list of voice prompts
Does there exist a text file with all the 'standard' Asterisk voice
messages? I'm planning to get them recorded in dutch, but need to know the
exact text of each prompt...

iaxtel and iax.conf
I have tried for over a month off and on to get iaxtel for inbound to
work... and tonight after alot of troubleshooting we noticed this:
iaxtel inbound will use the last entry in your iax.conf to auth against.
So if [iaxtel] is at the top and say [voicepulse] at the bottom. An
inbound call will try to auth against that [voicepulse] entry even with
the [iaxtel] entry at the top of the file. Has

BudgeTone 102 flakey sound
I have experienced lots of apparently dropped packets (in other words,
lots of short interruptions of what the other party tries to tell me)
with a GS102 and chan_capi. The GS102 is connected through a lightly-loaded
switch directly connected to the * server, so bandwidth/latency
shouldn't pose a problem. Funny thing is that the switch indicates
10mbit on the GS102 port - is that correct?

Updated Asterisk-NL
I have updated the voice prompts (mostly small fixes, but still work
left to be done - however, it's usable now, I'd say) and the patch file
(to current CVS) for Asterisk-in-Dutch. As far as I can tell, all of the
grammar work is now in - if anyone has feedback to share, please do so
before I spend lots of time cleaning up the patches so they can be
integrated back.

Multiple SIP registrations for one account?
Hi,
For various reasons a customer of mine is moving from a SER-based to an
Asterisk-based installation, mostly because of problems with SIP devices
behind NAT trying to reach each other and because it's easier to do
accounting when all calls go through Asterisk (canreinvite=no is the idea).
The database-based SIP registration mechanism of Asterisk seems to have
one shortcoming - it

producing histogram-like plot
Hi!
I have a dataset that looks like this:
0.0 14
0.0 3
0.9 12
0.73 15
0.78 2
1.0 15
0.3 2
0.32 8
...and so on.
I.e. a value between 0 and 1, and a number
I would like to plot this in a histogram-like manner. I would like to
have a set of bins, each 0.1 wide, and plot the sum of values in column
2 that falls within each bin. I.e, in this case I would like the first
bin, 0.0, to have the

* Party in Paris
I'm coming to Paris Dec 19. I was wondering if there was any interest in
having an Asterisk get together in Paris sometime near there. Any one out
there interested? Anyone in Paris who could help organize something like
that? :)

Still unacceptable echo on X101P
I am still having unacceptable echo on my X101P and twidling with the
rx/tx gain levels and echo settings appears to have no discernable
effect.
Some questions for those who may have more significant electrical
engineering background than I.
1. This impedance match thing ... will it affect this solution having
other phones in parallel with the X101P? This is done so that I can
test while not

Prompt recording
Does anybody have useful tips on creating good quality recordings for
use with prompts in asterisk? I'm interested in hearing input on
hardware (mics, dats, sound cards, etc) and software (recording
software, dsp) as well as recording techniques.

plotting histograms/density plots in a triangular layout?
Hi!
I have a set of 49 pairwise comparisons that I have done. From this I
would like to plot either histograms or the density plots of the values
I get. Now, I can plot one histogram per comparison, but I have problems
getting the output I want. When plotting like I normally would do:
histogram(~percid | orgA_orgB, data = alldata)
I get the histograms next to eachother in a boxlike shape.

asterisk-gui installation hangs
Hi,
I use asterisk branch 1.4 and gui 1.4 as well.
I have the following situation:
When I try to make gui configuration by
http://localhost:8088/asterisk/static/config/setup/install.html
I can see that application logs my user correctly but there is no
browser window shift to the next page. it stays at the logging one.
I get the following info in the console:

ZapBarge restrictions?
Anyone successfully implemented a solution for allowing ZapBarge call
monitoring only for a specific group of agents calls?
The issue I see is that the feature only works on zap channels, and all
of the agents (in many cases) are IP phones.
Allowing ZapBarge and ZapScan on the TDM PSTN (t100p) interface has
privacy issues for senior managers, but would allow all outbound zap
calls to be

*, Fritz!PCI and strange behavior
I'm testing * (CVS-09/16/03-02:07:49 with zaprtc 0.0.1) with Fritz!PCI
(chan_capi 0.3.0), and have a couple of funny things - I wonder if anyone
else has seen them:
- Now and then, * just exits. Until now I had lowish-level verbosity on,
so all I saw was 'Executing last minute cleanups'. What can trigger
* exits? (in other words, what should I pay attention to when

US Caller ID
Okay, I can't find what might be causing this. Here is what I got:
Asterisk server hooked up to a digital T1 line (full 24-channel) via a
Digium card.
Verizon has turned on caller ID on the first line (I can guarantee it
is on as I can hear the FSK tones on this line but not the others).
Using zttool an ZapScan() I have determined the following:

Call Recording Servers
We are looking at using Asterisk as a call recording server for an Avaya
VoIP S8700 system in a multi-site VoIP Call Center. All calls will be
coming in to one location and sent out via VoIP to other call centers.
What kind of specs should we be looking at purchasing for our Asterisk
server to be record up 200-300 calls simultaneously?
Linux runs in 64 bit architecture, but does Asterisk

Subject: AsteriskNOW generation of zapata.conf file
I am a new user of Asterisk, and an trying to use AsteriskNOW. The test

ChanSpy by anthm and more...
Everyone we have a few new things to give back to the asterisk community.

These include app_chanspy, the ability to spy on ANY bridged call taking
place inside asterisk. NOT just ZAP as with ZapScan/Barge.

How can I know if I wrote the configuration like correctly
Hi list;
While I am writing my configuration on the .conf
files, I would like to know if I wrote the command in
write syntax (form), there is not any way to check if
I am writing correct or not (other than checking my
documentation)?
Also, is there any method for searching on specific
topic about asterisk (a command details and usage),
from my computer (like help and so on)?

live monitoring
Hello,
I've search through all of the lists and cannot find any descriptions of
live monitoring (monitoring a phone call going on between an extension and a
zaptel channel live from another extension while the monitoring phone is
muted). I am aware of the monitor function which is actually a call
recorder, but I'm looking for live monitoring from a muted extension. is
this easily
