call/pickup groups
Hi, Anyone knows why there's a limit of 32 callgroup/pickupgroup in * ? It is coded as unsigned int but there's an hardcoded "if( X > 31 )" like line. IMHO, 32 group is very low and I wonder what impact it would have to increase it to 2^16-1 . Anyone?

Does rsync use encription also for local tranfers?
Hy everybody, I'm using rsync to backup/synchronize folders to/from USB connected external hard drives. But I can't find an answer to a doubt. Does rsync use encription also for local tranfers? For "local transfer" I mean a transfer that doesn't go through a network like folders synchronization with external hard drives. I'm asking because the speed of local transfers

extern calls interfere with optimizations
Hi, I have a frontend that could insert many calls to an external threading library, my problem is that would interfere with optimizations, particularly the inliner. Is there some way to do this ? I've considered leaving textual markers in function names, is that a legitimate solution ? James -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Updated Asterisk-NL
I have updated the voice prompts (mostly small fixes, but still work left to be done - however, it's usable now, I'd say) and the patch file (to current CVS) for Asterisk-in-Dutch. As far as I can tell, all of the grammar work is now in - if anyone has feedback to share, please do so before I spend lots of time cleaning up the patches so they can be integrated back.

Hatched symbols
Hello, I would like to build rectangles in a plot and use color and different type of hatching for filling rectangles. I don't find the way to draw hatchings. I'm thinking to build segment by segment inside each rectangle but I'm sure that exists a better way to do that. I didn't find any documentation about that. > symbols(1,1,rectangles=cbind(1,1),bg="red", ...

PRI(E1) Call recording with Digium cards?
Hi, I've been asked to see whether it is possible to do call logging for call center environments at a lower budget than the usual $1000 per channel. Afaik, with PRI this is possible through a high-impendance Y connection, but I wonder whether this would work with the Zapata cards. Anyone ever tried this? * Party in Paris
I'm coming to Paris Dec 19. I was wondering if there was any interest in having an Asterisk get together in Paris sometime near there. Any one out there interested? Anyone in Paris who could help organize something like that? :) Mark

ATXFER discussion, what's your opinion ?
Hi, I'm experimenting attended calls tranfers and I'm a little bit confused. In usual pbx's normaly there is no difference between an attended call transfer and a blind one: you just hit "transfer" then dial the extension you want the call to be transfered. If you stay on the phone you can talk to the other party, then, when you hangup, he will get the call. If you hang

Integration with Toshiba Strata DK424
I'm posting here in case anyone else runs into this and needs some help. I'll probably update the voip-info Wiki pages on Toshiba integration in a bit. Asterisk 1.6 makes things a bit easier than what is on that page. I'm integrating an Asterisk server with a Toshiba Strata system at my office. Right now, it is driving some VoIP phones (Cisco ATAs with analog phones plugged into

Re: Strangely slow tranfers speeds...
Peter, I have the similar issues with OpenBSD and Samba. I've detailed the revs in previous posts to the newsgroup. In my case one device, a Audiotron, can stream wav files fine from a windows share on a windows box, but not from a Samba share. Windows boxes can stream fine from the same Samba share. My attempts at oplock, etc. have had no effect. If you figure this out please let me

producing histogram-like plot
Hi! I have a dataset that looks like this: 0.0 14 0.0 3 0.9 12 0.73 15 0.78 2 1.0 15 0.3 2 0.32 8 ...and so on. I.e. a value between 0 and 1, and a number I would like to plot this in a histogram-like manner. I would like to have a set of bins, each 0.1 wide, and plot the sum of values in column 2 that falls within each bin. I.e, in this case I would like the first bin, 0.0, to have the

Multiple SIP registrations for one account?
Hi, For various reasons a customer of mine is moving from a SER-based to an Asterisk-based installation, mostly because of problems with SIP devices behind NAT trying to reach each other and because it's easier to do accounting when all calls go through Asterisk (canreinvite=no is the idea). The database-based SIP registration mechanism of Asterisk seems to have one shortcoming - it

plotting histograms/density plots in a triangular layout?
Hi! I have a set of 49 pairwise comparisons that I have done. From this I would like to plot either histograms or the density plots of the values I get. Now, I can plot one histogram per comparison, but I have problems getting the output I want. When plotting like I normally would do: histogram(~percid | orgA_orgB, data = alldata) I get the histograms next to eachother in a boxlike shape.
