ztdummy build problems
Hi all, Trying to build ztdummy on an old redhat 7.3 box running kernel 2.4.20-43.7.legacysmp. Yes, I have the kernel sources installed. Yes, I set them up with make oldconfig; make dep. The build error is: make ztdummy gcc -I/usr/src/linux-2.4/include -O6 -DMODULE -D__KERNEL__ -DEXPORT_SYMTAB -I/usr/src/linux/drivers/net -Wall -I. -Wstrict-prototypes -fomit-frame-pointer -I/usr/src/

Kernel 2.6 and ztdummy?
I wanted to solve this myself, but it is time to admit I know nothing about the kernel Internals and modules. I'm starting in the users list, hoping someone has seen this and knows of a fix, as the developers are clearly busy and this is not critical for me. I cannot get ztdummy to load, as it complains about unknown symbols. I search The kernel headers and all of the zap source and these

Music On Hold distorted
I have searching the forums here on how to get Music On Hold working and I have been able to get * to accept a command for MusicOnHold and for Meetme after loading the ztdummy module. I used the default config for /etc/zaptel.conf since I saw no guidance on this. My problem now is that when I activate MusicOnHold, the sample music file sounds very slow and distorted. My best guess is that it is

ztdummy won't compile
For both the latest CVS and the packaged distribution. I dug up the patch that Jean-Denis Girard posted to the list fall 02 to fix the usb problems with the 2.4.20 kernel but that won't apply (not a big suprise). Is this code already integrated? Any other know issues with ztdummy? This is on Suse 9 (kernel 2.4.21-99 SMP). Here's a quick snip of the errors that are thrown when I

Fwd: hdlc and kernel 2.4.26
Hello, I contacted Krzysztof Halasa, the maintainer of the current sethdlc code. This is the response he gave me. Of course, I have this working now. Still some minor configuration to do, but It does work, and the connections to the internet are _much_ faster than when I went through the adtran... I would highly recommend to anyone with a fractionated T1, with data and voice channels to

Problems with loading TE110 module
Hello! I discovered, that I'm unable to load ther kernel module under 2.4.28. Before that I had 2.4.26 and tryed to upgrade the kernel to 2.4.28. After restart (reboot - soft restart) I can't load the module. When I go back to 2.4.26 and try to load the module, I'm getting the same problem. Only turning off/on helps. What can I do? It's very annoying because the box is in hosting

smbfs Unicode patch for 2.4.x kernel
Hi, I'm looking for a patch to the redhat 2.4 kernel to add Unicode support to smbfs. My particular version is 2.4.26. I searched the list archives and found someone named Urban Widmark claimed to have a patch for 2.4.18, but his URL is outdated. If anyone has this patch, please let me know -- this would help me greatly. Thanks! - Julian

Strange Quality problems with Asterisk, Gentoo, Redhat and Kernels - /dev/dsp
I've compiled Asterisk on Redhat 9 and Fedora Core 1 in the past, generally without any problems. Especially w/ the stock kernel, which I generally loathe. When I tried to upgrade my Redhat 9 Server to the 2.4.27 kernel, doing a manual/clean compile, I had massive quality issues. I was forced to go back down to a stock 2.4.24 kernel. Never figured out why. Now, I've installed Gentoo

Kernel 2.4 and Centos4
Hi, Has anyone used a 2.4 series kernel on RHEL4/Centos4? There's a patch (openmosix) which I would really like to make use of [seeing as I just got 10 diskless computers...] which is not ready (yet) for the 2.6 kernel series... Can I just drop in a 2.4.26 series kernel and continue to have a working system? Or is RHEL now totally dependent on 2.6 kernel features? Cheers, MaZe.

HTB is losing packets ?
Hello all, I have using htb for last 10-12 months to manage the bandwidth share. Until last month everything was ok, but now after a kernel upgrade (from 2.4.20 to 2.4.26 because a kernel bug that generate a oops) the Linux router is droping packets. It is weird because the "tc -s class ls dev eth1" (in the class I monitor) reports no packet drop, the "tc -s qdisc ls dev
