FC3, TDM11B (DEVPCI) and asterisk
Hey folks;
I am a old Dialogic telephony hack and have tried asterisk a while back on
a laptop with the OSS module and I liked what I saw. I recently came across
some info regarding asterisk 1.0 and thought I should give it a go. I used a
AMD K7 MB, compiled the binaries without a real problem and realized that I
might have a sound card issue because I couldn't hear the messages but the

Asterisk box with unreliable ping/latency
Hello!
Over the last couple of days I?ve been trouble shooting a strange problem
with Asterisk.
First of all, I should say that I?ve been running Asterisk on a Fedora Core
3 box since last May, but decided to do a reinstallation of everything due
to some problems we?ve had with echos during conversations (100% SIP based,
so no ZAP echos). We are talking about a low-volume installation

Definitive HowTo for CENTOS 5 Winbind - Samba - Active Directory Integration
Hi all,
I have been out of the linux / unix loop for a good three years now, and a
lot has changed..
I have a windows 2003 server on my home office lan as my domain controller.
I would like to know if there is a good how-to that applies to Centos5 to
achieve the following:
Joining the centos machine to the AD domain (I believe I have done this
already)
Sharing files from it

now available: RwebWin
I ported Jeff Banfield's Rweb (http://www.math.montana.edu/Rweb/) to
Windows. In the process, I dropped some things (non-JavaScript version,
Rweb modules and data sets), but also simplified the installation process by
removing the dependency on NetPBM. A Ghostscript dependency remains,
however.

Spring VON Wrap Up
Having just returned from four days at the VON show in Santa Clara, I
thought I would submit a "highlights" message. I hope others who attended
the show will take the opportunity to add, as there was far more to see than
I can cover on my own.
[VoIP IS BIG]
First, I have to say that VoIP is BIG. It is the buzz technology of the
day. The show was packed, and everybody there was there

Lower cost router suitable for VOIP ?
Hi,
we're testing Asterisk 1 RC 2 behind ordinary router and NAT. Since we're
sharing network with web server it seems like voip packets are not coming
through fast enough (Digium demo dies after few seconds...). It's the same
if I make direct calls (passing Asterisk) so we conclude it's network
problem - it also work normally outside our router...
I wonder what solutions can we

Sipura SPA-2000
Hello,
I am very new to asterisk and voip in general and so far have managed to get the FXO card and a few sip phones working fine. My question is where does the Sipura SPA 2000 come in the picture? Can it be used as an extension (i.e FXS) ? Or is it to be used as a line (i.e FXO)? Or it can be used as both? My understanding is that its just like another ATA186. Is that true?
I guess what I

Dear R-programmers,
I would like to use one of the AS Algorithms that used to be published in

Software to generate an SRTP key pair?
I have been looking all over for software to generate the keys needed
to have secure calls with my Sipura. The only one that I have found is
on-line and thus not so secure:
http://voxilla.com/certrequest.php
Any pointers?
Thx,
