Cisco GW and DTMF problems
I'm stuck running a old copy of asterisk because something strange is going
on in later versions of the CVS..
When I call in from a PSTN into my cisco 2610XM gateway which then routes
the call to my asterisk box via sip.. Asterisk can no longer process DTMF
tones generated by the calling party. This affects DISA, prompts and
menus.. Has anyone else had this problem?? and use.. I DO have

RE: Cisco and PRI IOS load
Yes that is correct but most likely you wont't need/use every option in
an Enterprise load. Also, an enterprise load will require more memory
and flash;
which which will increase the cost of a router.

asterisk, cisco 3640's and DIDs...
I would think I could do this but for some reason I am stymied.
I have a PRI from RCN connected to a cisco 3640 (in my day "cisco" is
all lower case :-)). My config looks something like this on the cisco...

Help with Cisco PRI
Cisco PRI card in a 7200 running lastest IOS --> SIP --> *
Problem #1: SIP authenticates it under "general" and gives it the

NewTopic - Asterisk and Cisco AS5300 via E1/PRI
Hi,
I had previously posted about connecting an AS5300 to * via SIP/H323. I got it to work via SIP, but
only 1 call at a time would work, and if a user from the * side hung up, the cisco would'nt catch
the hangup.
I an now trying to hook up to the cisco via E1, with a Sangoma A101 card in my * box. I would like
it such that I call from * via E1/PRI to the cisco, and call out via R2 to

Cisco PRI no CallerID
* --> SIP --> CISCO --> PRI --> PSTN
The PSTN sees no callerid.
*---> PRI[zaptel]--> PSTN
Callerid is there... which makes me think it's the cisco, not the
PRI/PSTN/telco.
CISCO PRI--> * PRI [zaptel]
Callerid IS there... which makes me shake my head in disbelief, because
* can
see clid from the cisco pri, but pstn doesn't... but when * sends info

Asterisk and Cisco PRI gateway config
Hello,
I am using a Cisco-2,811 router with PRI as a gateway between Asterisk and
Nortel TX-1. I had problems with name transfer and with the help of Cisco
support I've fixed it. Enclosed here are the definitions needed for it.
BTW, Cisco's CCM is using MGCP thus the Q.sig is handled by CCM. Here I am using
SIP so the router must decode/encode the Q.sig.
The Nortel should be defined

Cisco router for PRI termination?
If you have a PRI terminated in a Cisco router talking SIP to * and would
be willing to share your Cisco config, please respond. Also, I would be
interested in knowing what version of IOS you are using. We are using an
NM-HDV in a 3640.

Cisco GW, PRI & CallerID Name
Does anybody have callerid name coming in on a Cisco PRI via a Cisco
gateway via SIP to *? I've seen a few people ask and a few people that
say it should work, but I've never seen an actual working config.
I do a debug on our Cisco gateway and I can see the callerid name,
however none of the features that should send it via SIP seem to work.
Cisco docs say to use the following:

SetCallerPres and Cisco PRI
Does anybody know if SetCallerPres works on calls via SIP through a
Cisco gateway? We are trying to mark outbound calls as anonymous and we
set it to prohib, but calls still show outbound callerid. We are SIP
from * to the Cisco gateway and then PRI outbound. If we strip the
callerid num, then the first number on the PRI gets added as teh
callerid, so we can't do that. We need to make

Cisco AS5300
Hi all,
I realize this is OT.
I just got a Cisco AS5300, and I need to configure it like such:
Asterisk -----(H323/SIP)------> Cisco ----- (E1/PRI)------->Telco
So calls originate from the Asterisk side (registered users on SIP or just ZAP phones), and they go
out H323 or SIP to Cisco, where they go out PRI.
I have the Asterisk side sorted :) (either H323 or SIP), I need help in the

Asterisk and Cisco AS53xx/54xx Access Server Platform
Hello,
I've got an ISDN PRI circuit terminating in a Cisco AS5350, which in
turn is talking to an Asterisk server via SIP for call origination and
termination. Seems simple enough, and it works for the most part,
but:
1) Caller ID name data comes in on the PRI, but doesn't appear to get
handed off to the Asterisk server via SIP, at least not in any
format that Asterisk

Cisco 7200 One-Way Audio
Hi,
I am experiencing one-way audio from:
SIP Device ----> Asterisk -----> Cisco 7200
The Cisco 7200 has a VXE+ card that will allow you to do SIP. I can pass
audio from SIP Device to Asterisk through the Cisco 7200 to the other end,
but the Cisco 7200 does not return any audio back to the SIP Device or
Asterisk, it seems. I have tried upgrading to 12.3T IOS version, but no

Interop with Cisco T1/PRI on the 2811 and PSTN
Hi,
Trying to set up a SIP environment with Asterisk - T1/PRI on Cisco 2811 - PSTN (Teltone TSP). SIP call looks working and I am able to make call from SIP phones to PSTN analog phones. But I have troubles with the Call from PSTN to the SIP phones. I guess the problem is the dial plan.
I am using four digits extensions (2301, 2302,..., 2xxx) on the Asterisk for the SIP phones and the full

Anyone see an issue on asterisk 1.2 that it will not accept the invite
from a Cisco gateway. If I turn off voice service voip signaling
forward unconditional then Asterisk accepts the call but without cname.
Below is a trace.
Any help is appreciated.

Cisco PRI to Asterisk & CallerID
Can anybody tell me if callerid name is supported running SIP between a
Cisco PRI gateway (any flavor) and asterisk? We have number support
working and I thought I read that name support was added somewhere in
12.3T, but I can't find that info any more. Thanks.

Cisco 3620 NM-HDV-T1 PRI
Does anyone have a config they'd like to share w/ the above hardware
doing termination for asterisk?
I've got one coming in tomorrow along w/ some DSP's and would like to
not have to create the config from scratch to start testing.

Cisco AS5XXX + CallerID Name
Hi guys.
We have currently Asterisk CVS-v1-0-08/15/05-15:53:48
connected in SIP with a Cisco AS5300 (IOS 12.3). One
PRI is connected to the Cisco gateway.
The problem we have is that on incoming PSTN calls to
the AS5300, relayed in SIP to Asterisk, the callerID
name is not being transmitted. We received the
callerID number but no name. I know we are receiving
the name from the PRI in

Cisco gateways and hairpinning
Hello:
Has anyone on this list had to configure hairpinning on a Cisco
gateway running IOS 12.2 or 12.3 and using a PRI for connectivity
to the PSTN? If so could you tell me how it is done? I'm told this
is the source of my call transfer problems and yet I cannot find
clear instructions for how the configuration is done.
Thanks,Steve
