preferences in used Compaq Proliant DL380 G1 vrs DL380 G2 etc
greetings, for those of you in the know, may i have some assistance in helping to make better decisions in purchasing more used server toys to install CentOS on please? :-) in the Compaq Proliant Rackmount DL380 line, the one that looks like the older 1850R is called a G1 meaning Generation 1 right? and then the DL380 G2 is a redesign that is gray and just has 6 drive bays up front correct?

Boot problem HP/Compaq DL360 G3
The machine in question is a DL360 G3 R03 Xeon DP 3060-512/533 (part number: 322471-421). It's the first HP-branded model we've had so far (previously all Compaq branded). It has 1Gb of memory and a couple of drives on the on-board SCSI controller (setup for mirroring in the SCSI bios). No SMP is setup right now (doesn't get far enough to do anything with it!). compaq dl380 raid 5 striping size using built in scsi controllers ??

Problem installing Centos on laptop
Hi, I have been trying to install Centos 4.4 on my laptop with no success. I have just purchased a new Acer 5100 laptop with AMD Turion 64x2 1Gig ram 120Gig HD. I have tried the 64bit and the 32 bit versions but have the same problem with both of them.
