Hello, Using asterisk-1.2.1 I am trying to convert my music-on-hold files from .wav to alaw: % sox moh.wav -r 8000 -c 1 moh.al resample -ql The file sounds fine when listened with: % sox mox.al -t ossdsp /dev/dsp But when listened through asterisk with an alaw SIP phone the sound is clicky and too fast. I just installed Dovecot and it is working great. But I need subfolders. Does this mean I need to convert to Maildir format? This may sound kind of crazy and I maybe missing something. But are you placing the call on hold so you can hear the hold music. This may not be the case but you may have to place the call on hold to here the music. Also you mentioned sound, you do not need a sound card in the asterisk box to use this hold music feature. Dovecot is delivering mail to my ~/.mail directory wonderfully. But /var/mail/michael is growing steadily. Is it the job of Dovecot to purge this file regularly? Is there a setting somewhere for this? Thanks, Michael
