How to determine Ext2/3 FileSystem state ?
hi all,
I intend to write a snapshot module for Ext2/3 file-systems.
For that i need to make sure that FS is in consistent state before taking
snapshot.
For ex. in case of UFS, the superblock has a fs_clean flag which is set to
be
FSSTABLE to tell that its in consistent state. (otherwise its set to
FSACTIVE)
I m not able to find any such information for Ext2/Ext3.

1000''s of classes and filters
Hi,
More than 1000''s of classes and filters gets created/deleted in run time.
Are we doing it correctly( as our requirement is such).
Since few days we are facing lots of problems, like the server gets hanged, we get some junk messages in our logs.
we have to reboot our server every now and then.
What is the max limit of classes/filters can be created.
we are using redhat 7.3.

Hi,
I am a beginner to Asterisk. Can anybody clear my following doubts regarding
the configuration needed?
1) What is the ideal system configuratin required?(like processer, RAM, h/d
space etc)
2) How many connections it can handle at a time?

Parking extension not working
I have the standard parking.conf but extension 700 doesn't show up in my
dialplan.... Why? I can dial 701 which tells me that I don't have any
calls parked there. 700 just gives me invalid extension noise....
Should I have extension 700 defined elsewhere?
Thanks

sum of child rates exceeds parent rate
Hi,
i have created a parent class with 45Meg rate/ceiling
Note : The actual traffic flowing via that pc is around 6Meg to 15Meg
I assume the problem will come only when the traffic is more than 45Meg.
Now if i create child classes whose sum of rates crosses more than 45Meg ?
1.How that tc behaves.
2.Will this affect browsing.
Pls let me know this details

before you start throwing stones to me let me tell you that I am a bit new
to Linux. I downloaded Asterisk from the cvs server on Wednesday 15 July
2004, as described in Andy Powell's "Getting Started with Asterisk"
(http://www.automated.it/guidetoasterisk.htm). Thanks Andy! I read about the
Asterisk 1.0 RC1, and I would like to download it and install it.
Could someone tell
