Asterisk 1.0.2 - Unable to allocate channel structure
Hi,
This morning I had some failed calls. On the console (and in the log)
I saw the error "Unable to allocate channel structure". Before I restarted
the process, I checked it's memory usage in ps and glanced at my free
memory in top. Asterisk was using a normal ammount of memory, about
40M. I don't think this was a system limit. This was running Asterisk
v1.0.2. Below is

at my remote location, however, and I can't make calls that used to work find. I
get the following messages. I get a brief bit of good sound and about the time I

machine seems to be stalling, but I have noload on both oss

odd behavior - adtran ta 850 + t100p
I've been working with an adtran ta 850 hooked to a t100p pretty much all
day today, and I haven't gotten past configuring zaptel.conf and
zapata.conf. For some reason, when I pick up analog phone hooked up to
the first module of a quad fxs card in the second slot of the ta 850,
asterisk thinks that all four of the fxs modules in that card are going
off hook. If I pick up a phone hooked

ATA FXO
I'm looking for a reliable ATA FXO/FXS adapter.
Linksys 3102 - a lot of echo problem + two of them died within a year (not reliable)
Sangoma USBFXO - problem installing drive in Gentoo.
I've tried two Chines units: AG-188N and YGW30B
none are of them have real FXO port that will register with Asterisk.
Any other recommendations; (I don't like internal cards).

user password hash
Rowland,
Can you test this:
echo -n $(ldbsearch -H /var/lib/samba/private/sam.ldb -b 'dc=CHANGE_BASE' -s sub '(&(objectclass=user)(samaccountname=CHANGE_USERNAME))' unicodePwd |grep unicode |awk '{ print $NF }') | base64 -d -w 0 | iconv -t UTF-8 -f UTF-16LE
The results are chinees characters.
But if i put it in the example you showed, it shows the correct things.

[Bridge] recent crashes? Linux kernel 2.6.18-1.2239.fc5 (Linux Fedora Core 5)
At the risk of angering the crash Gods, my sustem has NOT crashed again
since I downgraded the kernel from 2.6.18-1.2239.fc5 to 2.6.18-1.2200.fc5.
Given that newfound stability, and my lack of time, I'm going to put on
hold any further diagnostics, until the next kernel revision is released.
I have submitted a report at bugzilla.redhat.com (bug 218128). (Ah, nuts;

Strange file permissions
Hi
I have a samba server with tdbsam passwords, and a share, PROJECTS,
which is accessed by various XP home clients, the usenames and passwords
being manually synced to the samba ones (less than 10 users, and only 4
workstations). There is one win2K machine, which is a domain member.
Subdirectories on PROJECTS have g+s set, so only users,
who are members of specific Linux groups, have access to

biocep project (R for the Web and the Virtual R Workbench)
Dear all,
I have been writing during last year at the European Bioinformatics
Institute a general unified open source solution for R integration. This
work is now available via this link:

The different frameworks and tools of the biocep project are now robust
enough for production use. The different APIs are finalized but the
documentation is

Fallback on a fallback
I have two sites running Asterisk PBX. Normally the inbound calls go
through a 3rd (colocated) server and are routed via IAX to the site
(the site registers with the main server)
I created a macro that tries to ring one location and then another.
Each site explicitly Answer() the call even though it will only ring
all the sip phones at the relevant location. When fall back is in
effect it goes to

Public R servers?
Hello,
Earlier I posted a question about memory usage, and the community's input was very helpful. However, I'm now extending my dataset (which I use when running a regression using lm). As a result, I am continuing to run into problems with memory usage, and I believe I need to shift to implementing the analysis on a different system..
I know that R supports R servers through

-n vs batch_mode vs batch_flag
How is -n supposed to work? When you say ssh -n, it sets stdin_null_flag
but not batch mode. When the client is choosing authmethods, there is a
batch_flag that is tested to see (presumably) if we are in batch mode or
perhaps if -n has been given. But nothing sets it. It looks like it's
supposed to point to options.batch_mode, but it's never even initialized!
Even if it did point to
