Hi everybody, I will receive my CISCO 7960G tomorrow. I've ordered it as a "global spare" without any callmanager licence. Now I don't know if I can get firmware-updates so could please someone send me the SIP-firmware? Is the default firmware the "skinny" one? Wich would be better to use with asterisk? Odd problem here--I just got a couple of Cisco 7960s from Ebay that are not functioning as expected...... These 7960s can't seem to be unlocked for manual configuration via any mechanism that I can find. If you go to settings, there is no option 9 (unlock). Available options stop at 4 (Status). **# has no effect. The Phones report that thier current firmware version is 3.1 MF.G2.

Hi, I have bought two Cisco 7960 phones. I have tried to set-up them to work with Asterisk over Skinny protocol, but when I try to dial the phone from Asterisk it says that all lines are busy. I'm using P0S3-08-2-00.. I noticed the callerID started showing up with the number, then @<proxy-addr>... So the callerID on the phone looks like: 2145551212@10.10.10.10 which of course is logged in the missed calls exactly like that, and completely foobars the dialing string if you try to dial a missed call by simply hitting the dial button.
