Can WINE help me using Dell Axim from Puppy Linux 511?
Since I'm new to this forum I probably I'm doing something wrong, I'm sorry if this's the case!
I don't have a windows base system, solely Puppy Linux. I do have an Axim, though; can't do hardly anything useful with it since starting using just Linux. Went through many pages about WINE but failed to locate any useful info. That's the reason for posting my issue here.

[Half-OT] PDA Clients and Rails
Hello!
I''d like to gather some points about running a rails application on a
PDA. As a condition I''d like to use Palm and Windows Mobile based PDA to
target a huge user audience (this could be become difficult I know,
only Windows Mobile for the start is although okay).
I googled the last weeks and found out that there were only a few web
browsers out there. E.g. Mozilla

tc on a PDA
hello,
i have a 5500 iPaq with familiar 0.8.2 on it and i don''t know how to
install a traffic shaper tool on it.
I installed iproute2 package i found on familiar site and for that i
have the tc and ip commands, but when trying to add a qdisc, as a
dummy example, i get the next answer:
> tc qdisc add dev wlan0 root cbq bandwidth 100Mbit avpkt 100

echo cancellation on PDA
I did the test on another PDA which runs XScale 416Mhz CPU, the EAC
arithmetic could be done in 1ms, but for the previous PDA (TI OMAP
168Mhz), it take more than 100ms!
Though EAC could run in time on the new PDA, it did no help to cancel
the echo, here is my test scenario:
Init echo_state:
echo_state=speex_echo_state_init(160,1120);
int tmp=8000;

echo cancellation on PDA
Hello all,
Today I tried speex echo cancellation on my VoIP application running
on a windows mobile based PDA (OMAP1510 168MHz). The result is
disappointing: it takes 150-250 ms to do echo cancellation (by calling
speex_echo_capture() ) for a 20 ms frame!
I've defined the FIXED_POINT macro. Is there anyway to do some optimization?

Voicemail WAV to PDA Problems
Our asterisk server has been up and running for over a year and it works
great. I have emails going to my account as an attachment and I can
listen to them on the desktop and it works fine. I just got a T-Mobile
MDA that runs Windows Pocket (or whatever they call it) and it can check
email. If I have it download the email, it gets the attachment, but it
can't seem to play it (it CAN

c++ Wav->ogg encoder
Hi
I'm new with ogg and also with using third party libraries. I'm making a
C++ PocketPC program and I need a simple wav->ogg encoder function. But as
I have tried to use ogg vorbis libraries I don't know what or how to use
them.
I think that best way would be to use libogg 1.1.3 and libvorbis 1.1.2. Do
I even need both of them, since I only need to have capability of

Per-cpu patches on top of PDA stuff...
Hi Jeremy, all,
Sorry this took so long, spent last week in Japan at OSDL conf then
netconf. After several false starts, I ended up with a very simple
implementation, which clashes significantly with your work since then
8(. I've pushed the patches anyway, but it's going to be significant
work for me to re-merge them, so I wanted your feedback first.
The first patch simply changes

SIP on Handhelds
Does anyone know if SIP will/is support on handheld PCs such as the iPaq
or Axiom? With their integrated 802.11b and Bluetooth it seems like a
solution to provide a wireless based sip phone for any user would be
possible. Handoff between access points might be problematic but most
users I know would be using their PDA phone in an airport with free
wireless or at the local cafe, etc, etc...

GPS-enabled cell phone/PDA
I would like to capture the lat/lon coordinates from a GPS-enabled cell
phone or PDA. Is this possible? Must I subscribe to this information
from the cellphone network provider, or can I capture it without charge?
What devices will broadcast the coordinates? Is there a device that
will broadcast its position inband that can be captured by Asterisk?
Can an SMS message include coordinates?
