Asterisk Integration with Lucent Definity g3 si
We have had quite a bit of success with our T100P and TE410P cards interfacing to Nortel Meridian PBXes and also to a Livingston Portmaster 3 using ESF/B8ZS and various combinations of E&M wink and ISDN PRI (usually in 5ESS mode). In the near future, I may also need to interface to a Definity via a T1. I was planning to use PRI--is that an option for you on your switch? -----Original

Asterisk Integration with Lucent Definity g3si
Hi everyone, We have been working with Asterisk for a while now and would really like to expand its capabilities by fully integrating it with our Definity g3si and are wondering about other peoples experiences with similar setups. Thus far we have only been able to achieve a partial 1 way integration, but ultimately would love to route inbound voip calls to the asterisk out of the lucent.

h.323 Call problem asterisk to\from lucent(avaya) definity
Hello, We want to make H323 calls between asterisk and avaya(lucent) pbx. We create node-name,H.323 signaling group, trunk, but we can not make H.323 calls to asterisk. Also no warnings exist in debug. Instead of giving the IP of Asterisk ,i give my computer's IP and run SJPhone ith H.323 GUI. In this time, connection is established. SJPhone accepts H323 calls but Asterisk does not. Do

Lucent and ISDN-PRI
Hi Everyone, So I have been further exploring the integration of our asterisk server and our lucent definity g3si system. I took the suggestion of setting up an isdn-pri line added the two way tie trunk and the signalling group, but can't seem to get the PRI signalling working on the asterisk correctly. I've set pri type to network on the lucent, and pri_cpe in zapata on the asterisk, but

Avaya/Lucent Definity -> Asterisk interop question
Calling all Definity admins, Got a few questions about Definity -> Asterisk interoperability. 1) What are the options for integration? Can I hand off extensions from the Definity and vice versa? 2) Anybody have any working configs they would like to post? I've found and read the legacy integration on the wiki about the two systems. I've also googled and found a few threads that were

.NET tagging library for ogg Vorbis
Hello, I've mainly finished the native ogg Vorbis tagging .NET library. It already works well for reading and writing the vorbis comments for the files I tested. The library only rewrites the entire file if it has to, and adds 2 K padding in this case so that further changes of the comments won't make it nescessary to rewrite the whole file again. I found out foobar2000 also does it this

Lucent iMerge
I've read the wiki and other resources on how to connect Vonage / Voicepulse and all these other services to Asterisk... We are attempting a connection to a Lucent iMerge. Lucent has told us that it won't work - but we feel confident that it will. Has anyone worked with the Lucent iMerge - or would be willing to help lend a hand? It is capable of H323 / MGCP. Even if I could make the

OT: Are you using a Lucent?
Is anyone out there using Lucent brand equipment to handle an incomming DS3, converting all 672 calls to SIP (as G729) and sending those to Asterisk/SER over ethernet? If you are and are willing to speak to my boss about your experiences (over the phone) with it, please contact me off list. We have a possible contract with a local CLEC to handle their long distance, and they want to send to

Using Lucent/Avaya 64XX sets with asterisk
Hi all, I am new to asterisk, but experienced with Linux and Avaya/Lucent G3R hardware/software. We currently have a large inventory of spare Lucent 64XX phone sets. I'm considering setting up an asterisk system for a remote office, and would like to use the Lucent sets because they are cheap, and familiar to my end users. Does anyone know of a card that can drive these sets? I think

OT: Lucent, Cisco, DS3 and SS7
I've posted this before but before it was just wishful thinking. But now it has become a real need. Our boss has a 5 year grudge against Lucent. They had a Lucent here that would simply stop processing calls. No alarms. No nothing. I'm sure that in 5 years, new software has been released. I've got another guy running several AS5400HPX's telling me that you can only do about

Asterisk with Lucent TNT echo
I'm running SIP between my Lucent TNT acting as a gateway, and an asterisk server. We have a PRI coming into the Lucent. Basically the problem I'm having is mostly on inbound calls but some outbound calls as well. I hear echo and sometimes some weird artifacting on calls coming in from the lucent. Everything routed over IAX to VoIP Jet or Nufone sounds fine. It seems like every 3

Lucent Partner extension to X100P
Hi All... I'm currently trying to have an extension of my Lucent Partner phone system connected to Asterisk using an X100P. The issue I'm having is that the Lucent Partner analog port connection have different ring and dialtone than the one specified for US in indications.conf. Anyone have accomplished this connection before. I need to know what I should use for the different

Asterisk and Lucent APX8100 Universal Gateway
we're evaluating the use of a Lucent APX8100 E3/SS7 to SIP gateway for use in conjunction with asterisk, serving something like 4000+ lines. does anyone have experience with the APX8100 and it's integration with SIP on asterisk ? does the APX8100 handle SS7<->SIP signalling well enough to be used ? any anecdotes would be well appreciated. -- Regards,

Lucent TNT Help
I'm looking for someone familiar with setting up some of the more advanced features of the Lucent TNT, preferably someone with knowledge of Trunk Groups and choosing outgoing PRI channels based on call type and perhaps NPA-NXX We currently have 8 PRI's. 7 of them are for our dialup pool, the 8th is for our voip. We currently run the dialup PRI's to a seperate TNT We want to

Two questions for Asterisk setup (Definity G3R and NFAS Trunk Gro ups)
Hi, I'm a lab manager / supervisor at our labs. We've had Asterisk in use for over a year directly hooked to the PSTN - a no brainer for configuration (although I had to fix some AT&T specific things in libpri). Right now I have two big challenges. One is to hook our box up lineside to a Lucent Definity G3R. Avaya is chasing this from their end, but we had the highest level of

* -> Lucent PBX
The Wiki mentions Lucent PBXs but really only the large ones. I've got to get a small 4 x ISDN in with 4 proprietary ISDN out plus 4 analog out connected up to an * to give VoIP capability. I have no docs at all. Looking at the front plate it has 3 incoming connections 2 in use marked T0 and one unused S0. I have an HFC card and wonder if I can use bri-stuff to make use of the S0. -- Dave

Fax to Email with Asterisk and Lucent TNT
Hello, I have a Lucent MAX TNT, (DS-3, 672 modem ports, 28 PRIs). I'd like to be able to direct an inbound fax call into my TNT, have it answer the fax and send the image file over to Asterisk, or some other system to deliver to an e-mail address(s). I'm not sure if I need Asterisk to any of the call control or not. I'd also like to setup a print queue and have outbound
