Application almost there..Dialplan challenges
Aloha, I have a Cisco Gateway the is functioning as my SIP Gateway to the PSTN. I have an Asterisk box, RC2 with a for port FXS card providing dialtone for a Norstar Key System. I have it working so when you press a line key on the Norstar you get dial tone from the Asterisk box. Choosing a VoIP Phone
Greetings all, My next step is to purchase a nice VoIP phone for my desk. I have a grandstream, and the sound is great, but I'm looking for more of an office style phone, preferably that can handle multiple lines, has a more flexible display (i.e. name as well as number). SIP would be preferable. Any suggestions? Thanks, Eric

Asterisk newbie questions
Hi everyone. I'm a bit of a Linux newbie, but I've been doing tech stuff for ages. I'm also brand new to *. I've been reading the Voip.org wiki, and perusing the list archives for a while since I've been asked to investigate using IP telephone / soft phones for a call-center type scenario. People (marketing folks) have pointed me at Cisco, but I really don't wanna.

Using Macro's that cause loops, on purpose and using h, exten in default twice
Please see my extensions below. I will try to type you through this. In default, an extension 5149053538 is matched on. This fires a macro that determines what time is it, and resets a variable which is then used to call another macro to place a call. if the call is answered, and the far end hangs up, the dial macro exits, then the routing macro exits, and you are back to default. at this point

Astricon 2004 links collection
Does anyone have a good list of links to the various presentations at Astricon, specifically one including a link to the performance analysis by those guys from Belgium? I would love to get a closer look at their graphs because it was impossible to read them, and I was pretty close to the front! -- Kristian Kielhofner

Pictures of the Digium booth at ISPCon 2005
Hello everyone, Even though a lot of it was a bit last minute, several of us from the commnunity made it to Baltimore to help Digium with their booth at ISPCon. It was a great time. Gregory Boehnlein, Brian Capouch, Christian Savinovich, Kristian Kielhofner (me), and John Todd (not pictured) were there (as well as others), and some pictures were taken (the up close ones of me were very

VoiceConduits - Notice
Hello, This is David Deutsch, and I'm the owner of VoiceConduits. There seems to be some confusion related to our company, regarding the past few posts. VoiceConduits is currently NOT open for public business, we have never to date advertised or attempted to attract business. It appears that a few people heard about our company via a mention in a SineApps article and found our beta

G729 and Meetme
I have noticed that when I try to connect multiple G729 VoIP devices into a MeetMe conference that I can only add up to the number of G729 licenses I have. Now I would think that because all the devices are G729, this wouldn't be the case and the only license that would ever be used would be if a non G729 device or Zap channel was a part of the Meetme conference. This is apparently note the

Win32 syslinux needs to support mount points, disk numbers or volume names in addition to drive letters
As you know, the Linux version of syslinux supports mount points. But for the Win32 version, it only supports drive letters as in: syslinux ?ma e: However, drive letters are not always available, such as drives mounted to NTFS folders. In order to install syslinux to these drives, future release of syslinux should support using mount points as the drive spec; or alternatively, support disk

[LLVMdev] Can't Bootstrap llvm-gcc4.2 on Ubuntu 11.04 32-bit
I can't bootstrap llvm-gcc4.2 on Ubuntu 11.04 32-bit. It's not a test failure; instead the configure scripts break in all kinds of mysterious yet spectacular ways. I spent a couple days beating my head against those completely indecipherable shell scripts then gave up for now. Is there a buildbot that runs Ubuntu 11.04? If not may I suggest that one be set up? new ssd to play with
I grabbed a new SSD M4-CT064M4SSD2 from Crucial. I am disappointed. I stuck the unit in an Atom machine (zotac) with CentOS 6 on the disk. It really doesn't "feel" faster than the previous 5400 RPM drive that was in it. The SSD is giving me (in the zotac running centos 6): hdparm -t /dev/sda /dev/sda: Timing buffered disk reads: 298 MB in 3.00 seconds = 99.30 MB/sec The

Call connected, cannot hear or speak - $20 for fix
I am able to get this script to dial, but I am unable to talk or hear anything. The script asks for the number to call and the the caller id to display (if user is not at their normal extension). Once submitted, the external extension receives a call, once answered the call is then placed to the dentition number. The script works as the call is place, but I cannot hear or say anything. Any one
