mod_bandwidth
Is there a compiled mod_bandwidth rpm in CentOS or EPEL?
I can't seem to find it, what name does it use if there is one?
Basically all I need to do is find a way to severely throttle apache for
testing an upload progress bar - my bandwidth on my lan is too fast, the
progress bar either only gets one update or none by the time the files
are uploaded (5 8 megapixel jpegs) - even when I use

CPAN module install problem
I could use some assistance getting CPAN functional again. CPAN stopped
working on Centos 4.2 x64, and I can no longer install modules. I did a
install Bundle::CPAN and upgraded to 1.8.2, and perl was updated
afterwards via yum update. The error seems related to GPG, does anyone
know if 1.8.2 added new restrictions on signatures?

tripwire support
Me again...
I looked for tripwire rpms and came up blank on your mirrors. I was
able to find them at a rpmfind site (for both el3 and el4), but it would
be nice to have it included in the extras area. Any chance of this
happening anytime soon?
Thanks in advance

Tripwire Question
I'm trying to run tripwire on a RHEL 5.4 box. I'm new to it.
I'm getting errors:
The object: "/ora" is on a different file system...ignoring.
For one thing, it's not a different file system. It's not any different than the root partition, that tripwire will monitor. And I want tripwire to monitor it.
I've been googling around, and have seen this error in

Tripwire for CentOS
Hi,
I literally have about 36 machines running CentOS on a private network,
and will probably change the remaining 30 or so away from Whitebox or RH
in the near term.
One thing I just noticed was when I tried to search out Tripwire RPM's,
that none seemed evident.
Can anyone point me in the direction of an Tripwire RPM that works with
CentOS 4.3, or advise me on how to create one from the

TinyCA2 on rpmforge EL4 but not EL5
I want to install TinyCA2 on my Centos5 setup.
I had a real learning experience the last time around (last year, July)
and in the end, I got the repo down from Dag's site and was cool.
Now I am on Centos 5 and no TinyCA2.
Can I just download the EL4 rpm from:
http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el4/en/i386/dag/repodata/repoview/tinyca2-0-0.7.5-2.el4.rf.html
and do a yum localinstall ?
Or do I have

tripwire alternative
Hello all,
Years ago, I used to work with tripwire for system monitoring.
Last time I checked with "yum search tripwire", there is no hit.
IIRC, it used to be packed by default on older Redhat distros.
Any suggestion for an alternative of tripwire for my CentOS 5.6?
Cheers,

Is there a redhat or contrib RPM for tripwire?
I looked and didn't find one, but may not have been looking in the
right place.

Packages
I am in need of the udunits and udunits-devel packages. I know I
remember seeing the udunits package on the CD's but don't recall seeing
the udunits-devel. Looking at the rpm-pbone.net, I only found versions
avilable for FC. Would it break a bunch of stuff to install both
packages on a 4.1-i386 system ? Also looked via yum, at Dag's
repository, and mirrors, but nothing shows

Tripwire and cron
I am trying to get tripwire 1.2 patch level 2 on Redhat 6.2 to run out
of cron and so far have failed miserably.
It runs fine from the command line so I know my configuration is ok, but
when it runs from cron it gets to Phase 3 and simply exits. It doesn''t
generate any error messages or leave any core files laying around.

mtree vs tripwire
Hi all.
This might seem really naive, but can mtree be used effectively as
a native-to-core-OS tripwire equivalent? Would it be as efficient in
terms of time-to-run and resource requirements?
What sort of pitfalls should I be aware of?
Has anyone here done this? If so, would you care to share your
scripts/techniques?
Thanks,
Dave

tripwire port broken?
Dear list!
I've tried to compile
tripwire-2.3.1-2 port on
my 5.2 release. Two diffe-

Well! Makefile has so-
mething like:

.endif
One more:
USE_GMAKE= yes
Has someone compiled
it successfully? Is it

tripwire / .xauth$$$$ problem on Centos5
Dear All,
I'm using Centos5 to run a firewall, and as part of the intrusion detection
apparatus, I use tripwire (tripwire-2.4.1.1-1.fc6.x86_64.rpm - as made for
fedora core 6, and then tweaked with my own twpol.txt).
My problem, is that when I su to root, a .xauth file is created with a random
tail name - i.e. /root/.xauthyN4aHS or /root/.xauth1sGdFh and this causes
tripwire to
