Snom 200 phones not working.
I have 2 Snom 200 and would like to get them to work properly with
Asterisk. With the Firmware 2.02t I am able to use the phone. But only
one line configured. With there newer firmware 2.03o it will not allow
me to make calls. But I can get calls on the unit. Again the 2nd line
is not able to be registered. Is this an issue with Asterisk or Snom?
I could use some example configuration

"./blah/blah" vs. "/blah/blah"
Hello,
Earlier in my rails application, I was using the convention of writing the
following to refer to templates and/or views in the view folder.
"./blah/blah"
But in the Edge rail, it doesn''t work and the page doesn''t shows any output
there is no error in the development log as well. But changing the above to
"/blah/blah" seems to fix things.

new CentOS5.1, samba help requested
Hi all,
I'm fighting with samba on a new CentOS 5.1 install.
The goal here is to have unix/linux usernames/passwords used for the
samba shares (which i'll setup using webmin, as I find it easy that
way). At present, the home share and one for the company's public share
are in place.
I can see the server, browsing from WinXP to \\172.16.0.106, but
permissions seem amiss. I

Agile book apache2.conf: Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Appreciate any help -
I am working through Agile web development (4.0) and am stuck on the
deployment using phusion passenger. I get this:
"Forbidden
You don''t have permission to access / on this server."
when I put depot.yourhost.com in the browser.
I have been through various web searches and for file permissions and
suggestions to change the <Files> container.

CLI Timeout ?
Is there a cli timeout at all ? I normally leave a remote session connected
just to monitor and view what's going on. Yesterday, I went to my console
and found the message
pbx*CLI>
Disconnected from Asterisk server
Now, I thought that may I had restarted the * server from somewhere else and
had forgotten about this old session.
However, it's happened again today, and I know that I

AW: AW: Snom 200 with two extns defined anyone?
Please forgive me if this is a silly question. I've been following this
thread in the hope that I could put my * server and snom 200 into
full-time service very soon. I need to find out how to have the lines
configured so that it does not return a busy reply when only one call
instances is engaged.
Am I supposed to create multiple extensions on my asterisk dialplan to
reflect the 5 call

Index abuse
How resilient is Dovecot's indexing mechanism? (seeing as it's been
extensively re-vamped I guess this question may have different answers for
0.99 & 1.0).
To put it in context, I'm playing with server-side automatic maintenance
scripts for things like deleting messages more than x days old from folders
a, b, c, etc. (using Maildir layout). So far I'm just zapping files in

How to xfer calls or is my setup wrong?
I am having problems transferring calls from one sip extension to
another - the extensions use various phones hardware/software.
From what I can tell I should just be able to press # and then dial an
extension to blind xfer a call right? How do I do attended xfer?
Either the phones (for this test I have tried xlite and budgetone102)
are not sending DTMF correctly or something else is amiss...

Recognition Failure
I keep getting a Recognition failed for "/dispatch.fcgi" error. I
search for a solution and the closest I came to finding one was
someone saying "look at the Rewrite in .htaccess and you''ll be able
to figure it out." Well, I can''t! If anyone could help, I would
appreciate it.
Thanks!

I have one subnet (192.168.2/24), with several Fedora 11 machines and

dmarc report faild ?
In the same vein,
I am receiving forensic DMARC reports from mx01.nausch.org.
Whenever I send a message to the mailing list or when my server sends a
DMARC report, I'm getting a DMARC Forensic report.
It's odd, because the actual report tells me both DKIM and SPF (in the
the of a DMARC report) pass...

new facebooker
Hi guys,
I am new to this list and thought i''d say hello. I am using
facebooker on a new project and so far I am really pleased with it. I
saw that some users are having woes with the url_rewriter breaking
urls for paths outside of the facebook canvas (i.e. your site
supports both facebook and non-facebook users). I don''t have a
prefect answer for this but I wrote a

I'm building a ZFS storage server with a SuperMicro H11SSL motherboard,

Apache: mod_balancer vs. mod_proxy_balancer
I''m trying to setup a mongrel cluster. I''m relying on information
collected from a number of sources but I''m relying heavily on
http://mongrel.rubyforge.org/docs/apache.html.
I have noted that a number of sources mention the necessity of having
the mod_balancer module installed in Apache. However, my primary
source makes no mention of this; but instead, mentions only
