Seattle IAX Termination
Does anybody know of any commercial providers of IAX termination with DIDs in the Seattle, WA area? I believe the area codes are: 425, 206, 253 Failing any commercial providers, is there anybody in the seattle area running Asterisk with a PRI coming in who might be willing to sell me an IAX trunk with a DID in Seattle? -- ____________________________________________________________ Muiz

opencall.org is changing to soft-switch.org
Hi, Anyone using my spandsp or unicall software please note that opencall.org is shifting to soft-switch.org. HP have a line of telephony products called Opencall, which were very obscure in 1999, when I registered opencall.org. A search for "opencall" on Google back then returned only references to theatrical agents. opencall.com and opencll.net were theatrical sites. Now a search

Choppy Sound On Bridging From SIP->IAX
I am experiencing choppy sound when I bridge from a SIP peer to an IAX peer. I am running Asterisk 1.4.13 on a 2.6.22.9 kernel (Fedora). I am experiencing choppy sound from the SIP peer to the IAX peer but not vice-versa. I know that this is not a bandwidth issue because I don't have choppy sound (with the same codec) when bridging IAX->IAX peers or SIP->SIP peers. My timing source is

SLA and Flashing BLF
I understand that the Asterisk SLA implementation is somewhat different from most key systems and PBX systems. I also understand that in Asterisk, one does not put an SLA line on hold since it is just a MeetMe conference. However, is there any way to make the BLF flash when the answering party on the Asterisk system presses the hold key on their set and leaves the calling party alone in the

Windows Update and DMZ
I am running a LEAF Bering firewall with a DMZ at one of my client''s sites. The client has a Windows IIS server set up in the DMZ. The DMZ rules block all outgoing connections on all ports. The client wants to be able to run Windows Update on the server, which uses ports 80 and 443. However, opening all port 80 and 443 connections from the server to the net zone is not an option,

Disconnection From IAXTel
I am using IAX soft clients (firefly, IAXComm, IAXPhone) from a Win2K machine on a NATed private LAN to connect to my IAXTel account. All of my calls to outside numbers(1-800, 1-877, etc) seem to be disconnected after 9 seconds. Has this limit been placed on IAXTel? My call to the echo test number at 1-700-999-9613 seemed to run for as long as I wanted. --

Voicetronix FXO on OpenCall 4 vs OpenSwich 6
In my search for a better analog FXO interface, I'm looking into the Voicetronix cards. Can someone let me know if they've been using the OpenSwitch cards with Asterisk? Also, can anybody comment on the differences in FXO performance between the OpenCall and OpenSwitch cards? Thanks in advance, Paul -- Paul A. Dugas Dugas Enterprises, LLC email:

A software FAX modem
Hi all, I would like to announce the availability of an initial test version of a totally software FAX facility, suitable for use with Asterisk. This is a first public test release, so don't expect a solid polished product just yet. People have shown interest in what I am doing, and here is the evidence that it is not vapourware. If the notion of a software FAX machine is new to you,

Softfax/spandsp
Hi all, After a long time having no time, I have finally done some fresh work on my software fax machine. I have replaced the original carrier tracking with something more robust. I have also added 4800, and 2400 bits per second modes, and cleaned up a few bugs in areas like superfine mode operation. I apologise for this update taking so long. At ftp://ftp.opencall.org/pub/spandsp you will

TE410P / Eicon PRI
for today we only have experience with BRI applications together with asterisk. is the following scenario possible and stable enough for production? FYI : We want to build a unified messaging application integrated with SIP. We have an E1 connection in Belgium with 100 msn's We would think about having 2 servers : Server A : Asterisk PRI card (Digium TE410P) Server B : Fax

spandsp 0.0.2
Hi all, There is a test version for the next release of spandsp at ftp://ftp.opencall.org/pub/spandsp/spandsp-0.0.2pre2 Only use this if you wish to experiment. In general, using spandsp-0.0.1 is probably more stable right now. If you have had problems with Canon FAX machines not accepting FAXes from spandsp-0.0.1 you might like to try this version. I have had at least one report from

Problem receiving a fax with RxFAX
Hey All, I've been trying to get SpanDSP / RxFAX to work in order to set up a soft-fax machine on my asterisk system. I have asterisk CVS-04/08/04-10:06:15 and spandsp 0.0.1. This is on a Fedora Core 1 with 2.4.26 kernel. I have tried to look for a newer version of the spandsp stuff, but opencall.org does not seem to exist in DNS any more. (If it's moved location, can someone please

Spandsp loading via asterisk app_rxfax.c broken pipe.
I have compiled Spandsp without any problems. I got no errors I have also done the patch without getting any error. I have tried pre4 and pre6 version with same problem. I got no errors with the ./configure make make install. After I add the directory for /var/local/lib into the /etc/ld.so.conf I have ran ldconfig. I am running asterisk as user asterisk on a RH 9 Linux distro. This system has

Softfax/spandsp Makefile.patch rxfax/txfax
I followed the instructions at http://www.opencall.org/instructions.html and http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2003-October/025094.html I was able to compile spandsp (./configure ; make ; make install), "manually" patched asterisk apps/Makefile (/usr/src/asterisk/apps), as the supplied patch does not fit the actual CVS apps/Makefile After make clean ; make install, I

MFC/R2
Hi all, I have begun the release of my MFC/R2 protocol software. At http://www.opencall.org/installing-mfcr2.html there are instructions for installing what I have released so far. This is the MFC/R2 protocol software, and a test program. The software to interface Asterisk to the MFC/R2 code will be released shortly. It used to work, but it hasn't been touched for a while, and Asterisk
