Mixing SCSI devices on a single i/f
I have an external HP SureStore DLT VS80 with a SCSI LVD 68 pin interface and an external HP SureStore DAT24 with a SCSI Centronics 50 pin Narrow SE interface. The cable for the DAT has a Centronics connector at one end and a 68 Pin Wide to Narrow terminated connector at the other. The cable for the DLT has a LVD/SE 68 pin connector at both ends. I have terminator blocks for both devices.

ggplot inside function doesn't plot
I don't really understand. I mean, I understand the solution is print(ggplot(...)). But why is that required in a function and not at the console? Shouldn't I be able to rely on what I do at the console working in a script? Is this inconsistent behavior by design? Cookbook receipe for SCSI tape install requested.
I need to install an HP Surestore dlt on a Centos 4 machine and I am at a loss as to how to proceed. Can someone either provide or point me to an online reference on how to proceed to add and configure a SCSI adapter and tape drive. I have read, but not really understood, the man page entry for st. Does kudzu handle this? Regards, Jim I am a digest subscriber so the favour of an

Laptop SCSI capability supported by CentOS 7
I'm looking for a well-supported ExpressCard or PCMCIA/CardBus SCSI card that can do at least FastSCSI (Narrow, Wide not necessary) that is supported by CentOS 7. I have an Adaptec SlimSCSI 1460D, but it doesn't seem to be supported (it's previously supported by the aha152x driver). Any ideas are welcomed, other than 'just use a desktop.' I am not sure a USB or Firewire

SCSI controller setup
I have an IDE based PC running Linux/CentOS4 to which I wish to attach a scsi dlt. The host controller is an Adaptec AHA3940 something that lspci reports as: SCSI storage controller: Initio Corporation 360P (rev 02). I would like to have the system load the driver for this adapter at boot but I have two problems: 1. I am not sure which driver to use; and 2. I do not know how to force

Issue with Adaptec AIC79XX module and 2.6-xen kernel
I have an Adaptec 392320 Ultra320 SCSI adapter. I am running x86_64 SLES9 SP3. When I build x86_64 Xen with just the 2.6-xen kernel + initrd, I am getting the following error on the module load. But if I go back to building separate xenU and xen0 kernels without initrd the device works without any issues. Any idea what is going wrong here? Am I leaving something out of my initrd? Here is the

linux-2.6-xen kernels and initrds
I have a question regarding the building of the unified xen kernel (linux-2.6-xen) and the use of initrd. In the past I built both xen0 and xenU kernels; the xen0 default configurations had SCSI and Fusion MPT support compiled into the kernel. Now, they are built as modules. The problem is that I am unable to boot the xen kernel built that way, even though I am building an initrd. I have

3ware disk failure -> hang
I've got an i386 server running centos 4.2 with 3 3ware controllers in it -- an 8006-2 for the system disks and 2 7500-8s. On the 7500s, I'm running an all software RAID50. This morning I came in to find the system hung. Turns out a disk went overnight on one of the 7500s, and rather than a graceful failover I got this: Jan 6 01:03:58 $SERVER kernel: 3w-xxxx: scsi2: Command

Strange behavior zfs and soalris cluster
Hi All, Two and three-node clusters with SC3.2 and S10u3 (120011-14). If a node is rebooted when using SCSI3-PGR the node is not able to take the zpool by HAStoragePlus due to reservation conflict. SCSI2-PGRE is okay. Using the same SAN-LUN:s in a metaset (SVM) and HAStoragePlus works okay with PGR and PGRE. (both SMI and EFI-labled disks) If using scshutdown and restart all nodes then it will

ServeRAID 4Lx - Plain 2.6.12.6 works - Xen not
Hi *, I try to install Xen 3.0.0 on a IBM x342 with a ServeRAID 4Lx controller. The box boots with "plain" 2.6.12.6 (aic7xx- and serveraid-support included). It does not with a similar configuration of 2.6.12.6-xen0. Any hints, boot options? by Töns -- There is no safe distance. _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

(lspci-output added at the end of this mail!) Hi specialists, I''m trying to pass an HP Surestore USB-drive to a domU. I''m hiding the pci-device in the dom0, and capturing it in the domU.
