Xrender and OpenGL troubles in Darwine
Hey all,
I'm very new to Wine, but I was very excited about the potential behind it, so I tried installing the 2.2.3 X11 XQuartz package from http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/Releases and kronenberg.org/darwine 's stable 1.0 version of Darwine on my Macbook that is running Leopard 10.5.3. The installs were easy, but I'm having some difficulty now with actually getting some

iTunes plugin help, please?
Hello,
I'm afraid this is a terribly noobish issue, but I can't figure out how to
install you FLAC/OGG plugin for iTunes. I read the ReadMe file that came
with the download, but it wasn't terribly specific on WHERE the file is
supposed to be copied in the library. I tried copying it to the
library/iTunes/Plugins folder, but nothing happened.
Could you please help me out with a

Seattle IAX Termination
Does anybody know of any commercial providers of IAX termination with
DIDs in the Seattle, WA area? I believe the area codes are:
425, 206, 253
Failing any commercial providers, is there anybody in the seattle area
running Asterisk with a PRI coming in who might be willing to sell me an IAX
trunk with a DID in Seattle?

Choppy Sound On Bridging From SIP->IAX
I am experiencing choppy sound when I bridge from a SIP peer to an IAX
peer. I am running Asterisk 1.4.13 on a 2.6.22.9 kernel (Fedora). I am
experiencing choppy sound from the SIP peer to the IAX peer but not
vice-versa. I know that this is not a bandwidth issue because I don't
have choppy sound (with the same codec) when bridging IAX->IAX peers or
SIP->SIP peers. My timing source is

SLA and Flashing BLF
I understand that the Asterisk SLA implementation is somewhat different
from most key systems and PBX systems. I also understand that in
Asterisk, one does not put an SLA line on hold since it is just a MeetMe
conference. However, is there any way to make the BLF flash when the
answering party on the Asterisk system presses the hold key on their set
and leaves the calling party alone in the

Windows Update and DMZ
I am running a LEAF Bering firewall with a DMZ at one of my client''s sites.
The client has a Windows IIS server set up in the DMZ. The DMZ rules block
all outgoing connections on all ports.
The client wants to be able to run Windows Update on the server, which uses
ports 80 and 443. However, opening all port 80 and 443 connections from the
server to the net zone is not an option,

Disconnection From IAXTel
I am using IAX soft clients (firefly, IAXComm, IAXPhone) from a Win2K
machine on a NATed private LAN to connect to my IAXTel account. All of my
calls to outside numbers(1-800, 1-877, etc) seem to be disconnected after 9
seconds. Has this limit been placed on IAXTel? My call to the echo test
number at 1-700-999-9613 seemed to run for as long as I wanted.

smbpasswd for normal user
Dear all,
I have set up file sharing for users' directories on a RH7.2 linux
server. I am running Samba 2.2.1a
I configured all Linux users who have the right to use Samba to belong
to "smbuser" group.
However, user can't change their password using smbpasswd command. Only
root user can change the password for user.
When user tries to change password using smbpasswd, the

I am sorry if this message has been reposted, but for some reason I am
having problems with posting it.
I configured asterisk and zaptel modules with fedora2.
I want to be able to load the zaptel wcfxo and wcfxs modules.
For now I will use only the Wildcard TDM400P card.
I am able to load the modules but I cant configure them using ztcfg or

put all those users in a group, and delete all the user ACLs on that

XFS has a low limit on the number of entries in an ACL (about 20)
However, I don't know why you are getting the error 'Argument list too
long' - I get 'Operation not permitted' when I try to and an entry that
goes over the limit ...
