I could compile llvm but when I was trying to compile the llvm-gcc4.2 front end the compilation aborted with following error message: ../../gcc/config/rs6000/rs6000.c: In function ‘rs6000_override_options’: ../../gcc/config/rs6000/rs6000.c:1510: error: ‘MASK_MACHO_DYNAMIC_NO_PIC’ undeclared

smbpasswd produces INCORRECT sambaNTPasswd hash on ppc (yellowdog 4.0 on xserve G5)
I'm having trouble setting up samba as a PDC on an apple xserve, using yellowdog linux 4.0. After a lot of thrashing, I believe the problem may be smbpasswd generating the wrong NT hash. Running smbpasswd on a redhat box (intel architecture) produces the follow LDAP entry: dn: uid=testuser2,ou=Users,dc=allstate,dc=network objectClass: top objectClass: inetOrgPerson objectClass: posixAccount

Yellow dog linux install?
Hello folks I am attempting to install R on a series of Apple G5 machines which are running Yellow Dog Linux 6.0. Has anyone had success with this, and is there something I should be doing which I am not? Upon configure, I receive the error message: checking whether mixed C/Fortran code can be run... configure: WARNING: cannot run mixed C/Fortran code configure: error: Maybe check LDFLAGS

Installing R Project on a PS3 - Success
I've been trying to install R on a PS3 for several weeks now without success and have read various posts here, and elsewhere, on this and installing R on other PPC64 architecture machines which have given me some pointers. Yesterday, after much frustration, I finally succeeded and it runs well. As several people have posted questions about this here, and elsewhere on this, I thought I'd

Apple implementation
I am new to Asterisk and Digium card implementation issues. My VAR is strongly recommending using Apple hardware and Yellow Dog Linux for my telephony project, because of his familiarity with this OS. Is the PowerPC an appropriate and stable hardware platform for Digium/Asterisk development? Charles Hatchette chatchette@generalcare.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

X100P fails to initialize
So I took a chance with an X100P knock-off on eBay. I'm running Asterisk + FreePBX on a PowerMac G3 (beige desktop) using Slackintosh 10.2 and kernel 2.6.16.16. Everything has been fine up until now. I compile the 1.2.5 Zaptel drivers without a problem, get the udev configuration in, modprobe zaptel, and finally modprobe wcfxo. At this point, I get the message: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel

liveice sending horrible static noise?
Hi, I'm trying to get liveice to work on a YellowDog (powerpc) computer, and all I can get it to stream is an awful static noise. Listening carefully, I can barely hear the song in with the noise... Looking through the list archives, I see someone has posted a similar problem, and fixed it by undefining NUMBER_LITTLE_ENDIAN in liveice.h So I did, liveice.h:/* #define
