Outgoing call answer confirmation
Using Digium's "Asterisk Developer's Kit (TDM)", I've been trying to make an outside call by copying sample.call to /var/spool/asterisk/outgoing. I want the VoiceMailMain to run when the call is answered. The call is made correctly but, as you probably know, the application starts as soon as the call is made. I see there are two solutions: Using callprogress=yes in

Using Call Progress
I'm attempting to use callprogress in my system, and I'm having trouble. Callprogress always can tell if the line is busy or ringing, but when the line is answered, the call does not get bridged. Messages showing that "line is ringing" stop in the console and if the called party hangs up, asterisk reports the line is busy. Are there any settings that I could use to help with

Call Progress Analysis
Hi to all, I'm using a TDM22B. When i establish an external call to the PSTN through an FXO port, I'm not able to know the status of the call (no answer, busy, ...). If I enable call progress (callprogress=yes) in Zapata.conf, I am able to detect the no answer state but if the callee on the PSTN answers the call asterisk doesn't detect that and it jumps to the NOANSWER state and

analog call progress - can I use backgrounddetect
Hi, There seems to be no solution for call progress on analog lines and using outgoing spool call files . My wave file starts playing before the person has answered the phone so the first part of the message is missed. Can the backgrounddetect app be used for this. I have tried but the message still plays before I answer. I generated 60 seconds wave file. [callprogress] exten =>

TDM11B Hang up detection not working in France ?
Hello, my config : aah 2.6 (asterisk 1.2.4) , centos 4.2, 1 TDM11B (1 Fxo / 1 fxs ), 1 phone, 1 softphone I'm in France When someone from PSTN calls and hangs up before the call is answered, internal extension keeps ringing until timeout occurs. PSTN line keeps busy. Hangup detection doesn't work. I've played with different paremeters (callprogress, busydetect, busycount,

analog call progress - simplified I hope
Asterisk gurus, To have analog call progress (which as far as I know asterisk does not have right now) does it not come down to 4 states to detect - and I hope that some asterisk gurus can implement those 4 states easily. I see this as 4 states: Busy - a 50% duty cycle Ringing - a % on duty and MORE of a bigger % off duty cycle - or basically not BUSY and not TALK detect Talk - something

Sangoma A200 hangup detection
Hi, Does some one experience the Sangoma A20X-ec series card that cant detect the hangup tone? I got * server 1.2.5 and running on Centos 4.3, I hock up to two PSTN lines and each time some one call in and my phone delay 1-2 sec (this is Asterisk delay nothing to do with Sangoma) and it rings on my phone, however, end on the day I got not less that 10 empty messages. Outgoing FXO calls have no audio with callprogress=no
My outgoing FXO calls are answered but have no audio in either direction if I have callprogress=no in chan_dahdi.conf. If I change to callprogress=yes then the audio returns. My chan_dahdi.conf file is listed below. Can anyone point-out why callprogress=no isn't working? #cat /tmp/a [trunkgroups] [channels] language=en context=incoming toneduration=40 ;usedistinctiveringdetection=yes

hangup detection
So I made the mistake of buying a Carrier Access channel bank without noticing the page on the wiki about the fact that they don't support disconnect supervision (bastards!). However, apart from that, I do have it working fine for incoming calls. Is there some trick to get asterisk to detect the hangup tones from SBC? I've tried busydetect and callprogress as suggested, but neither

x100P: Ring/off-hook in strange state 6 on channel1
All of a sudden I am getting the following warning "Ring/off-hook in strange state 6 on channel1" from chan_zap.c and I cannot answer calls. I can place calls out without a problem though. Any ideas what can be the problem. I have checked zapata.conf and zaptel.conf and they both seem fine. Thanks in advance. Dan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

X100P random hangups.
I have a couple of X100P's in my system and while on calls they just randomly hang up for no reason. I have tried messing with the busydetect and callprogress setting them to yes and no same and still random hangups. Is there another setting I should be looking at? My zap config looks like. context = inbound-work include => extensions signalling

Problems with Call Progress and fax detection on PRI
Hello, I have been running some tests to get a better understanding of PRIs and the HANGUPCAUSE variable and I'm not having any luck. I have tried calling disconnected numbers and the call is connected through to my extension and I hear the tri-tones. And it looks like HANGUPCAUSE is always 16 (AST_CAUSE_NORMAL_CLEARING). Am I doing something wrong, or am I just misunderstanding? Also,

how to distinguish the "ringing" and "connected" for zap channel
I have a TDM card in a asterisk machine. I found that once I used it to call out, the call status changed to "connected" even the callee is still ring. How could asterisk distinguish the "ringing" and "connected" in zap channel? thanks.

Comdial PBX -- can use Asterisk as VM box?
Hi! I've got a Comdial PBX that I would dearly love to replace with an Asterisk box. However, for various reasons, it appears not to be in the cards. Regardless of what management does, or does not, want, our current VM solution -- some Dialogic card with a "KeyVoice" application -- is dying. I'm 90% sure it's hardware. I'd rather shoot myself than replace the

callprogress option
>From what I've been reading about the callprogress option, it seems like it will work properly only with a T1 or PRI in the US. Is that correct or are there still issues with call progress detection even if those qualifications are met? Thanks, Shaun Tierney

TDM4000P with 4 FXO's not picking up ringing lines
Ive just installed a TDM4000P with 4 fxos. The zaptel config is fine, zttest comes back with configured. If i call a line when zttest it shows on the display, and then goes when the line drops. In * when a call comes in, it follows my dialplan and answers the call according to the log, but IT DOESN'T actually pick up the call, i.e. it continues ringing. I'm using KS signalling, and

Openloop disconnect?
Hello there, I tried to found documentation about openloop disconnect on Asterisk/Zaptel. And up to now, I didn't find anything. Is openloop disconnect supported by zaptel/wcfxo drivers? Other question: maxsilence and silencethreshold don't seem to have any effect on voicemail. Could it be possible that in certain situation it just wont work? I tried adding some verbose in

Hangup detection with TDM400 in UK
When a caller hangs up (e.g. after leaving a voicemail), my British Telecom exchange sends a continuous tone for about 15s and then silence. I can't get asterisk to recognise this tone as a hangup indication. I have tried indications.conf with both country=uk and country=us. My zapata.conf has busydetect=yes, callprogress=yes and I've tried setting busycount from 1 through 7 I am using
