Send flash through zap channel
Hi everyone,
our setup includes a NEC PBX connected to our asterisk via bri lines.
The NEC has a doorphone feature, which is just an extension that calls you when someone rings. When connected to this extensions, a 'flash' signalling opens the door.
So now, i'd like to trigger this from asterisk, too, but unfortunately wasn't able to do so.

There are big differences. As I know of no other PBX that uses 'consumer' hardware, asterisk is also struggling with problems in the underlying Hardware. And

IAX2 Softphone
For all the peoples that wanted to test my windows IAX2 phone, I've
put it up on a server where it can be downloaded.
For the ones that wanted the DLL, it's available on the same page.
For the DLL, I will post a list of the functions in it and the
parameters it expect as soon as I have some free time.
All comments (good or bad) are welcome
The phone can be used mostly with the keyboard

ISDN X-Over
Hi all,
I have just been reading an article on the asterisk-doc site about ISDN
X-Over cables.
The article mentioned the converting of an NT1 to make this possible, has
anybody got the information required to modify a BT NT1?
Or any information on the BT NT1.
Thanks in advance.

SMS - how to send one
I've read quite a bit in the older mailing list posts and the wiki but
I'm missing some simple point.
1) What is required to send an SMS to a mobile outside the office given:
Channel: ZAP/1
send it to $SMS_RECIPIENT (which includes the final "extra" digit)
via
$SMS_CENTER=the national message center server for sending messages
$MESSAGE= the message text
How is the .call file

spandsp on FC3
I've got spanDSP and Asterisk Stable using an X100p running on Fedora Core 3
but there is a curious phenomenon when I receive faxes. If I start Asterisk
from the command line (usually, asterisk -c or asterisk -vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvcp )
I can receive faxes and mailtofax sends them to me OK. If I start the
asterisk service (service asterisk start) that uses safe_asterisk, faxes
appear to be

SFTP support for subsecond times
using "synchronized" subsecond timestamps imho only makes sense with synchronized time (ntp) through that ssh tunnel, too.
and with this assumption a "full VPN ssh usage" instead of "only filesystem timestamps" [maybe trying with target systems without subsecond timestamps?] seems impractical to me. or at least "...

just softphone
Hi,
I'm trying to start with Asterisk, but I could not put 2 softphones to talk.
The asterisk server rejects the connections always when I dial.
May 17 07:49:22 NOTICE[1924]: Rejected connect attempt from 192.168.0.106
What is necessary to put it to work?
There is no need to configure external lines.

Integrating with existing analog PBX
Hi.
Am new to this concept but have been requested to add VOIP capability to a
small office phone system.
They currently have 4 standard analog lines running into a PBX feeding 16
phones, with all the usual features,
call transfer
call hold
internal calls
etc.
would the following seem reasonable ?
asterisk server:- ( what specs )

Integrating an old PBX with Asterisk
Hi all,
I was thinking about integrating an old PBX with Asterisk and I was
wondering some possible configurations. The question is: which is the best
way to let the 2 systems interact ? I can imagine some possible scenarios:
- scenario 1: I want to use other then old PBX terminations (ie I have to
link the 2 systems with some internal number line)
In this scenario I could think to give each user

Integrating with existing 1BRI, 6 POTS Panasonic PBX ?
Hi,
at the university department we have quite old Panasonic 2+6 PBX (1BRI + 6
POTS for outputs) and 25 local analog extensions. We would like to add
Asterisk with 1 fresh BRI line and possibly integrate with existing
equipment (we would like to crossover between both pbxses).
What would be most efficient way to do this ?
Thanks in advance,
regards,
Rob.

Integrating Asterisk into our Legacy PBX <--Newb
I have been successful in setting up asterisk and making workstation to
workstation SIP calls. But I am lost when it comes to anything past that.
We are trying to integrate this asterisk server into with our Executone
(432?) PBX to allow us to make outbound SIP calls between our disparate
locations.
We have a T1 card in our PBX, and the Digium TE110P card in the Asterisk. We
have the T1 card

zaphfc sound problems
hi list.
after my unsuccessfull experiences with mISDN i tried again to implement
a zaphfc based solution.
problem is: sound on calls via capi is stuttering/broken and therefore
unuseable.
my conf:
- cel 1300, 256mb ram
- avm b1 via capi connected to my outgoing ISDN
- acer surf pci via zaphafc and crosslink cable with termination as
internal bus
- siemens gigaset 3035 as internal phone

integrating with existing PBX
I'm looking for a way to give VoIP capabilities to an existing PBX: it's
made by Mitel and it's used in a small/medium environment (a few dozen
phones, but the PBX has capabilities for up to 200, if i remember
correctly).
Any high-level guidelines on how to integrate Asterisk with a PBX that's
already in use? Probably that particular PBX is not supported directly,
but are there

Problem with integrating ISDN PBX using NT mode
Hi,
I'm just in the process of replacing a crappy Siemens PBX with a new and
shiny Asterisk system. To connect Legacy equipment I hooked up a small
ISDN PBX (DeTeWe OpenCom 36) to one port on a Junghanns.net quadBRI
card. That port is configured for NT Point to Multipoint
(Mehrgeraeteanschluss) mode. Now I can place calls from the ISDN PBX to
the other Asterisk extensions but the other way

[LLVMdev] optimization whith call of Intrinsics
Dear LLVMer ;
i'm trying to use LLVM for a specific target, using different memory banks.
I have written the frontend to generate a valid IR and want to use the
existing passes (as defined in tool opt) to optimize the code.
The target has specific instructions, so following advices given in
documentation, I created an intrinsic function, with attribute
[IntrReadArgMem].
My test case is

What quad/octo BRI cards are best/stable for EuroISDN and Asterisk ?
Hi,
I'm currently deciding on what card to pruchase for octo/quad BRI card to
use with Asterisk on EuroISDN lines.
I'm aware of at least two options (Junghanns or Beronet), but don't know how
stable and well supported they are. Which ones are better supported ? Any
experiences? Any advice ? How tos ?
What would you buy ?
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Rob.
