Problems building zaptel 1.4.4
Hi, I'm having trouble compiling zaptel 1.4.4 on SUSE 10.1. I'm really only interested in getting ztdummy to work because this is a dev machine with no zaptel h/w. SUSE 10.1 is a 2.6 kernel: asterisk-dev:/home/hugh # uname -r 2.6.16.13-4-default It seems that my problem is related to autoconf.h - I cannot find that file: asterisk-dev:/home/hugh # find / -name 'autoconf.h'

ztdummy compile again
Hi, I'm still strugling with getting an easy to use conference system implemented. I did have app_conference running, but today I upgraded asterisk to 1.0.9 and it stopped working. I've tried following the instructions for compiling app_conference on 1.0.7 but it didn't work. So I went back to ztdummy (I've not had any luck getting this to compile on FC2). Anyhoo, I've

zaptel-1.4.0-beta2 Getting it to compile on Fedora Core 6 _64bit
I keep running into the dead end that it can't find config.h in the source tree. It looks like newer kernels don't use it anymore. Someone ran into this awhile back when compiling 1.2 and it looks as though the issue was never resolved. Any ideas? Last time I tried this, I was on fedora core 5 64bit and all went well. It's not working on this newer setup Any ideas on what I can do

Zaptel will not build
FYI: I am trying to build zaptel-1.2.4 against the recently updated kernel version 2.6.9-34.EL on Centos 4.2. but I am getting errors and it will not build. This is apparently due to a typo in a kernel header spinlock.h although I have not successfully modified the kernel and built zaptel against it yet. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=180568 This bug report has a typo

Problems with CentOS ztdummy kernel 2.6
Hi List, I am having some trouble with installing the latest version of ztdummy on a CentOS Kernel 2.6 system. I have installed a few Asterisk systems on Slackware Kernel 2.4.x without any issues, unfortunately there is no choice about this distro, or kernel as it has been preinstalled by someone else. And so I am in the dark with an unfamiliar distro and kernel. I am fairly sure the

Compiling Zaptel 1.2.10 on Ubuntu 6.10
Here's a weird problem that I'm not quite sure how to resolve. Zaptel 1.2.10 compiles just fine with "make", but when "make install" is run, this happens: [ `id -u` = 0 ] && /sbin/depmod -a 2.6.17-10-generic || : [ -f /etc/zaptel.conf ] || install -D -m 644 zaptel.conf.sample /etc/zaptel.conf build_tools/genmodconf linux26 "" "tor2 torisa wcusb

Re: zapata with Tiger3XX compilation error
Ok so I read the Linux 2.6 related README and finally compiled propperly, I thought but at the end I notice that lscpi does report the cards, but I cant modprobe wcfxo nor zaptel and I do have wcfxo.ko in the /lib/modules/2.6.8/extra/ directory, so what gives? This is a Debian Sarge, thanks! # # make clean starts here # make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/zaptel-1.4.0/menuselect' rm

Please help with install *
I'm a neewbie in Linux, so please bear with me. I have a school assignment to make communication between 10 SIP softphones (kphone). So far I got trouble installing Asterisk. The information in asterisk web site seems to be a bit outdated because it's mentioned only kernel 2.4. Since Mandrake cooker (10.2beta3) witch I'm using is using kernel 2.6.10, I wander if I have a chance to

Dahdi will not compile on Unbuntu Studio Linux 9.10 (Karmic) 32bit
Been trying to get this to go but nongo :-). I'm asking for some guidance especially if I should not be doing this on an RT kernel. I've installed what is supposed to be all of the requred deps. Some factors that may be adding to my problem are: 1. this is only a test.. it's a 32bit guest OS running in VMware under a 64 bit windows host.. (although I'be compiled it on other

I've got a fresh FC2 install and I'm trying to get the symlinks right according to the /usr/src/zaptel/README.Linux26 instructions. Help! - Unintelligible prompts and music
I have set up a couple of test Asterisk servers and have never had a problem with sound. I've just done a fresh install on a dual 1GHZ PIII Asus box running Fedora Core3 with the Digium PCI Dev kit and following all the various Core 3 How-To's. I can make calls ok but when any sound is sent from the Asterisk box such as voice prompts and music on hold the sound is completely chopped up in
