NPA NXX data
HI all - I know, slightly off list, but.. I'm looking for a NPA NXX database with City and State. Actually it's for an Asterisk routing app I'm working on. I see several vendors that want a few bucks to those that want an arm and leg. I expect this is published somewhere by some government agency, but Google hasn't got me to it yet.

Valet Parking and SuperValet Parking - back level
It seems Valet Parking and Super Valet Parking won't compile with CVS after 3/4/2005. Apparently some major reworks to Asterisk has broken the out-of-tree modules. Ref: http://bugs.digium.com/view.php?id=3573
The standard Parking lacks functionality and doesn't support contexts. Yet the more current CVS supports several much needed features like Chan Spy and native MOH as well as

IAX Video and Meetme
Hi
I'm browsing around the internet looking for signs that the IAX client
library and app_meetme support video.
I stumbled across this post by SteveK on the 27th of Feb 2006.
"My company is looking to hire a full-time developer, who will be working
about 25-50% of the time on iaxclient; in particular to finally integrate,
build, polish and enhance video in iaxclient, add video

Iax Client Library Issues? (DIAX, iaxComm, etc.)
Hi,
I seem to be having problems with IAX clients based on the iaxClient
library. I have been working on my own client (an augmentation to the
Call Manager I released last week) and it seems to regularly miss
incoming calls entirely. It also occasionally misses the drop signal
when the remote end drops a call.
Has anybody else seen this kind of behavior? I have tested with my
client, with

Embedded IAX
Hi All,
I've been lurking here for a while now, having only made a couple of
posts. I am starting a new hardphone project and was wondering if there
is some GPL'ed IAX source that I could start with. I've searched and
haven't come up with much beyond iaxClient. While iaxClient does give
me a little bit to start with, it looks like it is really intended to

Recommended IAX softphone.
After having been toying around with asterisk and various VoIP stuff
for a couple of weeks now, I want to recommend a preferred protocol
and softphone to friends and family for calling me up.
As SIP and H323 are such a mess to set up in NATed environments, the
only reasonable protocol option right now seems to be IAX.
After looking at http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+IAX+clients

Announcing IAXCLIENT v0.02 A cross-platform IAX client.
Asterisk-people,
Some of you may have heard that we were working on a simple,
cross-platform IAX client library called "iaxclient".
We've pretty much been "on vacation" with the project for a while,
but recently have made some progress, and now have the library working
across platforms, and a simple test client called "testcall", up and
running on 3

iaxComm - IAX client for Win32
iaxclient.sourceforge.net is the home of Steve Kann's crossplatform port of the
iax library.
iaxComm is a client written in c++ using wxWindows. There is a Win32 binary on
the site. I think that it should be compilable on Linux and MacOSX, but can't
test it.
Feedback is welcome.

IAX on windows
I know this has come up before but...
Has anyone done anything to get an IAX client built on Windows?
I thought someone had started one, but I haven't heard anything about it
since - and that was months ago?
Anyone have any idea what the status is?

IAX based war dialer
This may be of interest -- as a tool we can use to test our systems and as
a weapon that may be used against us :)
http://warvox.org/
A brief read-over looks like it uses iaxclient and ruby to war dial a
range of numbers and record audio samples to be analyzed to identify if
the call was answered by a modem, fax machine, human, etc.
The calls are placed through a PSTN termination

IAX and Jitter problem
Hello,
I've been playing around with * for quite a while now, and have run into a
problem that I just cannot seem to figure out.
When using * and any IAX client (I have tested with GnoPhone and both
clients from iaxclient.sourceforge.net) I have incredibly bad jitter on the
connection.
What I'm running is a P3-1Ghz machine with 512mb ram for a server. The

Re: Incoming echo cancel
The fact that your SIP people are hearing their own voice, but the inbound caller is not is the correct behaviour for your 'echoless' digital termination. If you were to tap the channel in the T1 leaving your premises you would find that the echo is coming in from beyond your interfaces. Similarly if you called another party that was also on all-digital facilities (ie. call back into one
