Newbridge Mainstreet 3624 T1 channel bank no w Alcatel
In the 'me too' vein, I also have an untested 3624 here on the shelf and am
waiting on a shipment of T100 cards to play with.
Documentation is very hard to come by. Alcatel are certainly the owners of
the Mainstreet product line but, without a support contract, any
documentation they may have is essentially unavailable as their per-incident
fees for support cost more than most of the

Newbridge Mainstreet 3624 Manual
Hi all,
I have posted a copy of the 3624 manual on the web. It's 11MB and over
650 pages, so not exactly light reading! You can grab it at
http://www.caeveo.com/files/newbridge3624.pdf. Please be kind and save
it to your local machine instead of reading it from the web! Thanks!

Problem with digits blending on inbound pulsed digits?
I have a situation where I am receiving DID calls using Immediate Start
Pulse signalling on a Loop Start trunk. The line terminates on a Newbridge
Mainstreet 3624 channel bank, which provides battery etc. The channel is
converted and routed to Asterisk. The lines are configured as follows:
/etc/asterisk/zapata.conf
; Channels 1-24 service MainStreet 3624 channel bank
context=infrom-did
group=1

Problem with digits blending on inbound puls ed digits?
To answer my own question for the record:
The relevant timing parameters in zaptel.h are
#define ZT_MINPULSETIME (15 * 8) /* 15 ms minimum */
#define ZT_MAXPULSETIME (100 * 8) /* 150 ms maximum default, lowered
to 100ms */
#define ZT_PULSETIMEOUT ((ZT_MAXPULSETIME / 8) + 50)
And the pulse detecion loop that consumes these parameters begins at line
4866 of zaptel.c

Can Asterisk provide Answer Supervision signalling to a channel b ank via T1?
I have an older Newbridge Mainstreet 3624 upon which I'm terminating some
analog DID lines. They are effectively loop-start trunks with battery
supplied by me (ie. FXO) and consumed by the serving central office. One
major part of DID is the requirement for providing Answer Supervision in the
form of battery polarity reversal on the analog trunks. Without it wierd
things start happening, like

Re: 12.50$ per port ???
Shoval,
Interesting Mention. I agree, most people don't have CO exp. And I
wish daily I had enough.
Understand that what I mean by my e-mail is consumer side FXS ports, in
broader terms, I mean, customer picks up a phone line, it signals a
channel bank which signals *. 24 of those channels.
Not channels equipped to Send Signal to the CO that a loop has been made..
meaning FXO.

Bridged trunks stuck off hook.
Hi,
I'm getting a situation where 2 of my trunks (loopstart pots) are
occationally bridged together (3624 Newbridge channel bank - asterisk
signalling=fxs_ks for trunks) and are staying off hook until I do a 'soft
hangup' on one of them. When I listen on a butt set each of the lines are
silent (or at least by the time I find them). I am guessing one of the end
users isn't properly

Channel banks that you've used
I'm looking to buy a channel bank. I'll be using this to basically dual
a Toshiba PBX and Asterisk so that we can deploy Asterisk in small steps
and have the Toshiba as a fallback in case something goes wrong.
What I need is a channel bank that will allow me to take in 12 lines
using the FXO ports in the CB and then output those lines to the Digium
T100P.
Has anyone had experience

OT: computing percentage changes with negative and zero values?
Dear all
I need to compute percentage changes of my data, but unfortunately
they contain both negative and zero values, and I am quite confused on
how to proceed. Searching the internet I found that many people ran
into similar issues, with no obvious solution available.
The last couple of weeks I've been playing with all the data
transformations that I could think of. Below I will expose on

Zaptel ring voltage detection
We've inherited a pair of mostly identical PBX systems, each with a
TDM400P Rev I boards and 4 FXO modules. The production system is
running Asterisk-Now with 1.4.9, and despite some other issues, it
is able to answer inbound calls just fine. The replacement system is
currently running Asterisk 1.2.28, and is unable to detect incoming
calls, outbound calls work fine.
We discovered later

read codebook function
Anexed is my function for reading codebooks and the Vq Table. My problem is:
I read a codeBook number of 41, so i called this function above 41 times.
The firtst time, the sync patterns (BCV) is alligned correctly, so it reads correctly. the sencond time it is executed, the patter is not there anymore and there are only 8 BCV in my file.
function fReadBits1 is the same as the ogg's read bit

[PATCH libnbd v2 04/10] lib: Permit .callback = NULL, .free != NULL.
Previously the .free function of a callback was not called if the
.callback field was NULL, because the callback as a whole would be
considered to be "null".
This change allows you to register callbacks where the .callback field
is NULL, but the .free field is != NULL, meaning that the callback is
freed after the last time it would have been used.
This is mainly convenient for language

[PATCH libnbd] generator: Generate typedefs automatically for Closure arguments.
For example nbd_set_debug takes a callback function. Previously this
was defined explicitly inside the function parameters. This commit
defines a new public typedef:
typedef int (*nbd_debug_callback) (unsigned valid_flag, void *user_data,
const char *context, const char *msg);
and then uses the typedef like this:
extern int nbd_set_debug_callback

[PATCH libnbd 4/7] lib: Allow closure user_data to be associated with a free callback.
Mechanical change: Wherever we call any closure with the
LIBNBD_CALLBACK_FREE function, we also call nbd_internal_free_callback
with the closure's user_data. This allows calls to associate a free
callback with any closure via its user_data pointer.
