Core voice prompts in french ?
Dear all, I'd like to know if the "core" (demo, voicemail...) asterisk prompts have ever been recorded in french (and are freely available). If not, I'm willing to have them studio-recorded by a professional speaker, and contributed back to the community. Does a message list exist ? -- Nicolas Bougues Axialys Interactive

Current database abstraction effort ?
Dear all, I read across Asterisk's lists archives, and found out various discussions about how nice it would be to have a (SQL) database abstraction layer enabling the use of various SQL backends, for various purposes inside of Asterisk. As far as I see, there is no such thing yet, although there are various efforts (on CDR and voicemail, mostly) to use external databases. As I'm

IPv6: What You Need to Know Now
Yes, the thanksgiving holiday is here (in the USA)! But also, the fear of running out of IP addresses next year has raised its ugly head and since we don't do Thanksgiving in Europe, we have some serious talking to do about this problem. This Friday at 12 Noon EST, Olle Johansson will be joining us to describe the state of the migration to IP v6 in VoIP-dom. Olle (@oej) needs no introduction.

Multiple Asterisk servers sharing/propagating registry ?
Dear all, I'd like to know if there is a way for multiple asterisk servers to share a common SIP and/or IAX registry. The setup I imagine would be something like : - several asterisk servers called sip1.isp.com, sip2.isp.com, ... - a DNS alias sip.isp.com pointing to all the addresses (thus providing a round robin resolution on each server) - each SIP client would register with sip.isp.com

AW: AW: Snom 200 with two extns defined anyone?
Please forgive me if this is a silly question. I've been following this thread in the hope that I could put my * server and snom 200 into full-time service very soon. I need to find out how to have the lines configured so that it does not return a busy reply when only one call instances is engaged. Am I supposed to create multiple extensions on my asterisk dialplan to reflect the 5 call

Music on hold...
No, you don't need a sound card. Do you have ztdummy loaded or zaptel device in your system? Client for P800/P900
Hi Guys, is there a client which can be used on the SonyEricsson P800/P900...? IAX would be cool, but i take anything that can connect (via bluetooth) to an asterisk-server ;-). The phone is Symbian, and can also execute java-stuff... Question on simultaneous IPv4 and IPv6 "any address" listening
Thanks to everyone for a fruitful discussion, links and ideas. The result is nearing a merge at https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/pull/2013 and seems to not upset CI on any platform, including Windows (which behaves funny WRT binding to the same host:port as many times as you ask). Ultimately the chosen logic is that if there was a `LISTEN * <port>` in `upsd.conf`, the depending on

Hi, I keep getting entries like these in my logs: network unreachable resolving '0.centos.pool.ntp.org/AAAA/IN': 2001:500:40::1#53: 1 Time(s) network unreachable resolving '0.centos.pool.ntp.org/AAAA/IN': 2001:500:e::1#53: 1 Time(s) network unreachable resolving '0.centos.pool.ntp.org/AAAA/IN': 2001:dc3::35#53: 1 Time(s) I don't see any IPV6 parameters to

IPv6 and Asterisk?
Hi, I've been experimenting with an IPv4 and IPv6 VoIP setup using SER. I'm using Asterisk for voicemail, etc. but as this only works for IPv4, I had to do a number of tricks to get it going for IPv6 phones. I was wondering whether there is any interest or plans in the pipeline to have Asterisk IPv6-enabled. Any info, especially by the developers out there, would be welcome. Thanks, --

GrandStream Budgetone Phone & DHCP & General Observations
Symptom: Phone after about 15mins will stop functioning Problem: DHCP lease renewed but default route dropped Fix: Assign a static ip and problem is resolved. Upgrade to new firmware once it is released It turn's out that these phones have a few issue in 1.0.3.81 firmware. The phone may stop transmitting packets if configured with DHCP, if DHCP is being provided by certain devices. Netopia

Asterisk IPv6 update - we need an update
Friends, At the first Astricon I was very happy to see Marc Blanchet as one of the attendees. I knew he was one of the IPv6 gurus and wanted someone to show some interest in Asterisk and IPv6. Well, he did not only get interested in it, but started coding on it. The results have been available for quite some time at http://www.asteriskv6.org/ and Marc has tested it at several SIPits for

mrtg 2.16.2 ipv6 on centos 6
Hi, i'm running CentOS 6.0 on my server and installed mrtg from the rpm-package mrtg-2.16.2 . I also installed the depending packages perl-IO-Socket-INET6 perl-Socket6 .... mrtg works fine with IPV4-Addresses. When i specify a Target by IPV6-Address (or hostname resolving to a V6-address) mrtg fails. Here i have a small sample-config for V4 which is working: LogDir: /tmp ThreshDir: /tmp

IPv6 version specific classification in crossbow
Hi all, As part of IPv6 version specific classification support in crossbow we are introducing ip_version option in flowadm interface and associated classification functions. If ip_version option is not specified, but v4 or v6 address is passed as arg. to ip_addr option of flowadm cli that can also help to populate version specific bits in flow_mask to specify if policy (and flow entry

Centos 5x ipv6 sendmail smtps
Hi all, I'm working my way through v6ing our network. I have a mail server with the default dovecot/sendmail configuration working happily for pop3, pop3s, imap, imaps, smtp, and smtps on v4. I have managed to get all but smtps working on v6. Following is the relevant sendmail.mc - DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Name=MTA-v4, Family=inet, Name=MTA-v6, Family=inet6') DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtps,
