UK Callerid bug #1719 & TDM400p
Hi
Is this patch (http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0001719) the
best/only way to get callerid working in the UK with a tdm400p? I thought
I'd seen a patch that'd gone into cvs, but maybe I was just imagining things
;)
Should this patch work against current cvs? Of the 3 files 2 are .patch and
one is .diff - what's the difference between them, and how should I

Strange FXS disconnection problem.
Hi All,
I've tried to find the solution to this, but sadly met with failure.
I've got an asterisk box with two X100P's in, and both cards have the
same strange problem. After 2min 40seconds (always: within +/- 1sec)
they drop an outbound call. Inbound calls are not affected... they stay
up as long as required.
I've seen a fair bit of chatter about similar kinds of

Connection TDM400P to UK PSTN
I'm a complete Asterisk novice and have an installation based on the Asterisk@HomeCD.
I've installed my TDM400P with 2 x FXO & 2 x FXS, but every time I try to dial out, I get a message "No circuits available".
Can someone confirm the pinouts for connecting the FXO's to a UK BT Line - I have RJ11 connectors on the back of my TDM400P card, so ideally I'd like to

Ring/Off-hook in strange state 6
HI I have two servers both of which get this message on one of the lines.
Ring/Off-hook in strange state 6. The one server seems to be ok with it, but
the other one when an extension picks up there is no one there and the
incoming call keeps ringing. I tried to adjust the levels in wcfxo.c like
someone had suggested, but it didn't do anything. I also upgraded zaptel to
the latest. 1.2.18 and

Disconnect Supervision UK / BT solution?
Hi all
I'm using sangoma a200 cards in the UK and have the ongoing, often noted
problem of disconnect supervision with BT POTS lines.
Just noticed this post on
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/UK+Asterisk+Details
stating that potentially someone's got a solution :

nmbd won't start
I am using Ubuntu Linux 9.10 (the latest).
After I updated using the update manager the samba suite to the most current packages, nmbd refuses to start.
I tried it manually, /usr/sbin/nmdb -D but it does nothing, (doesn't show up in the process list). Could this update be broken?

X101P on a UK BT line ---- txgain issue
I am finding that I have to increase the txgain in zapata.conf to 8 when my
X101P is connected to my BT phone line, otherwise people can hardly hear me.
This then gives echo issues.
Do other people have the same problem on BT lines. I was wondering if I
should give BT a call and get them to increase the gain on the line. Strange
though as the rxgain is OK and I don't have this problem with

Hangup Supervision Issue on Digium TDM11B
Hi all,
I need help in disconnect supervision. Im running on AAH ver.2.5 at home
with TDM400P with 1 FXO and 1 FXS (TDM11B). I have implemented DISA on
AAH for origination (PSTN to VOIP bridging).
I'm facing problems with disconnection supervision. My calls are not
getting disconnected at times and it causes a lot of loss as the
provider is charging me.
After some serious study i have found

fxo connection in the UK
Thank you very much for this hint. My apologies that I messed up a thread for my post - I had a
message open and simply clicked on the link ... slap slap.
Would anyone know of a better choice to multiplex three fxo lines into an asterisk box? I can still
use three Digium X100P cards, but methinks, a seperate unit would be better.
Thanks again,
Peter

TDM400P not detecting hangup and not hanging up.
Can anyone suggest where I might begin looking for an answer please?
I have just installed a TDM400P (2x FXS and 1x FXO modules installed)
The first problem is that it does not seem to be able to detect if the
remote party has hung up when a call comes through on the FXO. For example,
if someone calls in, and then hangs up at any time after it starts ringing,
Asterisk carries on as though the

Hang-up Supervision (UK)
Hi everyone,
I've just got my X100P card installed and working but there seems to be an
issue with hang-up supervision.
If I stuff a call out over the X100P card onto the PSTN that's fine. When I
hang up the SIP phone the PSTN call ends. If I receive a call from the
PSTN, it's answered and everything is ok until the remote party hangs up.
Asterisk thinks the call is still active and

TDM400P not answering or making calls
Hello,
I have recently purchased a TDM400P card with one FXO expansion card,
and I'm having problems.
The card does not pick up incoming calls. Asterisk detects the ringing
line and rings various SIP phones as required. When a sip phone
answers, the sip user hears nothing and the PSTN user continues to
hear ringing. Here is the asterisk output for an incoming call:

Getting Asterisk to automatically dialout
Hi,
I'm trying to get asterisk to auto-dail out. I created a *.call file
with the the top of it being "Channel: Zap/1/2609944", which should have
connected to Zap channel 1 and dial out to 2609944, but It did not do
so, asterisk would say a call was completed to Zap/1/2609944 but I never
heard that phone ring. So I tried just putting "Channel: Zap/1" at the

TDM400P FXO - Any one got it working well in UK without Hangup problems
Hi Guys,
I recently got a TDM400P 4 FXO for use in the UK, this at the time seemed
like a good idea as I had good results with an X100P clone.
Installation went great and call clarity is excellent no echo like I had on
the clone card.
My problems start with detecting hanging up the line. If a person calls
into the system and speaks to me on a SIP phone when I hang up the call

UK Caller ID with TDM400P
Has anyone here managed to get UK Caller ID (BT) working using a
TDM400P card? .
I've got the latest drivers from CVS, but can't find clarification if UK
caller ID is supported and if so what the settings should be.
Cheers
Graham

UK zaptel and zapata.conf for TDM400P
Has anyone got a sensible zaptel.conf and zapata.conf for 2 TDM400P's
working with UK set-up.
They're set-up with 7 analogue phones and 1 PSTN port.
Currently zaptel.conf has
fxoks=1-7
fxsks=8
loadzone=uk
defaultzone=uk
It's really zapata.conf that would be useful.
Currently using the zaptel/asterisk that comes with Ubuntu (latest)
which needed a bit of tweaking (1.2.16), but could

Do I need a ring capacitor to use TDM400P cards in UK
Hello
I have played about with a TDM400 card and plugged in some standard analog phones. I am using the card in FXS mode - for analog extensions. I did notice that one of my phones did not ring and I wondered why. I later read in Paul Mahler's book VoIP Telephony with Asterisk that in his section on the TDM400 on page 127 he says "In the UK, you may need an adapter that provides a

Thanks for the suggestion. I have busydetect=yes in zapata.conf.
You refer to "Martin's algorithm". Can you provide more details please?

Zaptel, Line Impedence and Echo
Hi,
I'm not sure if I just missed something somewhere along the way, but I
noticed while I was going through the CVS logs that there is an option
in the wcfxs module to set an "opermode" - which apparently might help
with echo issues around the globe (like the ones I'm seeing - some
times).
So I'd love to use it and give it a go. Apparently, there are some
options that
