Has anyone tried using a Sipura-3000 as an FXO device for *?
I am considering using Sipura-3000s as FXO devices for my * system. Has anyone tried them in that configuration? They interest me because they need no PCI slots and therefore no drivers. I would much prefer not to have any special kernel requirements for my system. /carmi

Sipura SPA-3000 vs Linksys SPA3000
Hallo! I had ordered a Sipura SPA-3000 in the UK, but the supplier turned out to be unreliable and never shipped. Yesterday I went looking for alternative suppliers and found the Linksys SPA3000 device. It's a different box, but the specs look very similar. Is this the same device? Has anyone used this Linksys SPA3000 successfully with Asterisk? Thanks, Frank

Sipura 3000 PSTN disconnect in the UK
Anyone else got a Sipura 3000 in the UK? Apart from CID not working it also seems to not notice any of the line state changes on the PSTN when the remote party terminates the call. It only recognises the offhook signal which gets sent much later. Chris

Sipura-3000 - silent dial out on FXO port
I am trying to configure the FXO port on a Sipura-3000 for use with Asterisk. When I connect to the Sipura to dial out on the PSTN line connected to the Sipura's FXO port, it gives me the dialtone of the PSTN line and then I can hear the DTMF for the number I dialled beforehand. It does work but the customer perceives this delayed second DTMF feedback as "unprofessional" and the

Sipura phone does not ring
Problem: SPA3000 phone does not ring for incoming PSTN call although I can dial out. I set up my Sipura with the Voxilla Wizard which is pretty good but leaves out some important details. The Voxilla Wizard for Supura SPA3000 gave me a setting for PSTN Tab -> Dial Plans -> Dial Plan 8 (<S0:66610>) Should I put extension [66610] in sip.conf with a context in extensions.conf that

false busy using sipura spa-3000 with asterisk on solaris
I'm new to asterisk and already a fan. Please forgive me if my questions are covered by some FAQ and thanks in advance for any pointers anyone can give me. The basic problem that I'm having is that sometimes outgoing calls result in a busy signal when the outgoing line is free. I'm thinking that the channel is timing out or something but haven't figured out how to debug or gather

SIP Transfers (Possibly reinvite)
Hey Folks, Is it possible to transfer an incoming call back out without a "trombone" effect. For instance; Caller dials my broadvoice # --> Asterisk Answers and plays a menu --> the caller selects an option --> asterisk transfers the call to my cell phone via broadvoice and removes itself from the equation so I end up with... Caller --> Broadvoice --> Cell Phone Vs.

spa 3000/2100 noise
I've a problem. I've some spa3000 and spa2100. Asterisk 1.2.4. Prefered codec g711u in both. Calleng from a fxs of spa2100 to the fxo of spa3000, all works ok. Then I call from a sip phone configured for using g729, to the fxo of spa3000, it also works ok. The problem is that after this, when, making again a new call from spa2100 to spa3000, spa2100 receives only white noise. I suspect a

echo with spa-3000
More an echo algorithm question than a purely asterisk one... I have the following setup: Handset - PAP2 - Asterisk - SPA3000 - Telco And no matter what I do, I get echo on a call routed out via the PSTN when I talk into the handset, in the order of a hundred ms (my estimate, could be wildly inaccurate!). Echo will occur also when I have a handset plugged into the phone port on the SPA3000

Sipura Devices and Asterisk?
I'm currently using the Linksys PAP2, and since there's a shortage I'm looking for different devices. I'm mainly looking at the Sipura SPA sets since they are the base of the pap2. Anyone else have experience using them, and which one? Thanks Sherwood McGowan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

spa-3000 review?
Since the 3000 has been out for a little while, has anyone done a review of the product? (couldn't find anything on google for wiki). Can the fxo and fxs ports be used as two independent channels? Is it really read for prime time? Etc. Rich

SPA-3000 as FXO Gateway for * (Was: Qs aboutFXO/FXS cards)
Voxilla.com has a great config wizard for the SPA-3000 and * http://voxilla.com/spa3kasterisk.php I took the output from this wizard and dumped it on my test box with an SPA 3000 (with some mods to match my * contexts) and everything worked great. Calls from the PSTN to the spa3000 are routed to dialplan #8 on the spa3000, which dials * Both the FXO and FXS port register with * The SPA3000 is

Sipura SPA 3000 logic
Hi all, I was wondering whether anybody here would help me clarify this minor issue please. If I have the following setup; Asterisk ------ Sipura SPA 3000 (fxo) --------- Pstn Line Would a call coming in on the pstn line be answered by the ATA or just get passed through to the * server (depending on dialplan) to handle? So basically, the caller does

How does Sipura route incoming calls?
I have a working Asterisk 1.2 and Sipura SPA3000 combo but I would like to have more control over incoming PSTN calls to the Sipura. Right now such calls come in over the fxo port (sipurafxo1 on the PSTN tab) and are routed by dial plan 8 to the fxs port (sipurafxs1 Line 1 tab) I'm not even sure if the calls are getting to the fxs port and they sure are not going to the specified context.

RE: SPA 3000 - UK Replacement
First off I am totally annoyed and let down by PC World Business (PCWB part of the Dixons Group). I ordered one of these babies from them over a month ago. After constantly chasing them up they finally told me they couldn't deliver, and have now only just returned the money they "stole" from me. I only bought from them because they showed a 4-day availability stock level! Now

SIP client to IAXTel 800/888/877/866 dialing thru Asterisk
Through my Asterisk server, I am trying to use IAXTel to dial 800-type numbers (yes, I know I can do the same thing with FWD and others via SIP, but I wanted to play with IAX a little). It appears I'm running into some sort of a codec mismatch or something because it's not working right. The SIP client is a SPA-3000. In iax.conf, I have something like the following: [General]

SPA-3000 Bug? Dropped calls while registering.
Hello All! I am in the process of assembling an asterisk-based phone system for my office - using SPA-3000s to connect the network to the PSTN. I am wondering if anybody else can get (or has already seen) the same behaviour out of their 3000. The short version: Send multiple Calls to the SPA's FXO port at the same time it is re-registering with Asterisk. SPA HTTP Configuration:
