Problem in using bdh function for Govt tickers
Hi, all
I wanted to fetch data from Bloomberg for govt bonds, and analyse it
further.
I am having trouble in getting data as when I use field=PX_LAST, it is
giving the prices but when I use field=CPN, or ISSUE_DT, it is not giving
the results and just bouncing back <NA> for that.
This is the piece of code:

Asterisk forum created
I saw several threads requesting an Asterisk forum to complement the
email list. i.e.
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-dev/2004-February/003103.html
I recently created an Asterisk forum within TMC's popular VoIP forums
for everyone to use.

VoIP hackers gut Caller ID
The Register is carrying a article written by Kevin Poulsen of
Securtiy Focus, calling asterisk "..the most powerful tool for
manipulating and accessing CPN data.."
I hope NuFone doesn't drop asterisk-set-able callerid's after this
article; i've been wanting that feature from voicepluse for a long
time.

Long call setup with non-PRI T1
We have 2 T1's coming from our phone switch to a digium TE220B. We have
managed to get CPN and the extension outpulsed from the switch, but call
setups are really slow.
Our T1's are set up as E&M Wink, and they send us the last 5 digits
dialed followed by the 10 digit calling party number (we couldn't get
the switch to be happy with *CPN*+5* to use featd).
We are using asterisk

Trying to grasp the difference between local variables and instance variables/
Hi:
Would it be fair to say (or completely out to lunch) that a local
variable is local to a method and an instance variable is local to an
object. Thus an instance variable is a sort of limited global
variable or super-powered local variable. Its scope is larger than a
local but smaller than a global. Or that it is a global within a
limited domain (the object).
or is it a whole lot

LocalDiscovery detecting nodes through tunnel
Hi,
I have tried the LocalDiscovery feature of tinc.
The problem is that it also sends broadcast probes out the CPN interface
*and* detects nodes on the VPN. A connection is then established through
the tunnel, which effectively breaks connectivity between the two nodes.
I do not think that discovering hosts on the VPN makes sense in any way.
How can it be disabled?
I could easily netfilter

(no subject)
Hi everybody,
Hope your are not all on holyday because I've got a problem that is going to
drive me crazy...
I would like to remove some rows from a dataframe. The rows correspond to
some
specific indexes which I can get by looking at the name in the first column
of my dataset. But I manage to get only the opposite of what I really want

Astricon talk on wideband codecs
I missed the talk that was given on wideband codecs @ astricon last week.
I tried to lookup the speaker on astricon.net, but that website seems
horribly broken at the moment, showing only a tmcnet video, whatever
page i click on.
Would somebody have the contact details for that speaker ?
Greetings,
Zoa

New-ish list of hardware phone vendors
This is a fairly large list of hardware phones, features, and URLs,
with some vendors I've never heard of before on it. I suspect that
any phone that doesn't explicitly say "SIP" is an H.323 phone.

R demos
Hi All,
I am currently preparing some form of slideshow introducing R and its
capabilities for some colleagues. The thing will be about 30 mins, and
I'd like to have some "pretty pictures" and some "amazing facts" (I'm
trying to sell, obviously :)).
Can I ask if it's possible to easily retrieve a gross figure of the
number of functions in R considering the

Plot with a factor variable which has large values
I wanted to do a simple plot: Death Rate vs Clinical Site, and then draw a
confidence interval of Death Rate at each clinical site, which is a factor
variable with 100 levels. I used the following code:
plot(Site, Rate, col="red", type="o")
However, the graph was a short line at each site instead of points, and the
color was not red at all. Seem to me for factor variable all

[LLVMdev] BasicAliasAnalysis: Null pointers do not alias with anything
This is the first patch I've sent to this project. Please be gentle :)
LLVM fails to remove the dead load in the following code when running

%t = type { i32 }
declare void @foo(i8*)
define void @f(%t* noalias nocapture %stuff ) {

%before = load i32* %p

Iterative data.frame
Hi,
I would like to create data.frame and increment their name to finally merge
them.
Does anybody has a solution ?
Something like that ?
n<-6
for (i in 1:n) {
m[i]<-data.frame(name,value)
m<-merge(m[i]:m[n])
}
