Zapata Tormenta 2
I have an old zapata tormenta 2 quad port pci card. I'd like to get it working and play with it but was curious to see if that was possible. Does anyone know if it will work for 2.6 kernels, or where I can find decent drivers? I tried getting the tor driver from http://www.zapatatelephony.org/linux-zapata-current/ installed, but didn't get very far. Any input is appreciated.

Sound breaking. Because of Tormenta2 PRI Interface Card or something else
Hi everybody, I need to know about sound quailty issues from those who have experience with Tormenta2 PRI Interface. Also how to make it work with new versions of Asterisk and Zaptel. And also suggestion if it is a good idea to switch to some newer card from Sangoma or Digium, or Tormenta should work fine. I have sound breaking many times a day over the trunks. Server is AMD Athlon 2.4 GHz with

External access to voicemail
in my setup i have several users with DID lines coming in from various sip/iax providers. within our old phone system, a user could call their own DID line, then hit the * key when they hear their voicemail greeting and be prompted for their password. is there any way this could be replicated within asterisk? i'm having trouble figuring it out since it steps through things sequentially,

segmentation fault at voicemail
Hi, I would like to express my appreciation to your big efforts. I am enjoying Asterisk very much. My Asterisk works very well, but I encountered a segfault at voicemail after pressing # to end the recording. Please see the log below. My asterisk is running on RedHat 8. When booting the Asterisk, I found a WARNING around IAX, and it says "Unable to open IAX timing interface: No such

Problem with tor2 driver and Zapata Tormenta 2 Quad T1/PRI Card
Hi All, I'm having a bit of a time getting my Tormenta 2 card to actually be seen by the system. Whenever I modprobe, the kernel spits out the following (in addition to the "insmod tor2 failed" messages): Invalid Xilinx 8 bit Base resource Registered Tormenta2 PCI Of course, the module says that its registered a Tormenta2 card, but it unloads the driver and frees related

Hi, I have just begun working with TDMoE running between 2 fiber nics the dynamic span works great. In my main asterisk box's startup file I just 'modprobe tor2', then start asterisk. The zaptel, ztdynamic & ztd-eth modules all load by themselves when tor2 is loaded. If I stop asterisk then 'modprobe -r tor2' the tor2 module is removed but the other three remain. If I

Outline For Asterisk Book - Please Review & Comment
Asterisk Users In an attempt to help Asterisk move forward, a number of us have decided to create a book. It would initially be released as an "ebook" that could be sent to newbies to help them up the rather steep learning curve. Ultimately I would like to see it published and sold in bookstores (preferably by O'Reilly & Co.). Below is the outline for the book. We REALLY
