Xten Lite Build 1079
I've just down loaded Xten Lite and it is now build 1079. It now finds the NAT firewall type and has loads more to configure. But it doesn't work on my poor W95 tablet PC. -- Dave Cotton Directeur Linux Autrement 193 rue Marcel Cerdan 84270 Vedene 04 90 23 30 81 "Internet Sheriff Technology" revendeur en France <http://www.linuxautrement.com> IAX 17004902330

asterisk 1.2.12 lost phone registrations today... why?
I lost my internet connection today for a short time. During that time 1.2.12.1 stopped talking to my phones. Asterisk was still working as I got 2 voicemails. I have TDM analog cards for incoming calls. Anyway my cisco phones had X's (lost registration) and my uniden phones said "Registration error". Why would phones loose registration to asterisk when the internet connection

[Asterisk-Dev] Memory Leak in Stable?
Hello, I have a client that has a fairly small installation (20 SIP Phones) that is running Stable. Asterisk appears to be consuming large quantities of memory, and growing uncontrollably to the point where after about 6 weeks the box starts to swap itself to death. I've been keeping my eye on it today, and in the last 12 hours, it has grown by about 8 megabytes, and there has been

TE405P w/ Intel SE7210TP1_E Motherboard
Hello, I'm looking at building a couple new PRI Gateway boxes using TE405P cards, and was wondering if anyone has had any experiences (good or bad) with the Intel SE7210TP1_E motherboards from Intel. General Technics builds some really nice (and cost effective) 1U servers based on the board: Server: http://www.gtweb.net/gt637.html Specs:

[Asterisk-Dev] Cluecon - Who's going ?
I'm relatively new to Asterisk and I'm hoping attending Cluecon will be a good way to get up to speed on the project and hear about what others are doing with it. We currently use a Cisco IP phone system at my office, although I just added an asterisk box to provide soft phones to our travelling users. (IAX2 is a lot easier to get through firewalls than cisco's protocols). Terry

Asterisk on MS Virtual Server
Hi, This might not be a very popular question, but I was just wondering if anyone have ever tried to run Asterisk on a Windows computer using Microsoft Virtual Server (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/virtualserver/default.mspx). I am told that you can run Linux on a virtual server using this software, so in theory it should be possible. I run a windows based domain, but am also

Grandstream Early Dial
I have upgraded my grandstream phone from firmware 1.0.3.78 to 10.0.4.30 and now I am having problems with early dial. On the older firmware earlydial worked fine with my asterisk server, but now as soon as I have dialed the number I get a congested tone, and the number 4 flashes up on the LCD screen. Has anyone had this problem, and if so, how do I fix it? -------------- next part

yet another Asterisk and VMware question
I looked through this forum and other lists trying to get a definitive answer to the VMware question... I have a Windows 2003 Server box that is my development machine. It is fully loaded with many s/w packages, dev tools, etc. It's not very feasible to convert this box to Linux without losing an awful lot of stuff. On it, I'm running VMware GSX 3.1.0. Under VMware, I have a

Polycom IP 300/500 Conferencing Behavior
Hello, I've got a mixture of SPIP 300 and 500 phones in production for various clients. I've got the XML settings configured for local conferencing, but I'm not seeing the expected behavior from the phone when I attempt to conference two calls together. 7zip benchmark
Hi, I could try latest 7zip (4.57) on a triple boot machine (Debian SID i386, x86_64 and native Windows XP SP2), and found something surprising in the results : amd64 at 2400MHz linux32 -> 1814 linux64 -> 1946 win32 -> 2004 So performance is much better in Linux 64 bit than in 32 bit, while both are slower than native windows system. Is it normal, I mean does anyone else obtain

Don't forget to use torrents for your downloads!
For those who may forget, usin torrents to download and share the new images will get you faster downloads (if enough folks participate) if you have a "fat" pipe and alleviate the load on the CentOS servers. I have a "chubby" pipe (~ 1.2MB/sec) and got the stuff really quickly earlier today. If your torrent has distributed hash table capability, I suggest that you also use
