More Success on the Cisco 7920 and SCCP !!!!!
Hi All, have some decent success on the 7920 "activation" in Asterisk. Latest status: chan_skinny does NOT work with 7920 chan_sccp does WORK with 7920 (!!) however: to remove coredumping the chan_sccp just comment out the MWI (messagewaitingindicator), then it compiles fine. Then change sccp_helper.c: return "P0060302" instead of the old value. and voila: Phone is

Announcement: Another test release of chan_sccp
Hi all, we are happy to announce the new test-release of chan_sccp. The Cisco 7920 support is working now, however, some call handling stuff is hardcoded for testing. Also some more in-deep-knowledge of Skinny was archieved, how they handle calls. Please test it with your 7940/7960 and 30VIP and report any problems using our bug tracking tool. The latest tarball is available at:

chan-sccp problem, phone is not registering
Hi list! I'm trying to configure the Kirk IP 600 wireless (DECT) system. The wireless phones are regular DECT phones, the Kirk IP 600 is doing the voip part by registering/gatewaying the phones to a callmanager server. The phones do not work and I think the problem is that they do not register at asterisk but I'm not sure because I don't understand a thing of the sccp/skinny

dreaded Caller*ID failed checksum
Caller*ID used to work as some point, but I can't seem to get it going these days. The card is a x101p. I've tried going up and down the rxgain scale. Can the txgain effect it at all? When I plug in a phone into the line with a splitter it can decode caller id with no problems. Reading through the mailing list archives hasn't given me any move clues. Any ideas?

Kirk SIP-DECT gateway
Hi, I just got some interesting information from Kirk Telecom (www.kirktelecom.com). This company has been in the business of providing DECT solutions (IP gateway, base stations, repeaters and handsets) either to be used with Cisco CallManager (SCCP protocol) or with the Innovaphone IP PBX system (H.323). Two important elements: 1. It seems they foresee a SIP version of their product in Q1

Cisco 7940 with asterisk
Hi all, I've been playing around with a cisco 7940 phone. It seems to like talking to Asterisk with the chan_sccp plugin. The only problem is that it tries to call out to a SEPXXXXXXXXX.cnf.xml file to verify it's configuration. I've found docs for SEP*.cnf files, but not .xml ones. Does anyone have a .xml file for a 7940 (Skinny?) phone that I can start with? ...Jeff

quota and dict
I have a question about using dict and quotas. I want dovecot to send quota queries to a custom dict server over a socket. I'm doing this because I can't do group quotas based on domain since a customer can have each of their users associated with different domains under a single account. I need to lookup the account ID and group based on that. I'm worried putting everything in mysql

accumulating orphaned processes
I'm getting orphaned processes on our mail servers. Some machines has processes hanging around from a week ago. I'm running the current stable of dovecot 2.1.15, but the problem has been happening for a while now. I thought it would be good to report the issue. I ran an strace on one of them and this is the output: Process 21370 attached - interrupt to quit

Need fast Maildir to mdbox conversion
I looked around the 'Net to see if there might be a custom program for offline Maildir to mdbox conversion. So far I haven't turned up anything. The problem for us is that the dsync program simply takes a lot of time to convert mailboxes. I wonder if time could be saved with a program that is optimized to convert mailboxes without the fancy locking that dsync needs to do. Does have (or

Problem compiling chan_sccp
Hi, I recently bought a 7910. I found out too late that it would not do SIP as I initially thought. Anyway before ditchingit for a 7960 I wanted to try it out, I read that the guys at http://chan-sccp.sourceforge.net/ had done some improvements to the original chan_sccp driver and having 80% functionality with this model. I have not been able to compile their driver and keep getting the

http://chan-sccp.berlios.de/ 20050713 ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/chan-sccp/chan_sccp-20050713.tar.bz2 I didn't have a spare 7960 to use this week, so maybe some line issue is still present. - fixed a memory leak on database updates (dnd, cfwd*) - fixed old memory leak on unload (now unload chan_sccp.so and load chan_sccp.so work. It does reload the config when asterisk is running) - socket

Cisco 7960 Skinny calling SIP phone
Before I got down the path of converting a Cisco 7960 I have over to SIP I wanted to try and set it up using Skinny. The phone registers ok with Asterisk. When I call a SIP softphone extension on my network the call is made and I can answering it. However no voice is heard over the call. When I debug Skinny on the console after the call has connected I see the following messag: Recieved Alarm

Cisco 7960G, Skinny.conf, and reboots
I could use some skinny/Cisco help here. Was finally able to get the phone registered to * but whenever someone tries to call that phone it freezes and reboots itself. Same thing happens when you pick the handset up off the 7960G; it locks and reboots about 5 sec later. Here is what * shows when I plug the phone in: -- Starting Skinny session from 64.72.107.1 Device SEP000F3442E4A7 is
