Page() and Asterisk 1.2.3 Problems?
Has anyone else had problems with the Page() application not working
under Asterisk 1.2.3?
We use Cisco 7960 phones and set one of the lines to auto answer. When
someone dials the paging extension it calls the page app and invites all
the lines on the phones that are set to auto answer into a meetme
conference where all the members are muted except the original caller.

QSIG against a Nortel/Meridian PBX
[Reposting, as was bounced for non-member, sorry if this is a dupe]
Arrangement:

Normal calls between PBX system phones and SIP phones work, in both
directions. The call logs look like (ignore the no answer, it did ring):

VoiceMailMain skipping extension and password prompting
I would like to access VoiceMailMain2 skipping extension and password
prompting if calling from a resource that has a mailbox defined. What
variables can I use to retrieve the calling channel & calling extension (if
it exists)?
Here is what I'm trying to accomplish (of course ${CallingResourse.MailBox}
is not a real way to retrieve this info)...

VoiceMail Issue
Hello,
am attempting again to resolve an issue with multi-tenancy and the forwarding to VMs between mailboxes. If in a multi-tenancy environment one uses custom contexts ie.
[a1-ext1](a1)
mailbox=101 at a1
and the associated voicemail.conf entry:
[a1]
101 => 1234,My User 1,addr1 at email.com,,tz=eastern|imapuser=addr1 at email.com|imapfolder=Inbox

MWI bug ?
Hi Lee,
You need to specify the VM context that you are using..
so using your examples..
extensions.conf entry..
exten => 1000,1,Dial(SIP/1000,20)
exten => 1000,2,Voicemail2(u1000)
exten => 1000,102,Voicemail2(b1000)
exten => 1000,103,Hangup
should be..
exten => 1000,1,Dial(SIP/1000,20)
exten => 1000,2,Voicemail2(u1000@sip)
exten => 1000,102,Voicemail2(b1000@sip)

STABLE regression with AIC-7902 controller.
I have a Supermicro SuperServer 6013P-8 system which features a X5DPR-8G2
motherboard with embedded Adaptec AIC-7902 dual-Ultra320 SCSI controller.
Said system boots and runs fine with 4.8-RELEASE (with a slight cosmetic
problem during boot that can be cured by building a kernel without eisa
support). With STABLE (as of 19 June) the system locks up hard (no
response to the keboard) during the

Paging and Auto Answer on Grandstream GXP2000
I am looking to setup paging using the auto answer feature on the
Grandstream GXP2000. I am thinking I will follow the method as described
here:
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Asterisk+cmd+page
I will setup the 4th account on the phone to auto answer.
Does anyone else have a method that works better? I also looked at the
allpage AGI written on Voip-Info. But it seems

app_voicemail2 became a bit silent, lately...
Hi,
after cvs upgrading my * installation yesterday, the prompts in both
VoiceMail2 and VoiceMailMain2 have become silent. All I get is the initial
"blip" followed by the Voice taking breath and being cut off before she
has a chance to say "Comedian Mail".
All other prompts (ie the Playback application) seem to work fine.
I can still login to VoiceMailMain2, however, each

dialing 8 in VM2 causes channel lockup?
Hi guys,
I'm running Asterisk-0.5.0 and accidentally stumbled on this problem
while in the VoicemailMain2 application:
If you login to it, or even if you call it w/ 's<extension>' to skip the
login and press an '8' near the beginning (and possibly at any point,
I'm not sure), the channel seems to lockup, even if the handset is
hungup, the channel remains frozen

OT: NIC Problem (Fwd: In response to your USRobotics technical support questions, your case #:300882125)
And my last post on the matter.
This is why I won't do business with USR again anytime soon. They
couldn't even be bothered to tell me this on my first query to them.

Problem joining a samba Dc to a winbdows domain
Hi Tom,
The problem here is due to fundamental implementation differences in the
way Windows and Samba store linked attributes. Your DB is likely fine
(no corruptions).
During replication (i.e. the join), Windows can sometimes send linked
attributes before Samba knows about the source/target objects involved.
As Andrew said, historically Samba has handled this by silently dropping
these links,
