Dell SC1430 + Digium TE110P = Digital Noise in PRI
Hi list,
I have a terrible noise issue with Dell SC1430 + Digium TE110P. The
digium card is not sharing interrupts with any other device, as I saw in
Dell's BIOS and also with "lspci -vb" command.
After changing coax wire, UTP, balum, digium card ... I have found that
the problem is in Dell box, so now I'm running the same Asterisk config

TigerJet 320G Chip / TDM400 Chipset / DAHDI Support
Hi, I'm curious what chip Digium is using in the latest TDM400 cards.
Specifically, to my recollection, they used to use the TigerJet 320G,
however somewhat recently, Tigerjet was bought out, and now the 320G is no
longer produced.
Maybe a better question is: is there a way I can take the latest DAHDI
source and get a list of supported chipsets from it?
Thanks.

tdm2400p question
Hi all,
I'm confused, in digium website, it says:
TDM2400P: It supports a combination of up to 6 FXS and/or FXO modules for a
total of 24 lines.
6 plus 6 is 12, how come it's 24?
if I have 24 PSTN lines, i'll be needing 24 FXOs.
Pls. elaborate.
thanks.

Chan_Capi Down
Hi all,
* was running ... I have a WT405P and an AVM C4 with chan_capi 0.3.4a
Today chan_capi stopped working, without any changings at the system.
It seems, that not * is the reason, because isdn-log also shows no calls.
If I try to call * from outside via capi, I only get a busy.
That is the try from inside to outside:

Shared Call and Bridged Line appearances on Polycom IP501
Greetings,
I am trying to get either of the above features to work with *, but
can't seem to get it quite right. If anyone has them working, I'd
sure appreciate an extract from the relevant config files.
Or, maybe I'm tilting at windmills, and * doesn't support them - in
which case, the underlying business need is to provide the one
incoming call on more than one

ATA with reliable FAX?
I am looking for an ATA that has had very reliable results when passing FAX
over IP. I was thinking of testing the Cisco (not Linksys) ATA 186 I1, ATA
186 I2, ATA 188 I1. This is what I'm looking for:
FAX -> PTSN -> through Asterisk -> ATA -> Fax Machine.
I have QoS from PSTN entry to ATA on the network so I can assure precedence.
What has everyone out there been using

PRI Crapping Out Regularly
We have a server with a TE120 on a partial PRI trunk that several times
a day declares the PRI trunk down and stops handling calls until the
asterisk is stopped, the zaptel/te120 modules reloaded, and asterisk
started.
Just before things go down, the log shows the following error:

Can any Canadian VOIP users post/email me with feedback on their providers?
I'll post the results for all to read......

Suppliers in Canada
I am looking for some Linksys and GrandStream ATAs in Canada. I am
looking for places that ship from Canada so I don't have to deal
with the clearing of customs and tax remittance.
Any suggestion?

generate dial tone
The way I have my dialplan configured, an internal extension is routed
to a different context (with Goto()) on pretty much the first button
press.
2 -> internal extensions
0 -> operator
5 -> VM
9 -> outside line
etc.
So a "201" will go to the internal extensions context, s,1, do some
setup and then match on "01".
The thing is that when the 9 is entered, I

How big is *your* dialplan??
Hello!
In my relentless quest for knowledge, I pose this question: who's got
the biggest
dialplans, and how big are these monsters?
What's the biggest dialplan in use right now? If you feel you are a
competitor,
let me know how many contexts/extensions/priorities you are dealing
with. Maybe the
context with the most extensions, the extension with the most priorities

AGI - How to Make Calls and Bridge to Original Incoming
I need to accept an incoming call, make a series of outgoing calls, and
once I find someone willing to accept the call, bridge the original
incoming call to the outgoing call.
Using Dial from an AGI script isn't enough because once the Dial'ed
number connects, the call is immediately bridged and I need to ask the
called party if they will accept the call.
I can see a couple of

How does the PCI bus effect latency and echo?
Hello All,
I was wondering, how does the PCI bus effect echo and latency?
I know a large part of the echo issues out there have to do with the pci
bus latency, but are there any suggestions on the hardware side to
minimize this? For example, a 533mhz vs 800mhz fsb, would it have any
effect on communications? Even on a low load server, I am trying to
decide if getting a dell poweredge server is

Hi all, this is another post about this problem.
I installed from scratch a new Suse Linux 10.0, with latest stable

Moreover I add the lines to /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev.rules, in order to
let the driver create the /dev/zap.......

Sysvol GPO ACLs problem
Hi,
We are having problems with sysvol AD shared folder in a Samba 4.9.13 AD.
Has been running smoothly until recently, and we don't know how to fix it. We detected the problem trying to create a new AD GPO, it fails with the message (sorry, we have windows in Spanish, it's not literal translation): "this security identifier cannot be assigned as object owner".

Budgetone 101 phones ? SIP through NAT ?
I'm new to VOIP. We are thinking of setting up a VOIP system between a
couple remote offices. I've been lurking on this group for a while.
What is the consensus on these phones:

I'm confused about the SIP protocol... can a SIP phone be located behind
a NATing firewall ?
