TDM400P FXO and Primus TalkBroadBand
Hi all,
A while back, there was a short thread on using the FXS interface from
a Primus TalkBroadBand device (a DLink ATA) as a incoming line for the
FXO interface on the TDM400P:
Primus <--> DLink ATA FXS <--> TDM400P FXO <--> Asterisk
In that thread, a couple of people suggested that this does not work
reliabley, and the ATA FXS <--> TDM FXO link 'goes

Primus in Canada has launched a SIP-based service to replace your business
and residential POTS lines with a VoIP version. It's called TalkBroadband
and it looks killer:

OT: Canada's Primus introduces SIP localservice
I am sure Primus has a SIP platform because we have played with it. We
managed to use it on MSN's SIP phone as well as couple Zultys ZIP2x2
hard phones. Their PC-Phone app is also a SIP soft phone. If you are
registering to sip.iprimus.net then it is definitely their SIP platyform
not MGCP.

Vonage and Asterisk integration
All,
I have been thru the archives and all the relevant URL's sent to me. I have
sent e-mail to those who have gone before me and are attempting to
accomplish the same goal - no one has it working?. Doesn't anyone have a
WORKING asterisk pbx that hooks into vonage?
Thanks,
Jerry Roy

If you look at the specs on the Dlink box that Primus gives you, you will
see that it is SIP.

Servers
Hey guys,
Im interested in hearing about servers (and thier hardware specs) that
successfully run both asterisk and samba for an office of maybe about
12 extensions (SIP) and about 12 workstations. Im hopeing to not only
replace a traditional PBXs with Asterisk/Linux but to provide a solution
to needs such as a file serving, email serving, etc.
Ive read the Success stories form voip-info.org but

Asterisk with Primus Talkbroadband
Hey,
I've checked all over and can't find what I need to
know, so I'm posting here. I want to use Asterisk
with my Primus VoIP service but it seems I need a
username and password to authenticate with at Primus.
Has anyone had any experience with this? How did you
get it? Is it stored somewhere in the D-Link gateway
they gave me? Thanks in advance and sorry if this
makes no sense.

IP Intercom's
Im looking for an Intercom solution thats interoperable wit Asterisk. Ive
read several posts about people using the 2nd lines on some SIP phones
w/speaker phone. Unfortunatley I dont that is going to cut it in a large
warehouse enviroment. Does anyone have a solution that uses a
"loudspeaker" ?
Thank you,

(no subject)
Hey guys,
Im about to sign up for VoicePulse Connect. Of course, I plan on using my
asterisk server to "register =>" with the service. I would rather sign up
with VoicePulse via SIP instead of VoicePulse Connect. My asterisk box is
behind another Linux box serving as my nat/firewall. Does anybody think I
will have a problem ? Should I stick to IAX and VoicePulse Connect or can

src/etc/rc.firewall simple ${fw_pass} tcp from any to any established
Hi security@ list,
In my self written, large ipfw rule set, I had something that passed
http to allow me to browse most but not all remote sites. For years
I assumed the few sites I had difficulty with were cases pppoed MTU
!= 1500, from not having installed tcpmssd on my 4.*-RELEASE, but
then running 6.1-RELEASE I realised that wasn't the problem.

Local Outbound Calls on PRI
I'm in the process of turning up a PRI in one of my markets and have
run into a problem I have never seen before. I am unable to place a
local outgoing call. Long Distance over the same PRI works fine.
When I attempt to place a local call using the PRI I see Asterisk
attempt to dial, and am greeted with a busy signal. This signal
appears to originate on the telco's switch.

OT Vonage soft phone
In taking a cursory browse at Vonage's site today, I noticed they are now
offering a soft phone. Has anyone had any experience using this? And does
this possibly open new opportunities for using Vonage with Asterisk? Just
thinking outloud on the list, soliciting thoughts and experiences from
others.

SIP call hangup from asterisk CLI

We are using Vicidial and sometime even when agent disconnects, outgoing
call originated by dialer is still active. Since call was initiated by
dialer and then bought into meetme conference of agent and we can't corelate

When agents are dialing, channels doesn't show calls

POE hub
I need to connect up to sixteen phones per building, I can use a cheap hub,
but POE would be useful. Is there a cheap POE hub available? Everything I
have seen has been expensive.
