IAX2 NAT / Registration Issue
I have a client using IAX Phone at his office to connect to his Asterisk
located at a data center. His IAX Phone connects through his office NAT
gateway device (unfortunately I don't know the specific brand and model).
He can make calls just fine. However, he seems to have issues receiving
calls.
I monitored his Asterisk for a bit and noticed that his IAX Phone, which

Pulver's WiSIP with Linksys WAPs
I recently got a Pulver Innovations WiSIP wireless SIP phone to
determine if we want to use them in our organization. Since the WiSIP
phone arrived last week, I have had nothing but headaches. I do think
I now have the problem narrowed down.
I have spent a bulk of my time trying to get the WiSIP to work with a
couple of Linksys WAP11 Version 2.2. I have met with no success in
getting the WiSIP

Asterisk capacity
Hi,
I am really interested in the true capacity that Asterisk can handle.
What is the maximum number of users that can be handled by Asterisk on a
standard 2.4G P4 IBM server or similar? Anyone has a clue?
Cheer,
Vincent

802.11 phone review: WiSIP
Hello -
Here's my first impression review of the first SIP 802.11 phone. I
got my hands on the "first" one sold, so that perhaps makes me the
first person to have a real 802.11 SIP phone commercially in the US
interworking with Asterisk. Whee! Can someone point me to other
commercially shipping phones to prove me wrong?

Zyxel P2000W or WiSIP with asterisk?
Hi,
I'm trying to get a Zyxel P2000W (reportedly also sold as WiSIP by Pulver)
to work with an asterisk box.
The phone connects nicely to an external VoIP company (sipgate.de
reportedly using asterisk themselves) but there is a strange problem with
my asterisk:
- Incoming calls via ISDN (chan_capi) to the Zyxel work perfectly.
- Outgoing calls (capi/sip/iax) via asterisk are dialling out

Hi,
Anyone have any experience with either of these, I 'd appreciate some
feedback? Plus it seems pretty easy to steal a connection with this.

New Windows IAX Client
Announcing a new Windows-based IAX/IAX2 client. Please download it and
give it a try. Let me know about any bugs, and any missing features. I
have yet to come up with a catchy name for it, so at this point it calls
itself IAX Phone. (Suggestions? Non-derogatory suggestions,
preferably).

asterisk T100P to Merlin Legend
Management just approved purchase of a Digium T100P and a T1 card for
our Merlin Legend Switch. I will appreciate comments from anyone
performing this installation before:
- Which T1 card did you use in the Merlin Legend?
- Did you require any special interface? (CSU/DSU, etc)
- Any items to watch during installation.
Also we will need to remove one of our old analog Trunk cards to

Asterisk Call Manager for Windows 0.0.1 (Alpha)
If anybody is interested, I have an early version of my Call Manager for
Windows application integrated with Asterisk. CMW is an application bar
(like the task-bar) that docks to the top of your desktop window. It
provides the following functions:
1. View Call-Related Information (Caller ID, Call State, Call
Direction)
2. Monitor Status of Asterisk Stations (Channels) -- BLF or "Busy

Hello list, I was going to buy this weekend a Wisip from
http://www.pulverinnovations.com/, but jeff got out of stock and he wont
have Wisip for the next 3 to 4 weeks. So I start searching for other

http://www.fahdtel.com/sip_phones.htm, I liked so much the pic that I
email the guy and he send me the PDF with all the details

Presence (was FW: pda skype)
Dean Collins just sent out a message a second ago (responding to an earlier
posting regarding the new Skype PDA client). He said:
"Presence based information is the biggest 'seller' in the IP PBX market at
the moment, being able to tell what/where a person is certainly driving a
lot of sales through my door."
I would like to take a moment to second his message. Every

I'm in ADSI hell...
Folks,
I am in the process of fighting my way through my first foray into ADSI
phones. I have a very nice Aastra 480 from Sayson, purchased through
Cylogistics. Very nice phone. However, my experience in configuring ADSI
has been pure pain so far, and it's not all working yet...
1) The locking mechanism for these ADSI phones is... baroque? Arcane?
Perhaps there is a reason why you would

AstriCon Update: Very Low Priced Ground Transport Available
-- GOOD NEWS! --
As ground transportation and the costs associated therewith are something of
an issue. So, in the spirit of making AstriCon available I've contacted the
hotel and arranged/discovered some low cost options:
-- MARTA --
MARTA, the Atlanta mass-transit system (i.e. train) can get you there. Take
MARTA from the airport north to the Brookhaven station. The hotel shuttle

[Asterisk-Dev] RE: [Asterisk-biz] Asterisk training andcertification :: AstriconTraining
I feel this is a slap in the face for those of us that have been here and I
don't feel I should HAVE to pay to be certified... I think me and MANY
others are about to walk out of the project over this. I have already
spoken with many people that are close to the project. You're hurting US
and our ability to make money. I still know the code better than most of

Spring VON Wrap Up
Having just returned from four days at the VON show in Santa Clara, I
thought I would submit a "highlights" message. I hope others who attended
the show will take the opportunity to add, as there was far more to see than
I can cover on my own.
[VoIP IS BIG]
First, I have to say that VoIP is BIG. It is the buzz technology of the
day. The show was packed, and everybody there was there

Iax Client Library Issues? (DIAX, iaxComm, etc.)
Hi,
I seem to be having problems with IAX clients based on the iaxClient
library. I have been working on my own client (an augmentation to the
Call Manager I released last week) and it seems to regularly miss
incoming calls entirely. It also occasionally misses the drop signal
when the remote end drops a call.
Has anybody else seen this kind of behavior? I have tested with my
client, with
