Hi All - I was looking all over for xvidtune on Centos 8. could not find it. tried yum provides "*/xvidtune" tried yum search xvidtune Google pointed me to: https://centos.pkgs.org/8/centos-powertools-x86_64/xorg-x11-apps-7.7-21.el8.x86_64.rpm.html So I installed the apps and of course xvidtune is part of that. I am trying to hook up linux to an LCD 1333x768 LCD TV. XP in 1024x768 show up just fine. X does not. I have set the screen preferences to 1024x768. I installed C7 along with MATE desktop... My monitor is a 4K unit but when I goto the System -> preferences -> hardware -> Displays there is selection for the 4K display. It stops at 1920x1080. I have a Dell 2007FP monitor. NV43 (GeForce 6600) can not use the native resolution. 1600x1200 is listed under "DDC gathered Modelines" with the rest of the info, but then is missing from "probed modes".
