Wrapping a Windows DLL
Hi,
maybe this is a common question, in which case I would be very glad for a
few pointers to corresponding information. Here is what I am hoping to
achieve:
A device (a DSLR, but that should not really matter) can be controlled by
the computer via USB. The manufacturer provides an SDK and a couple of
DLLs, but no USB documentation and certainly no source. It's using the SDK

Domain Users Group Effective Permissions on Workstation files after upgrade from 3.0.4 to 3.0.11
I have had a running 3.0.4 server running for quite some time with no
problem.
I built a new server with Fedora core 3 & ending up with SAMBA 3.0.11
running.
Workstation running windows xp pro with sp2 applied
Things are generally ok, but I am finding that group permissions at the
workstation are not being carried to the user, specifically for Domain

One-to-one or one-to-many association
Hi,
I am creating a stock control application.
I have a table called "equipment_type" that stores a general
description of a piece of equipment. This could be for instance: Canon
60D DSLR camera.
I also have an table called "equipment" that stores all the equipment
we have with their serial numbers. There may be many Canon 60Ds and
they should refer to the

Ogg is great!! Tools: ffmpeg2theora, oggz
Hi, I just wanted to say that I've recently become a fan off the ogg movie format. I haven't really done much with video before, but I recently got a Canon DSLR which can record HD movies at 30 fps, 720p. The resulting files are great, but too large to share over the web.
After trying a few different encoding tools, I quickly found that ffmpeg2theora is super easy to use, gives good

Problem setting up nexthop
Dear Alexey,
Sorry to bother you with this small question about nexthop syntax failing,
but I haven''t found anyone else who can answer it - including Matthew Marsh
or those on the lartc mailing list. The problem, with 2.2.19 and 2.2.20
kernels and versions of iproute2 up to iproute2-2.2.4-now-ss001007 (the most
recent that compiles for me), is that this command does not work:

There are about 20 subnets including the private Class B subnet.
I want to mark the packets that will go on the Internet, and leave out the

Sort of solution to traffic only going to last nexthop
Just wanted to let the people who have trouble with this know that I got
it to work.
I ditched my Gentoo install and fired up Fedora Core 4. But it was not
working out of the box.
When I updated to the latest kernel rpm 2.6.15 it worked like a charm :D
So.. Fedora Core 4 with the latest 2.6 kernel ought to get you up and
running.
Hope this helps someone. My three weeks of anguish are

ip route and nexthop: the "CentOS" way
Hi,
I'm wanting to configure a CentOS 6 server to have a fall-back default route via
a second network interface.
Given:
- eth0 with 192.168.0.10 on subnet 192.168.0.0/24 gateway 192.168.0.1
- eth1 with 192.168.1.10 on subnet 192.168.1.0/24 gateway 192.168.1.1
Where eth0's network is a "back door" to the internet, and eth1's is the "front
door", I believe I can

PSTN tones with ISDN4Linux
Hi all,
I'm playing with Asterisk and I've already configured all needed .conf
files.
It works quite well, but now I need your help to tune the system: when I
place a call from a softphone to the PSTN, I can't hear directly Telco's
tones and I can't use its services, e.g. a mobile's answering machine.
I don't know if I have to modify the dialplan or if it depends on my

bridging iaxtel calls to PSTN
Hello,
I just started using asterisk, and have a question. I have setup two
asterisk servers, A and B. A has a Digium TDM400 11B card (1 FXO and 1
FSX modules) and is connected to the PSTN. B has same, but is NOT
connected to PSTN. I want to configure B to call A via iaxtel, and
connect to the PSTN using A's line. How can I configure iaxtel dial
plan for B in extensions.conf? I want to be

Problems hanging up PSTN line
I am having problems with * not hanging up an incoming PSTN line, if
that line is not answered before the person calling in hangs up.
The line hangs in various states, it has hung with a busy tone, with no

I am running *@home and have a digium 4port line card. This was
configured by the genzaptel command I then added trunks for each line.
I also have a Pulver WiSip phone which I

IAXTEL Inbound, and Outbound Tollfree Changes
Last night Mark and I made some changes to the IAXTEL tollfree outbound,
and inbound access.
The inbound access number has changed to: 248-724-0700.
(This number is in Pontiac, MI Ratecenter, and is supplied by
Telesthetic LLC, a next gen phone compnay)
This number will say "Please dial your number now" at that point
you can dial your 1-700-XXX-XXXX IAXTEL number assigned.
