sip over h323
Hi List, we are using openh323 gatekeeper for voip telefony. We also have a voip over ss7 TELES Switch for voip into POSTN Network. Know we want to use Asterisk for converting SIP to h323. Now my question. Is Asterisk an full h323 gatekeeper like openh323? Do we need openh323 GK for astrerisk, too?. And how can i tell asterisk to sent all none SIP-ip calls to the gatekeeper over h323? thx

Share & Domain Level Authentication Required From Same Server
Using 'Samba version 2.2.1a' Please could someone offer advice in order to configure the following. I need domain level authentication for most shares, however 1 share needs to be made available to a none domained NT client, such that perhaps share or user level security would be appropriate. How can this be configured on a single samba server. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds

Troubleshooting with "gpd" (Fit generalized pareto model)
Up to now, I have recognized problems with "gpd(..)", the function from the package "evir" I think that all these functions that estimate the parameters xi, beta for the GPD by given threshold mu use the function "optim(..)" ( gpd, fitgpd, ...) "Error" example: data1 <- rgpd(1000, xi= -1.5, mu=1000, beta=100) so the created poinnts take place in about

Recovering a broken mirror
We have a production SunFireV240 that had a zfs mirror until this week. One of the drives (c1t3d0) in the mirror failed. The system was shutdown and the bad disk replaced without an export. I don''t know what happened next but by the time I got involved there was no evidence that the remaining good disk (c1t2d0) had ever been part of a ZFS mirror. Using dd on the raw device I can see data

ProxyJump does not accept IPv6 for the intermediate host?
Hello, it seems I cannot use: $ ssh -J root at 2a01:4f8:1c1e:528d::1 root at west-coast Invalid -J argument (The west-coast is stored on the jump host in between in /etc/hosts.) $ ssh -J root at 167.235.141.44 root at west-coast Works as expected. Also $ ssh root at 2a01:4f8:1c1e:528d::1 does work as expected. I do have native IPv6. This is on Debian 12 Bookworm: $ ssh -V OpenSSH_9.2p1

llvm-lit output directory - role?
Hi, I use llvm-lit in my own project. Works fine so far. However, executing the tests, I get output directories which are empty. Whats the role of them? I could not find any hint in the docu. I was expecting that e.g. for RUN: X, the output of X would be located there. I can use RUN: X > log, then I get a log file right besides the test file, and not in oputput. Where can I find more docu

Is there such a thing as "Password Safe Forwarding"?
Hello everyone, I work in a setting where remote logins are usually authenticated with SSH user keypairs, but many target accounts need to have a password set nonetheless (to use with sudo, log in via remote KVM, etc.) and cannot be put under a central user administration like LDAP. Enter a corporate password policy that requires passwords to be complex, different everywhere, and of limited

Fwd: 8.2.2004 Quick recovery and fix for unbootable machines with rescue disk
Hello all-- These instructions are somewhat OK but my messed up box is the only one I've got basically to help with this problem. Where can we find "correction" instructions using a "rescue" CD or flash drive? I understand RedHat provided detailed instructions to supported customers. Thanks. _______________________ Sent from MzK's phone. ---------- Forwarded message
