spouse-friendly spa-3000 pstn interface
This post is simply documenting a spouse-friendly way of using the
spa-3000 as both a fxs and fxo port for basic soho environments in
the US, allowing asterisk to participate as needed/wanted.
All home phones are connected _only_ to the spa-3000 fxs port.
The incoming home pstn line is connected _only_ to the spa-3000
fxo port.
Defined Line 1 (fxs) to register with asterisk via sip (extn

Has anyone tried using a Sipura-3000 as an FXO device for *?
I am considering using Sipura-3000s as FXO devices for my * system. Has
anyone tried them in that configuration? They interest me because they
need no PCI slots and therefore no drivers. I would much prefer not to
have any special kernel requirements for my system.

SIP client to IAXTel 800/888/877/866 dialing thru Asterisk
Through my Asterisk server, I am trying to use IAXTel to dial 800-type
numbers (yes, I know I can do the same thing with FWD and others via
SIP, but I wanted to play with IAX a little). It appears I'm running
into some sort of a codec mismatch or something because it's not working
right. The SIP client is a SPA-3000.
In iax.conf, I have something like the following:

SPA-3000 as a regular Asterisk FXO device?
My SPA-3000 finally arrived and I'm trying to get the FXO port on it to
work as if it was a X100P card as far as Asterisk is concerned.
I have Asterisk dialing out over the SPA-3000 FXO port no problem.
The issue I'm having problems with is having the SPA-3000 automatically
forward all incoming PSTN calls to the Asterisk "mainmenu" context (or
ext I guess).

Sipura SP3000 question
Hi, all
I finally got myself one of those SIPURA boxes. It is labeled as Linksys,
but this is actually a SP3000 box.
Anyway, unit has lots of configuration parameters. Not all are obvious.
At the moment it registers against my *, but all the calls I do from analog
phone connected to it, go to VoIP channel. As this part is still in testing,
I want all the outgoing calls got to PSTN by default

Blind Call Transfer using Sipura 3000 + asterisk
Hi List,
I hope this setup must be done by our astersik users..
I am using Sipura 3000 to receive PSTN calls and forward those calls to
asterisk for voice processing and after that, I am transferring call to
extension through FXS port on SPA 3000.
Currently, media of call is trombone through asterisk. i.e achieving blind
transfers on asterisk with SPA 3000.
Is it possible to stop trombone

Sipura 3000 PSTN disconnect in the UK
Anyone else got a Sipura 3000 in the UK? Apart from CID not working it also
seems to not notice any of the line state changes on the PSTN when the
remote party terminates the call. It only recognises the offhook signal
which gets sent much later.

SPA3000 as a replacement for X100P
I am still haveing problems (echo) with my X100P but I'm thinking it has
more to do with the server it is in which is not a negotiable item at
this time. My question then is to the use of SPA3000's as a replacement
from the FXO standpoint.
1. Can you setup the FXO port to recognize distinctinve ring and call a
different context like you can do with Zap channels? Being able to call

Can somebody email me the Sipura SPA-2000 and SPA-3000 documentation?
I heard Sipura had really awesome documentation on the SPA-2000 and
SPA-3000, but you have to email them for it. When I did, they said I had to
get it from a reseller. It's been a while since I bought my units, I don't
even remember where or who they were bought from. Can somebody email me the
documentation for these devices? I'm quite interested in knowing what every

SPA-3000 call pickup behind a PABX
Hi Folks,
I am running a SPA-3000 behind a legacy PABX on an analog line.
I have been able to set up a dial plan that sends outgoing calls out
to the appropriate VSP depending on prefix, and that part and the
incoming call handling works fine.
I am now trying to implement call pickup (dial 6*) or manual call
forwarding (flash, dial extension).
On the first of these I have worked out how to get

Problem with Asterisk and SPA-3000
Hello everybody,
I have a very strange issue with a Linksys SPA-3000 (1 fxo + 1 fxs) used
as PSTN gateway to asterisk in a small office. Everything works just
fine, except that sometimes, and it seems that only for long incoming
calls, the IVR menu appears on the middle of the call(like a three way
call, call goes on with prompts playing over the parties). Dialing an
extension at the prompt at

Remotely rebooting Sipura SPA-3000 from command line
Hi all,
Anyone able to remotely reboot their password protected Sipura

# wget http://admin:mypassword@192.168.1.55/admin/reboot
The strange thing is it works fine when I go to
http://admin:mypassword@192.168.1.55/admin/reboot with my web

911 & SoftHangup on SPA-3000
Hi,
I have a SPA-3000 and would like to use the 911 recipe from
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+tips+911. So I took the simple
recipe and modified it slightly:
exten => 911,1,ChanIsAvail(SIP/potsoutbound)
exten => 911,2,Dial(SIP/potsoutbound/911)
exten => 911,3,Hangup()
exten => 911,102,SoftHangup(SIP/potsoutbound)
exten => 911,103,Wait(1)
exten => 911,104,Goto(1)

Sipura SPA-3000 and PSTN dtmf
Greetings,
What is the recommended settings for using SPA-3000's FXO port for
dialing out to PSTN in regard of the DTMF?
The voip lan contains SPA-2100 and SPA-3000, with all fxs/fxo ports
registered to the Asterisk box with unique username/passwords.
The inbound PSTN DTMF works excellently, e.g. people calling from PSTN
into the * box are able to pick IVR items with DTMF reliably.

SPA-3000 generating one-ring calls
This is a wierd one. Can't figure it out. I have an SPA-3000 at the
house handling my incoming line. It's setup to direct the incoming call
to asterisk. Works great 99% of the time.
A few times a day, I'm getting calls that ring once internally and are
then hungup. I managed to get a detailed log [1] of what's happening
today and it looks to me that the SPA is acting wierd.

Sipura spa-2000 / 3000: surge protection
I am located in the UK, and I am using Sipura spa-2000 adapters to
connect analog phones to a voip network. The network connects to the
PSTN as well via the Sipura spa-3000 adapter.
I would like to provide surge protection for the spa-2000 and the
spa-3000 adapters.
1. For spa-2000, fxs port: What is the maximum tip-to-ring voltage
before damage to the the adapter occurs?

AU caller ID with Sipura SPA-3000
Hi All,
I am using a Sipura SPA-3000 as an FXO gateway to bring calls in and
out of Asterisk. I am using "PSTN Ring Thru Line 1" (on the "PSTN
Line" tab) so Asterisk answers the call rather than the SPA-3000. It
is all working perfectly except I can't get the SPA-3000 to pass
caller ID to Asterisk. It passes "Display Name", "User ID" and any
