[OT] Corporate Firewall
Hey,
The company I work for is in the market for a new firewall. Right now
we're hosting all of our own stuff (on CentOS servers) behind an old
checkpoint firewall.
I think Checkpoint is overkill for our needs and very expensive, plus I
don't like the "per-user" charges of some commercial solutions. What do
you guys suggest that we upgrade to? Here are some of the

looking for input on broadband router with QoS and VPN support
Hi,
We're installing an * box next week (pbxtra from fonality) and I'm
trying to come up with a solution for remote users that want a phone in
their home. I need VPN and QoS capability, wireless support would be a
nice to have. Ethernet handoff is fine, i don't need integrated dsl or
cable modem...
I've been googling and cruising the list and can find bits and pieces

OT: SIP aware firewalls?
Hi All,
Until now I've only used IAX2 to connect to ITSPs. I've been toying
with a SIP connection to Gizmo Project, but not yet successfully. It
brings to mind a question. At what point does it make sense to consider
a SIP-aware firewall such as those from Ingate?
I'd hate to move away from my m0n0wall, which is open source, easy to
manage and has served me brilliantly for two

Bandwidth management and ADSL router
Hi All;
I discover that most of the voice cutting complain are coming from the Internet bandwidth when we are connecting two remote offices togethor via Asterisk or any other IP PBX.
Anyone has an idea on a ADSL router that work as ADSL + Bandwidth division? So we can resolve the problem of providing a guaranteed bandwidth for the voice packets instead of suffering the voice cutting?

Best inexpensive home office router for VoIP (QoS with maybe PoE)
Hi,
I'm looking for opinions on the "best value" router to use for home offices.
It should work for a scenario in which there are 3 computers and 2 SIP
phones, handling QoS so that the phones always have higher priority traffic
than the PCs. (and not rely on the phones to do the QoS because some PCs may
not be connected to the phones).
QoS could be based on destination and source

Router Recommendations Please
Hello all,
We've discovered that VoIP (IAX2) + Citrix + Video is pegging the measly
CPU on the Netopia router our ISP provided. We've got 3Mb/3Mb and will
increase to 4/4 next year.
The Netopia simply breaks out our WAN IPs, and we've got a switch hooked up
to it on the inside (Actually I've got a QoS box in-between).

Newbie-Firewalls?
Hi all,
I plan to install Asterisk at home and would like to
ask some question re firewalls(perhaps it sounds
stupid for experts, sorry….)
I plan to connect Asterisk box to a ADSL line.
What Router/Firewall system to buy?
I think I need a "VoIP capable" device for this. Any
advice?
But, really should Asterisk be placed behind the
Firewall? What ports to open? Need port forwarding?
Or

SIP NAT + m0n0wall 1:1 mapping
I know a SIP client behind a NAT trying to peer with Asterisk behind
another NAT is troublesome. Has anyone had any luck doing this by
interfacing Asterisk to the WAN using 1:1 NAT translation to give it a
public IP while still firewalled?
In my instance I'm using m0n0wall, but this is a hardware-neutral
question.
Thanks.

Something is strange - perhaps my AMD processors ?
Moi Timo / all.
I've been using Dovecot on my Qmailtoaster production mailserver for
some years - since 1.0.7 and current Version 2.0.10 - works perfectly.
Now I am installing a backupsystem and a VM testsystem (2 boxes) - and
no matter how and what Version I am installing on these 2 boxes I get
below messages whenever I try to test connection with Telnet (localhost

I have tried

Samba Domain Login
Okay,
I'm really starting to run out of ideas here. Any help would really
be handy. I'm looking after a small network, clients are running win2000
SP3 and a Linux Server running samba, doing domain logins. Everything is
working fine apart from two machines (from ten). Probably once a week
one of them will fail to login in after a reboot or log off. If any
user tries to login into the

Connecting ethX devices directly to a KVM/QEMU guest OS (no bridging)
Hello CentOS gurus, and a belated Happy New Year (or an early Happy
Chinese New Year).
I'm in the process of building a CentOS-6 KVM host machine whose only
function will be to run four independent 'm0n0wall' firewall guest
instances. I have a couple of quad-port Intel NICs to provide four
WAN-side and four LAN-side ports, which will not be shared with any
other guests. Remote

[LLVMdev] DEBUG_TYPE
In include/llvm/ADT/Statistic.h, the identifier “DEBUG_TYPE” is never defined. I’ve noticed it’s defined as different things in a few other header files, including llvm/Analysis/BlockFrequencyInfoImpl.h, llvm/Analysis/RegionInfoImpl.h, llvm/Support/UnicodeCharRanges.h, llvm/Transforms/InstCombine/InstCombineWorkList.h, and llvm/Transforms/Utils/SSAUpdaterImpl.h. Should I edit Statistic.h so that

CentOS 4.5 and CentOS 5.0 News
Hi,
I use CentOS as a firewall/proxy/webserver/fileserver
in my small network. As the small-spec machine with
CentOS is heavily loaded/used I can't afford downtime.
20 GB, pentium II with only 128 MB RAM.
However I want to know the news on 4.5 is it due soon?
Can I gain more by running CentOS 3.x range on such an
old machine like mine?
Will CentOS 5.0 mean you need a minimum of 512 RAM?

[LLVMdev] getAnalysis<DataLayout>() Causing Compilation Error
I’m debugging SAFECode source code files, and in AllocatorInfo.cpp, in the function getObjectSize(Value* V), the function getAnalysis<DataLayout>() is called. I’ve run into this problem before, and the first time I saw it, my employer recommended I use M.getDataLayout() instead, where M was a reference to a Module. However, in getObjectSize(Value* V), there is no Module reference in the

[LLVMdev] Obtaining a GlobalVariable from an MDNode
I’m trying to debug SAFECode source code files, and I need to find a way to obtain a GlobalVariable from its appropriate MDNode. How can I do this? I’ve been looking over the doxygen and I can’t seem to find a way to do this.

It works:

#include <limits>
#include <iostream>
#include <math.h>
int main() {

Hardware RAID Controller
Hi Everyone,
Has anyone had any experience of using the Promise FastTrak SX4000 or
SuperTrak SX6000 IDE RAID Controllers under Centos (if it matters I'm
using version 4). I've seen it listed on linuxcompatible.org as working
but would prefer to find out any first-hand experince before I buy.
I'm looking to build a new mini server based on Mini-ITX and have found
