Hi, please tell me, is original skinny support in Asterisk stil under development or is better to try chan_sccp from http://chan-sccp.sourceforge.net ? my first try was unsuccessfull (chan_sccp compile OK, but module loading fail during Asterisk startup) and my phone (C7940) seems to be not supported in original chan_skinny :( PJ

Cisco 7960G, Skinny.conf, and reboots
I could use some skinny/Cisco help here. Was finally able to get the phone registered to * but whenever someone tries to call that phone it freezes and reboots itself. Same thing happens when you pick the handset up off the 7960G; it locks and reboots about 5 sec later. Here is what * shows when I plug the phone in: -- Starting Skinny session from 64.72.107.1 Device SEP000F3442E4A7 is

Problem with CHAN_SCCP
Hi, I have an asterisk running great, with 2 cisco 7912 phones converted to SIP, and a cisco 2600 xl w/ E1 and SIP. I?m thinking to expand the test adding more 7912, but I prefer not convert all the 7912 to SIP, so I?m tying to put CHAN_SCCP to work. I?ve get the sources from cvs.sourceforge.net but when I try to compile, get the followings errors: [root@asterisk01 chan_sccp]# make Now

chan_sccp new release
http://chan-sccp.berlios.de/ 20050713 ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/chan-sccp/chan_sccp-20050713.tar.bz2 I didn't have a spare 7960 to use this week, so maybe some line issue is still present. - fixed a memory leak on database updates (dnd, cfwd*) - fixed old memory leak on unload (now unload chan_sccp.so and load chan_sccp.so work. It does reload the config when asterisk is running) - socket

chan_sccp availability?
hi, I'm trying to get the latest chan_sccp. The links from http://chan-sccp.berlios.de are all dead. Is it just me? Does anyone know an alternate source to get chan_sccp? Seems like chan_sccp is the way to go if I have a bunch of cisco phones I don't want to use SIP on? Anyone else have an opinion on the built in asterisk skinny vs the chan_sccp? thanks, Andy

chan_sccp crashes Asterisk on startup
Say there! This is a new Asterisk install on Fedora; I downloaded and installed Asterisk 1.2.1 and it runs fine. I downloaded the 20051217 version of chan_sccp, compiled and it installs ok. When I start Asterisk, it dies on startup at the activation/recognition of the chan_sccp module... A snippit from the startup: Asterisk Dynamic Loader Starting: [res_musiconhold.so] => (Music On Hold

[OT - somewhat] chan_sccp status
Just wondering, I noticed on the chan_sccp site that a new release should have been released on 20-Jan-2005. Is there any news on the status of this release? As far as I can tell even the sourceforge CVS for chan_sccp didn't change much around that time - or since. -Chris

chan-sccp problem, phone is not registering
Hi list! I'm trying to configure the Kirk IP 600 wireless (DECT) system. The wireless phones are regular DECT phones, the Kirk IP 600 is doing the voip part by registering/gatewaying the phones to a callmanager server. The phones do not work and I think the problem is that they do not register at asterisk but I'm not sure because I don't understand a thing of the sccp/skinny

chan_sccp bug / problem
Hi list! I'm having some problems with chan_sccp and a Kirk IP600. Basically the handsets work (they emulate a Cisco 7940) but I have the following issues: 1. If a handset is in a conversation and there is a new incoming call, the incoming audio is muted (but the other party can still hear anything spoken on the handset). What is normal Asterisk behaviour, that a handset is left alone

Problem compiling chan_sccp
Hi, I recently bought a 7910. I found out too late that it would not do SIP as I initially thought. Anyway before ditchingit for a 7960 I wanted to try it out, I read that the guys at http://chan-sccp.sourceforge.net/ had done some improvements to the original chan_sccp driver and having 80% functionality with this model. I have not been able to compile their driver and keep getting the

chan_sccp and bristuff 1.0.3 weirdness
I am using chan_sccp on bristuffed asterisk (0.2RC3 on asterisk 1.0.3). Things seem fine but I am seeing some weird stuff. I have a Kirk IP600 connecting to * with 2 handsets. The weird thing is that for incoming calls the handset that is put second as my dialstring, never rings. This is my dial string: exten => 666666666,4,Dial(${PHONE1}&${DECT1}&${DECT2}),25,tm) Where DECT1

Chan_SCCP vs. Chan_Skinny
Lacy's response in the thread 'Why does everyone seem to dislike *now?', has a small bit that caught my eye. Chan_Skinny made a lot of progress between 1.2 and 1.4, and even more in the later 1.4.X releases. I am curious as to which features/functions that chan_skinny might be lacking compared to chan_sccp. We (the community) now have a small, but active, group of volunteers

asterisk & chan_sccp
ive got asterisk running with chan_sccp and three cisco phones (2 7910's and 1 7960). lots of bugs. when i press the speed dial button on either 7910, asterisk dies. also, if i dial from the 7910 to 7910, everything works fine. i can dial from or to the 7960 once, and then one of the 10's and the 60 die and try to reregister. if i take the 7960 out of the mix and remove its

chan_oh323: __use_ast_pthread_create_instead__ (was: chan_oh323 loading error)
Hi, > chan_oh323.so: undefined > symbol: __use_ast_pthread_create_instead__ is not a bug, it's a hint: use "ast_pthread_create" instead [what your were using] and means: replace in asterisk-oh/asterisk-driver/chan_oh323.c at line 3764 "pthread_create" by "ast_pthread_create" Roger.

Cisco 79XX Ringers & chan_sccp
Hello: Does anyone know how to configure any of the Cisco 79XX phones to get custom ringers when using chan_sccp with Asterisk? I've currently got Asterisk's 05-24-04 CVS-HEAD and Zozo's 0.2 release of chan_sccp. I've tried using ringlist.dat, but that appears to only be for the SIP phones... Thanks for any input, Andrew

Asterisk + Cisco 7920 + chan_sccp or chan_skinny
Greetings, I have seen a few postings in the past regarding the interop of Asterisk and the Cisco 7920 WiFi phone. To date, I have not seen a definitive method to getting the phone working. Assuming someone has this actually working, can that person step up and answer these questions. 1) What Channel is it working with (chan_skinny or chan_sccp)? 2) If code was used that is not a part of a
