I have successfully kickstarted 3.4 x86_64, but after updating my repo to 3.5 I see a kernel panic when it loads vmlinuz. Funny thing is that I had one box that would kernel panic while trying to install centos-3.4-x86_64, which then would install fine after updating to 3.5, but now my other mahcines will not kickstart. --

I've got myself an Adaptec 2200 HW RAID card to play for couple of days. Tha card uses aacraid device driver. Seems to work nicely, however just wandering if there's a tool (prefferably CLI) for CentOS that can read out RAID configuration data, status of individual drives, maybe even manage (create/delete) RAID devices? Hi, I am not totally sure what caused this but I just wanted to know if anything of this sort has been seen in the ext3 world. I did a fresh install of redhat 7.2 linux with kernel-2.4.9(we have some patches applied to this). I have root and boot filesystems as ext3 type. Older binutils (prior to 2.16) have a problem with the linker script resulting from the change introducing explicit segment maps. Namely does the respective linker not properly handle @nobits sections (i.e. .bss) sitting between @progbits ones (i.e. .data.*). I recently installed VMware on CentOS 4.4 (using the single server CD). I installed VMware fine, and then installed the VMware-mui tools that allow me to use a Windows box to console to the server.
