similar to: IAXy loud static problem

Hi, I have three Iaxy devices (s101i) parts. Two of them seem to work fine. The third plays a loud repeating click sound when an analog phone is plugged in. I can provision all of them, and make calls to all of them. The clicking one will blink when a call is incoming, but no audio from the call can be heard on the handset, and the caller only hears silence. The same handset works on the

Folks, Randomly, when the phone is taken off-hook, the the Iaxy produces a irritating banshee scream as opposed to a dial-tone. Cycling the power fixes the issue, & sometimes it magically goes away by itself. Has anyone experienced this issue & potentially fixed it? I'm using asterisk CVS head as of jun 17 2004. Thanks, Glen

I've heard comments about the instability of the IAXy (loosing IP, locking up, etc) . I want to deploy some, in a remote site. The comments on the instability suggest that the simplest approach is to power-cycle them when you have problems. The IAXy would only be in use from 3PM to 8 PM. Yesterday I was using one of the cheap Radio Shack phone polarity on various phone outlets in my house and ended up plugging it into my IAXY. While the regular phone jacks tested OK, the IAXY tested as being reverse polarity. The tester was plugged directly into the IAXY so there is no chance of this being caused by crossed wires.
