Polycom Sip Registration

Polycom IP 600
I am getting ready to install Asterisk and I was looking into the Polycom IP600 phones. I spoke with Polycom sales to verify the multiple line appearance and they said it would work. More specifically, if lines 1-3 all contain the same SIP registration info, the Polycom will only send out 1 SIP registration to the server and then handle the calls ringing on multiple lines. Red Alarms - FXS(Signalling Q)

Polycom IP 500 - Quality Issues
Hello, We have 15 Soundpoint IP 500 phones and recently call quality has deteriorated. On some calls there is a static-buzzing of sorts that occurs when users talk. It can be picked up on SIP-SIP calls and SIP-ZAPTEL (Channel BANK<<-T100P). It basically sounds really weird whenever someone talks, it sounds like a bee buzzing or something. Very hard to explain. MWI not working on Polycom Phones

All you polycom folks.....
Just out of curiosity, What version of CVS and Polycom SIP software are you running happily? Are you running SIP 2.3.0 yet? 2.2.0? 2.1.0? I tried upgrading the CVS yesterday, with a mixed mode of 2.2 and 2.1 with poor results. Transferring did not work as expected. Using the # key to do blind transfers after a call was on hold did not work. Just curious. Thanks, - Brent

Hard Ground (On Ring)
We have been experiencing static noise on one of our phone lines connected to our Adtran Total Access 750 which is then connected to a T100P card. I was convinced that, after rain storms, the static would get worse, it was surely a problem of Verizon's. Verizon sent a field rep out today and he told our secretary (I was busy) that there was a hard ground on the Ring portion of the line.

Multi-Line sip phone?

Polycom IP600 - no ring?
Have a strange problem... When a C7960 calls the Polycom ip600, the ip600's first line button blinks, the ip600 display shows the proper callerid, but the phone does not ring at all. If I call the same ip600 from a bt102, the ip600 rings properly. If I call the same ip600 from another C7960, the ip600 rings properly. All phones and asterisk are on the same lan within a few feet. Check with your telco. We had the same problem on 1 of our PRI's, every day at 5:00 sharp, red alarm, with all calls cut off for 30 seconds exactly. Turns out the equipment at the CO was going into a test loop at that time because of a forgotten setting by a tech. Polycom and CallerID
I'm having a problem with the callerID that the polycom IP600 phones are displaying. I would like to modify the CIDName and leave CIDNumber as exactly what the phone call came in as(provided they aren't hiding callerID). Polycom IP600 stops to send/receive calls
Hi, I'm testing a Polycom IP600. With firmware version 1.1 the phone reboots at any time. With firmware version 1.2, the first reboot was an endless reboot. Then I moved the phone to another lan port, then it worked fine. Then I installed again in the initial lan port and the phone works well. However after some time of inactivity (1 hour?), the IP600 stops to send and receive calls.

Polycom 500 - Dialtone while connected
I just set up a Polycom 500 on *. Every few calls I make, the call connects and the receiving party can hear me (thru Broadvoice), but I still get ringing on my end, as if they never picked up. * logs look just fine. hints and polycom IP 300 phones
Hi all, I've just updated to current CVS, and have 2 polycom IP phones, one is a IP600 and the other is a IP300. The IP600 shows the status of the IP300 and a ZAP line quite nicely, but the IP300 won't show the status of the IP600.... Polycom IP600 - Worth the extra $$
Hello, I am looking at the Polycom phones. The ip600 has a very nice screen, is that the only real advantage over the ip500 and ip300.. Is it worth the extra dollars?
