Ideal Setup for T1/PRI and TE110P - second try
Hi all, I'm sure something similar has been discussed, but one can only
wade through the archives for so long.
I'm setting up a T1 and my telco has a bunch of questions it wants me to
answer. I know much of the TE110p is configurable to do any of this, but
I wanted to know if there is an optimal or preferred setup.
Any help would be appreciated. Here is the quiz my telco is giving me:

Dahdi PRI T1 Setup for TE210P
Hello,
I have been struggling with the configuration of this card on my box.
I have a T1 line and I am trying to setup asterisk with it.
I followed all the instructions and I still see a blinking red light on the
card.
I use fedora 12.
If everything is fine should I see a green line when I plug in the T1 line ?
I want to isolate the issue so I di not start asterisk. When I run asterisk

dahdi timing source multiple cards
I have a box with 12 T1s (4 Te410P cards). The PSTN provider is reporting

Two zaptel T1 cards: no clock from one
List,
I have a TE410P (T1 mode, all PRI) and a T100P (fxoks, for fxs channel
bank). I cannot seem to get the T100P to send any clock to the
channel bank. I prefer that it use the same clock source as the
TE410P, but it doesn't matter if it's not in sync just as long as it's
there.
The TE410P is configured 3x pri_cpe, 1x pri_net. The three cpe go to

T1 configuration, getting help via IRC?
In my * server I have a T100P, connected with a T1 crossover cable to an
Adtran TA750 with 2 FXO cards. After I do 'modprobe wct1xxp;ztcfg' the
alarm on the card starts blinking red. Running zttool confirmed that
yes, it is a red alarm. I've read a few previous posts on this type of
setup and I'm not too much closer. What should I be checking next? A
different cable? The

non-telephony use of T400P?
Another issue to consider is T1 framing. If your application is putting
bits onto the T1 at the rate of 1.544 Mbit/s then the T1 would need to
be unframed. I don't believe this is an option in zaptel! If however,
it is putting bits on at a rate of 1.536 Mbit/s and adding 8000 bit/s
for framing then you may be able use the suggestion below.

Getting confused on signalling mode Vs framing and encoding: T1 CAS
Hello,
I'm trying to make my asterisk box to act as a telco, in order to reproduce a US environment in europe.
Our telco provider is giving us those settings:
ESF
B8ZF
Inbound = E&M Immediate
Outbound sig =Wink Start
Yield to Glare = Yes
Those trunks are using CAS for signaling.
I have tried many configs/combinations in zaptel.conf and zapata-channels.conf
In zaptel.conf, when having

zapata.conf for non pri T1?
Hi again, I'm trying to setup our non pri T1 (they call it a Long Distance
T1), our current pbx has the signaling set to E&M, I can set em in
zapata.conf, but I'm trying to track down the proper entries for the
zaptel.conf file. The digium docs only show a PRI example. Our current
system has these settings:
Signalling: E&M
Framing mode: ESF
Line Coding: B8SZ

Help with T1 PRI Configuration
I'm ordering a PRI T1 for use with Asterisk and a Digium Wildcard TE405P.
The provider is asking me a number of questions about how I want to configure
the line.
Here goes:

2. Framing - SF, ESF
3. Line Coding - AMI, B8ZS
4. Signaling Type - Ground Start, E&M, Loop Start w/Ring, Loop Start w/o Ring

3rd T1 of quad card won't change signaling
Hello,
I'm trying to set the 3rd span of a new digium quad card as
a E&M T1 for Faxes to a Hylafax server. The 1st and 2nd
spans are working as PRIs. When I start asterisk, the logs
show a signaling error and chan_zap.c dies. I also get an
error that it can't read the gains but they are the
standard shown below.

Dahdi T1 CRC4 errors?
I have a system setup with two T1 circuits, the customer complains of
call quality issues. I've checked logs and don't see anything too
strange, but when I run "dahdi show status" I see:

Cisco 7200 One-Way Audio
Hi,
I am experiencing one-way audio from:
SIP Device ----> Asterisk -----> Cisco 7200
The Cisco 7200 has a VXE+ card that will allow you to do SIP. I can pass
audio from SIP Device to Asterisk through the Cisco 7200 to the other end,
but the Cisco 7200 does not return any audio back to the SIP Device or
Asterisk, it seems. I have tried upgrading to 12.3T IOS version, but no

TE410P card down.
I have three (3) TE410P in one machine running asterisk with SS7.
My problems started last week when one of my cards started switching to E1
every time after reboot. I set the following in dahdi.conf and that solve
the problem.
/etc/modprobe.d/
options wct4xxp t1e1override=0x00
Now all 4 ports on that card is down with Red Alarm. I tried rebooting the
machine and

I've got an asterisk 1.4.24 box with dahdi complete 2.1.0.3+2.1.0.2
I've got a 2 port T2XXP card attached with on T1 currently plugged in.
Inbound calls work fine, but outbound fail with the rather cryptic:

T1 Channel splitting PRI/data not working
I'll keep asking weird questions here:
I have two T1 WAN circuits originating at my asterisk box and
terminating at Asterisk servers at remote sites. Currently I use zaptel
ppp assigned to all 24 channels for data. Now I would like to split off
a few of these channels for voice trunks (I should use VOIP, but at the
moment I do not have fast enough servers for the codecs)

Perhaps everything isn't as spiffy as I thought
When running zttool the card still reports as internally clocked

And as pointed out by Peter I do get a lot of D-channel warnings ...

TE412P (T1/E1+DSP) digium card cause server crash
Hi all
I have a server that has two TE412P (T1/E1+DSP) cards installed. One of them
configured as an E1 PRI connected to PSTN and another one configured as a T1
E&M connected to Avaya PBX. Each card only uses two ports, so there are 2 E1
lines and 2 T1 lines connecting to this server. The purpose of this server
is as a TDM trunk gateway that gets call from E1/T1 and then forward to an

odd T1 issue
Howdy,
Just installed a new switch in a new location (Ubuntu, 2.6.24-24 kernel,
zaptel 1.4.12.1 built from source, libpri-1.4.10.1 built from source,
asterisk 1.4.26 built from source, wanpipe 3.5.4 built from source,
Sangoma A104d with firmware that is probably a year old).
I plugged in an RBS T1, ESF, B8ZS, wink start, and MF signalling. I stuck
with the defaults that the wanpipe build
