X100P random hangups - Please help with suggestions
Thanks for the reply Bill. I am aware of the interrupts problem. To solve it I have already disabled my serial ports freeing up interrupts 3 and 4 and these are allocated to the two cards. This was done 2 months ago and has not solved the problem. Is there any way that something can wake up every now and then and generate these two interrupts? My current /proc/interrupts is as follows:

Hangup's not detected correctly
I have an easy question. I setup Asterisk with a TDM400 w/ 4FXO ports and I have the following problem. A call comes in correctly. The callers dials extension 100 (grandstream SIP phone). The caller then hangup, before the call goes to voice mail, however, the phone continues to ring, then goes to voicemail, and leaves an empty vmail message, long after the caller has hung up. Is there a way

calculating IRR (accounting) in R
I am trying to replace a spreadsheet model of a project justification with an R script. I can't seem to track down R functions to calculate Internal Rate of Return and NPV? Am I missing something? NPV doesn't seem so difficult to calculate (at least for a regular series) but I am struggling to identify how to solve for IRR in R. It would be sufficient if it worked for a regular

Secant Method Convergence (Method to replicate Excel XIRR/IRR)
Hi, I am new to R, and as a first exercise, I decided to try to implement an XIRR function using the secant method. I did a quick search and saw another posting that used the Bisection method but wanted to see if it was possible using the secant method. I would input a Cash Flow and Date vector as well as an initial guess. I hardcoded today's initial date so I could do checks in Excel.

False hangups with TDM400P and Kewlstart
Hello all! I have tried and tried to resolve this one to no avail. Hopefully one of you can help... The system in question is a Compaq Evo D600 (iirc) business desktop, with a 1.4GHz Pentium 4 and 512mb of RAM, running a stock install of PoundKey 1.2. It has two Digium cards installed: a TDM400P with four FXO modules, and a TE110P hooked to a Carrier Access Adit 600 which serves 8

Strange Problem with Access
I would like to pose the following problem to this mailing list to see if any of you have any suggestions you may offer. I am running samba on a RedHat 7.2 Athalon box with software RAID 0 dual IDE disks on an ext3 filesystem. I have several users in a large community of users that are always hitting the samba server. The machine has been consistently reliable with one exception. There is

false hangups
Hello, We are using a TDM400p with 4 FXOs and SIP phones in a high call-volume environment. At least twice a day there are complaints of 'dropped calls'. Examining the debug logs, I see that in each case, an "on hook" event is detected, followed by the zap channel being hung-up and * saying "BYE" to the sip phone: Jun 23 14:17:22 DEBUG[2441232]: Exception on

wctdm and two tdm cards
Greetings, I have a server I'm working on here with two tdm cards in it. 4 FXS and 4FX0. Both cards work fine on their own. The problem lies with using both in the system at once. I have verified the IRQ's are fine. I have tried switching the slots the cards reside in, no luck though. I am using ACPI but not APM. I am using gentoo latest, with vanilla 2.6(.10) kernel and udev. CVS as of

busydetect and X100P hangups
FYI to anyone else who may be experiencing random hangups; I removed the busydetect=yes lines from the conf files on my asterisk servers, and haven't had a hangup since. I had done that once before and it didn't seem to have much of an effect, so I'm not breaking out the champagne yet. But so far over dozens of calls both made and received since I took that line out, I

Random Hangups/Disconnects
Well, I thought and hoped my issue of random hangups on our TDM400P were related to busydetect=yes in zapata.conf. The behavior of a call being hungup has not changed, however, since setting the busydetect option to 'no'. Again, the only affected user is my loud talker... What are some causes/solutions to seemingly random call disconnects on Zap channels that people have seen? I have

X100P random hangups.
I have a couple of X100P's in my system and while on calls they just randomly hang up for no reason. I have tried messing with the busydetect and callprogress setting them to yes and no same and still random hangups. Is there another setting I should be looking at? My zap config looks like. context = inbound-work include => extensions signalling

busydetect and random hangups
Hi, I'm having random hangup problems with zap channels. If I turn busydetect off in Zapata.conf, * fails completely to detect a user hangup in the middle of a script. On the other hand, if I turn it on, everything works much better, but long calls tend to be hung up without a motive. Any other parameter that I can try? Any #define that I can tweak and recompile? Will callprogress

weighed mean of a data frame row-by-row
Dear list, This must be an easy one. I have a data frame like this one: test.df <- data.frame(x1=c(2,3,5), x2=c(5, 3, 4), w=c(0.8, 0.3, 0.5)) and I want to construct a weighted mean of the first two columns using the third column for weighting; i.e. y[1] = x1[1]*w[1] + x2[1]*(1-w[1]) y[2] = ... One way to do this is to use a loop like test.df$y <-numeric(3) with(test.df, for(i in

How to handle missing values for the GeneMeta package?
Hello all, It seems that the GeneMeta passage returns NA in the respective row if any gene in the data sets to be synthesised are missing. Do you know of a way to overcome this problem? I tried using the 'impute' package to fill-in the missing values, but R crashes if 'impute' and 'GeneMeta' packages are used together. I have asked a separate question for that. Thanks

Can the by() function return a single column?
I would like to de-mean the 'vector' column of the following dataframe by factor: set.seed(5444) vector <- rnorm(1:10) factor <- rep(1:2,5) test.df <- data.frame(factor, vector) which is: factor vector 1 1 -0.4963935 2 2 -2.0768182 3 1 -1.5822224 4 2 0.8025474 5 1 0.3504199 6 2 0.2358464 7 1 -0.3989443 8 2 -0.3692544 9

Problem with Hangups
Hello, I am having an issue with hangups being handled within Asterisk. Right now, when an inbound call hits the Asterisk box, Asterisk picks up the call just fine. When the caller enters an extension to call, the Asterisk dials out on Zap/3 and rings the extension with no problem. If the extension is answered, there is no problem. If the caller hang's up before the phone is answered,

Why? oh why can't I dial out?
I have been struggling with my Asterisk setup for 3 days now and I think I have done well...apart from the small detail that I cannot dial out on my phone (PSTN) line. My setup is: Suse Linux 9.0 1 fxo card connected to a BT(UK) line 1 Cisco ATA186 sip v3.0 with two analogue phones attached to it Asterix CVS-HEAD-05/30/04-06:56:31 with the UK Userid patch applied. Asterisk loads without any

Hi , I''m getting random hangups on zap channels with long calls. It seems that the hungup happens after 10 minutes or so. AbsoluteTimeout is set to 0. Any other thing I should be configuring? Thanks! PHM
