YUM - Did directories change on the mirrors?
I didn't see this in the mail archives, maybe I missed it. I'm running CentOS 3. It looks like the $releasever directory has been dropped from mirrors.centos.org. This just happened in the last week (I run a daily cron to check for updates) My yum.conf (for CentOS 3) has url's defined like: baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos-3/$releasever/addons/$basearch/ But

Allow ALL internal traffic
Hi all, its a real nightmare for me. Although i have read and searched the web for two weeks i can`t get shorewall to work. problem is that we have only one server that acts as fileserver (samba, nis, nfs) and router/firewall for the lan. the server has two interfaces eth0 = lan and eth1 = internet. The only what we need is full access from the lan to the firewall and restricted access

Centos 5.2 upgrade - urlopen error unknown url type: media
My first notebook upgrade: I repaired my old HP nc4010 (bought a new hinge on ebay) and realized this was the perfect way to test out the upgrade to 5.2 before doing it on my production notebook. First I updated to 'current' 5.1 (by current I mean I have not synced my 5.1 local repo since building my 5.2 repo). I had not used my nc4010 for a while and the kernel was at

7777 (simulate incoming call) not working
I'm setting up a new AAH 1.0 box to replace my AAH 0.6 box. Though on the new box, I've installed a generic ebay X100P. I don't have my livevoip or voicepulse accounts set up yet on the new box (can both boxes be registered at the same time?). I've set up one IP phone (SPA841) with the new box. I have my SBC POTS line plugged into the fxo card. I set up everything in AMP.

Problems with some rpms in my local repo
This is perplexing. on a Centos 5.1 box that I am trying to upgrade, I keep getting: [Errno 4] IOError: <urlopen error unknown url type: media> from my local repo. I did a blank system install via http from this server with no problem. For instance, if I limit myself to: yum upgrade yum I get: Loading "priorities" plugin Loading "installonlyn" plugin Setting up

yum can't connect to mirrors
Hello, I added rpmforge yum repo to my yum config and then the box couldn't connect to fetch updates. I added enabled=0 to rpmforge.repo as well as add-ons, contrib, and centosplus, but i'm still getting mirror errors. I believe i've got some file corruption somewhere, but i don't see where. I can't even fetch packages in updates now, keep getting connection refused
