Van Dyke's Public Key Assistant
Jeff Van Dyke's "Public Key Assistant subsystem" was previously discussed here: (end of a short thread) http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=openssh-unix-dev&m=103436908422003&w=2 I do see a few comments that seem to point out his arrogance and some disgust about OpenBSD's RCSID, but has anybody found it to be unsecure or if it was bug ridden. The subject sorta dies right

Concept for line appearances and bridging: anyone?
OK, here's a configuration challenge: I want to have certain line appearances able to be "interrupted" by various other line apperances elsewhere in the office. This is harder to describe than it is to demonstrate, so I'll do that: Let's assume I have Cisco 7960's on all desks. 1) Call comes from inbound line X destined on extension 1234 2) Phones A, B, C all

Converting SAS Code
I will offer an opinion, with which others may fairly take issue. If you are coming from SAS and wish to learn R, you should forget about SAS entirely; it is ancient and convoluted. But more to the point, as others have already suggested, you will only confuse and hamstring yourself trying to convert the programming paradigms of one language into another. Better to consider the **tasks** you wish

Converting SAS Code
Regarding point 3, as a moderator I have been helping Andrew get this post out to the list over the past week. His previous attempts were encoded in some way that the listserv rejected. He sent me the post via his gmail account and viewing the source I saw it had at least both plain test and HTML an I said it was worth a try to post it. Certainly on my mail client his post displays acceptably

Sending Emails via Cron
I''m developing an application using RoR that will generate enough email notifications that I don''t want them in the actual web application. So, I''m thinking about having an outgoing queue that a cron job would pick up and deliver. My question is if this is possible with a ruby script that uses ActiveRecord and ActiveMailer?

Need recommendation for SIP hard phones
Hi List: The main concern I have is that multiple accounts of the Asterisk servers could be configured in the phone, any one server of group of registered servers (2-3) down, the phone still works with existing registered servers, or the sip phones automatically register to next server referencing the account settings when current registered Asterisk server is down. Does anybody know some

Message Indicator Light
I have a quick question... In the previous thread http://www.marko.net/asterisk/archives/0210/0306.html it is mentioned Mark added support for MWI to the chan_zap. Is this in the zapata.conf and if so, if stutter is turned on then the MWI is turned on with it? Geoff
