Re: VoiceTronix Openline 4
Ron,
VoiceTronix worked with me last week and backported the new chan_vpb
that's in the current HEAD CVS tree to the 1.0 stable branch. So if you
are using 0.7.2 or 0.9.0 you can go to the VoiceTronix website now (note
that this is very new) and download an Asterisk package. When you
download it there is an new chan_vpb.c that needs to be put in your
asterisk source code tree. Also there

VoiceTronix V4PCI and Digium TDM40B together
I am really struggling getting Asterisk up and running utilizing these two
cards. Has anyone had success with this combination? If so, would you be
ever so kind to submit sample vpb.conf,zaptel.conf,zapata.conf and
extension.conf files???
With great thanks,

ztcfg and Aastra 390 phones
I am wandering if anyone can explain this unusual scenario. I am running
Asterisk on Fedora. After the box boots, I run insmod wcfxs at a command
line. The phones keep the red message light on and are in a state like
they are not recognized yet. If I then run the command ztcfg, I don't get
anything after the command, meaning that everything should be OK in zapata
and zaptel confs and the

Voicetronix OpenLine4 -- Help Needed
Hi. I need help with my brand new Voicetronix OpenLine4 board that I
installed into Asterisk.
After building the Linux device driver and inserting the module, I
modified the /usr/src/asterisk/channels/chan_vpb.c file to uncomment the
US settings and comment out the Austrailian ones.
I made the appropriate entries for routing in vpb.conf and
extensions.conf.... All appears to be well, except

Asterisk with Voicetronix OpenLine4 card
hi there,
i've been able to successfully run asterisk with the Voicetronix OpenLine4
card, it can accept calls and function normally. The only problem I'm
experiencing so far is getting the card to outdial to a third party.
What I'm trying to achieve is basically call bridging, where the caller
dials in to asterisk, some IVR plays and then attempts to perform a
"transfer"

voicetronix openline4 comments
Hi
I would like your comments on the openline4 card from voicetronix.
I am trying to get one working and find it difficult.
I was able to get asterisk working yesterday but now it doesn't work anymore
While it worked I was able to make some calls and I heard a lot of jitter
Any comments appreciated.

Voicetronix OpenLine4 immediately hangs up on every call
Hi
we've got Asterisk CVS-HEAD 18-Aug-04 (modified by
Voicetronix as available on their site for use with the
vpb driver) and an OpenLine4 (4xFXO). The same server also
has two X100P.
Calls on the Voicetronix card drop instantly when the
called party picks up. The vpb driver reports that it
detected a hangup (loop drop) yet there is no hangup when
connecting the X100Ps or analog phones to

Intel 537ep
Owias,
The 537 is, for the most part, a drop-in replacement for the Digium card. Please search the archive and the Wiki, as there have recently been several discussions about this exact subject.
To my knowledge that is about the only modem that works, but keep in mind it is _not_ supported. That being said, follow the instructions on Digium's site for installing the X100P and you should be

Using asterisk with vpb driver (OpenLine4)
Hello, list,
I am using Asterisk with an OpenLine4 card. It worked well with Asterisk
1.0. Then I upgraded the system, Asterisk 1.4 had some problem to
compile chan_vpb, but I managed to compile it manually. Still Asterisk
does not work because it refused to load chan_vpb module. I had to
revert back to install Asterisk 1.2. Then I get a error:
asterisk: hip.cpp:793:

Voicetronix OpenSwitch12
Hi all,
I used to have an OpenLine4 card, but decided against using it due to
some problems with hangup detect. Does anyone on the list actively use
Voicetronix's OpenSwitch12? What are your opinions on the card?
Cheers,
Flynn

voicetronix and asterisk@home
Any guidance on how to get my openline4 to get recognized by asterisk@home?
I've got my vpb drivers running, but not sure how to add it as a trunk,
should it be via zap? or is there another way?
Thanks,
Chuck

Voicetronix Segmentation Fault
Hi,
I am using a voicetronix OpenLine4. I downloaded a recent asterisk
CVS from voicetronix webpage but have had no luck to reduce echo on
outgoing calls and for it not to crach on incoming calls. I dont
think both problems are related though.
Here is an output of what happens when a new call comes in and my
voicetronix tries to pick it up and crashes asterisk:

Hi
I'd like to use asterisk with my VoiceTronix OpenLine4 board

I'm new to Asterisk, so I don't know how to test Asterisk with my board.....
I'd like to call my phone and have Asterisk to answer somethink like "Hi I'm

Outdialing with Voicetronix
Hi all,
Just thought I'd pass along some pointers when outdialing with Voicetronix's
OpenLine4 card.
I was having a tough time dialing out from *, it probably has something to
do with chan_vpb.c not waiting to hear the dialtone before telling the card
to dial. A quick fix was to insert a "," in the dialstring telling the card
to pause before dialing.
However when the

Asterisk, Voicetronix, and Australia
I'm looking to use Asterisk to replace my current PBX system. I'm in
Australia so I need to use Austel approved equipment. My plan is roughly
as follows:
- Get a box with a suitable card and install Asterisk
- Connect our existing PSTN lines to the Asterisk box
- Get suitable softphones/ip phones to connect to the Asterisk system
- Route all intra-office calls over our VPN
- Route all

scandsp, voicetronix and rxfx
Hi all,
Trying to get fax reception going using a voicetronix openline4 card,
however, there are two issues (as far as I can see)
(1) Currently the voicetronix world (cards, firmware, drivers, channel
prog etc.) does not do fax tone detection. I have spoken to the
voicetronix guys , understand what has to happen there and may do some
hacking if I can resolve the second issue. Meanwhile, I

Openline4 and asterisk@home
Hi all,
Can somebody help me get my OpenLine4 card running with asterisk@home?
I've got my VPB drivers configured, but can't figure out how to map
trunks and channels the typical way in the AMP config interface for
Asterisk@home.
Apparently I'm supposed to use /vpb/1 type commands, but I'm not sure
how it should work.
I'm relatively new to asterisk, I did a bunch of

Asterisk@home and OpenLine4 issue
Hi fellows
I'm trying to set up an OpenLine4 card to an A@H
I made a "custom trunk" and putting a "dial string" like
this "vpb/1-1/$OUTNUM$" I configured the outbound
routing using "8|." as patern and "NXXXXXX" as dial
rule..., but I'm getting an "all circuits are busy now" when
I dial "8NXXXXXX"
Here is my vpb.conf
