Mail account brute force / harassment
Say for instance you have some one trying to constantly access an account Has any of you made something creative like this: * configure that account to allow to login with any password * link that account to something like /dev/zero that generates infinite amount of messages (maybe send an archive of virusses?) * transferring TB's of data to this harassing client. I think it would be

Mail account brute force / harassment
Marc, There is a strategy loosely referred to as "choose your battles well" :-) Let the others bother with their own problems. If you can, hack the server and dump the 500GB - you'll be using resources transferring the 500GB as the other server receives it. Two servers wasting resources because you think you are punishing an offender! On Thu, 11 Apr 2019 at 13:43, Marc Roos

can I use CentOS as a antivirus / spam filter / HTTP AV gateway?
Hi all I've been thinking about using CentOS on a Dell R200 server and turn it into a firewall / network monitor / traffic shaper in our datacentre, instead of using a dedicated firewall device. One of the devices that I have been looking at, with my limited budget, is the D-Link DFL 860 - http://www.netdefend.eu/Product.aspx?m=15&ref=DFL-860 It provides AV, SPI, VPN, DOS, P2P, etc

voicemail instructions
Hi, I've been playing with Voicemail and Voicemail2 a bit for my users, and there are a few things I'm wondering about: - We can specify parameters to the mailbox (s, b or u) to select which prompts to play. However, if we specify 'b' or 'u' it plays that (customisable) message, but it also plays the voicemail instructions. For the dutch, it is customary that a user

Whoah! My E400P system went AWOL
Hi, I came back from a quiet weekend today and found my E400P box to have gone astray. Asterisk is loaded from inittab, and started crashing and reloading a couple of thousands of times, each time notifying my monitoring service :-P I remember there would be issues on old cvs stuff since the crash at digium so I made a clean checkout just now. Here is what happens when I load manually:

Manager.pm port
For anyone that cares... I am porting James Golovich's Manager.pm over to PHP. I plan on also doing some documentation which will cover both the Perl and PHP APIs, which will be almost identical (at least, to whatever extent is practical). Will let y'all know when I have some usable code to show you. -- JustThe.net Internet & Multimedia Svcs. [The Fusion of Content &

How do I combine lists of data.frames into a single data frame?
The data.frame is constructed by one of the following functions: funweek <- function(df) if (length(df$elapsed_time) > 5) { rv = fitdist(df$elapsed_time,"exp") rv$year = df$sale_year[1] rv$sample = df$sale_week[1] rv$granularity = "week" rv } funmonth <- function(df) if (length(df$elapsed_time) > 5) { rv =

AEL2 and CID
Does anyone know how to get CID working in AEL2 ? In extensions.conf you can do: exten => 111/666,1,PlayBack(demo-congrats) exten => 111/666,2,Hangup() exten => 111,1,PlayBack(demo-moreinfo) exten => 111,2,Hangup() and if callerid 666 dialed 111, they would get demo-congrats, everyone else gets demo-moreinfo. In AEL: 111 => { Playback(demo-moreinfo);

on-access virusscanning on shares
Is there anyone who has (successfully) implemented a method of on-access virusscanning of files on a samba share? For Linux, I only know of Sophos and McAfee virusscanners but neither of them can scan files as they are written or read. Is there possibly a hook of some sort in samba for this? Catch all for dovecot authentication?
Hi I'm aware that there are several good reasons not to do what I want, but in my use-case it would be an interesting feature. So please no discussions about the reasonableness I have some spamtrap SMTP servers (postfix). Currently SMTP AUTH is disabled. But as I daily have thousands of AUTH tries I thought it would be nice to be able to accept any AUTH request from postfix in dovecot. Is

I need help making a data.fame comprised of selected columns of an original data frame.
I must have missed something simple, but still, i don't know what. I obtained my basic data as follows: x <- sprintf("SELECT m_id,sale_date,YEAR(sale_date) AS sale_year,WEEK(sale_date) AS sale_week,return_type,0.0001 + DATEDIFF(return_date,sale_date) AS elapsed_time FROM `merchants2`.`risk_input` WHERE DATEDIFF(return_date,sale_date) IS NOT NULL") moreinfo <- dbGetQuery(con,
